I'm so sorry for your loss
Thanks guys. I'm in such a weird mental state. Coping though, and trying to get back into my normal groove.

I just ordered the first Kushiel book because everyone in the buddy reads seem to really enjoy them.

So sorry for your loss.

Anni, was this somewhere in Germany? We're going on holidays to Germany (Willingen) this summer and were looking for some things to visit.

Yes, me! Good luck to you too :)

Sorry to hear about your loss, Yanique. Big hug.

Yes, it was this one: http://www.hochwildpark-rheinland.de
It's actually closer to the belgian border than to Willingen, don't know if that's too far away? I live farther west (Region Cologne/ Bonn) so I don't think I'm much help here...

So I was searching for a place to cry about my mistake on applying on so many BR then I heard about random chatter. First 10 days of Jun & July especially scares me!
my schedule on excel
I guess I shouldn't commit so many BR's, its gonna be super hard to catch you guys on Wheel of Time ^^ I don't know how you guys read so many books, especially @Iain, he is where ever I look lol.
We actually do tracker threads here... probably shouldn't look at mine :D

Wow that's a very detailed tracker you have there. But I love all your Sanderson books :-) Hope you enjoyed them.
Thanks for all the kind words and hugs guys!
Getting caught up on my BRs from March so I can start the April ones I planned. Thinking I may add a few more to make up for lost time, though I did initially limit myself to 4 a month....

Yeah you were right I shouldn't look at yours :)
Thnx for pointing that I might open my own topic if I got free time from reading :/

Thank you!! It makes me keep my motivation up, seeing my schedule detailed and each book has its own time. I try to finish each book in its own time therefore I manage to create time whenever I can.
The sense of accomplishment is amazing :)

I bet. I love the feeling of checking things off of a list :-)

Here's my title.... *drum roll*
Death in the Vitamin Aisle!
Very, very, very scary, right? >_<

At least it's not as bland as The Stranger on the Steamboat :-/

Ha! Christine is what I thought of when I read your title, too :-)

Plot
Randy works at a cemetery and is surrounded by dead people if you ask him how he got there he will probably give you a different answer every time since he hates his job until he sees a stranger standing on a race and when he goes to investigate and he then finds a spirit who kills randy and uses his body as his own and it turns out the stranger was really bored in the cemetery and goes on a night out in the city destroying property getting into fights and once he was done he went back to the cemetery and left randy body to sleep while Randy is arrested for a list of charges
I’m just really bored so there hahaha

I think I win.
That’s scary."
I first read that as 'The Window Under the Stairs.' Then I read it properly and now I can't shake the image of my mother-in-law lying in wait in my utility cupboard... *flinches*

I read it that way too and I didn't know I had read it wrong until you said this haha. Widow is definitely creepier.

I got The Woman at the Car Wash
The hubby got The Stalker in the Panic Room. That is the most ominous. You're supposed to be safe in the panic room!
Our daughters got...
The Woman in the Broom Closet
The Liar at the Car Dealership (so true to life!)
Death at the DMV
Death in Room No. 8

Death at the DMV happens from boredom every time you have to go.

Agreed. Yours is especially creepy ;)

I ended up getting "The Body Under the Stairs". It could work even if it is a little cliche!
The wife: "The Stalker on the Midnight Train"
My oldest: "Evil on Flight 42"
My youngest: "The Woman in the All-Night Diner"
My dog: "The Widow in the Broom Closet"

Which reminds me I should probably add poe to the list as well

Edgar Allen Poe is great! The Tell-Tale Heart, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Masque of the Red Death, The Raven, Annabel Lee...lots of great stuff.
Except for The Pit and the Pendulum. It is terrible on every level. Don't get me started on that one.

I heard a lot about poe and the only reason I know about tell tale was because of a simpsons episode of it but the others sound really interesting hopefully I can get to some horror novels
I'm not really sure what to expect from horror books like I'm not really into horror films sure I get scared with them especially with the cheap jump scares but there is something about them that doesn't appeal to me even the recent Quiet place doesn't intrigue me so I'm interested to see how you would feel scared when reading horror because I can't really imagine it happening but then again I might be wrong

The body Under the Stairs reminds me of something that happened once. I used to work in a department store years ago, and the employees used a stairwell that was behind a door and rather dimly lit to go upstairs instead of the public escalator. One day as I was about to go up the stairs I saw what looked like a body lying under the stairs. It really freaked me out for a second, until I realized it was just a mannequin.

I've never been a fan of the typical horror film but give me stuff like "Seven", "Silence of the Lambs", even "The Juror". Those are the kind of scary movies that I like.

Ya that would make me jump as well.

Edit:
Well me being careless as always didn't read the topic with my full focus and didn't even click the link so I thought that we are improvising our horror titles, yeah.
Mine should be "Murder in the elevator". It sucks, lol.
Thnx Beste for pointing it out.

Dogumgunun ne zaman?"
13/10/1990 why did you ask?
I missed that too... Mine is:
The Widow in the Swamp
I wanted to say this reminded me of the fishwife thing, but that means something different than I intended... I'm thinking of a possible Lovecraft story involving dead wives hidden in water... there's always that USA channel movie...
Cabin by the Lake
