That's spectacular. I'd love a poster of that cover art, for sure.

Marie Chalupová (levitara) | 784 comments I am not a fast reader and for past few years I have been a one eye book and one audiobook kind of reader. So I start books for the sake of the competition, ehm, but mostly concentrate on just two at one time... But this way I am always late for all discussions and constantly behind on everything so I will slowly start to switch to reading multiple books at one time. It's what I used to do my whole life before switching and it has been working for me fine back then. It's good to switch to other book when the current one is just not cutting it atm. I was just kinda forcing one book at a time because with multiple I feel bit taken out of the story every time I come back. So I need to carefully juggle all the books so none gets forgotten for too long... But maybe I will read more that way... I just kind of hope it will work for me again.

Anyways, I am curious what do you guys prefer. Focusing on one (or eye and one audio read) or read multiple at the same time. And did you switch from one to the other at some point?

Paula (paula7) | 2030 comments When I was young and didn't know about goodreads/booktube I binge read every series I started and I only focused on one. Now I read multiple books and I even listen to some (mostly romance, I don't have the brainpower to listen to epic fantasy)

I binged series by series pre-Goodreads, as well... now I read a million series, but I generally finish each book I start before moving to the next...

Sometimes I purposely decide to read Parts / sub-books and pause, or single short stories in anthologies each day or 3...

And very rarely, if I'm not feeling a book, I'll pause it until I'm ready to continue and read a bunch of other books beginning to end, before returning... I'm still 99% single focus...

But, to each their own... reading many books works for some people...

I think, the more you read, the worse an idea it is to be reading a million books, because it becomes easier to jumble them or forget things... but if you're only reading a few hours a day/week/month, there's less to mix up...

Also, variance in eyeread/earlisten reterntion over time...

message 6559: by Narilka (new)

Narilka | 5779 comments I do one eye read and one audio read, so two going at a time but different mediums. I find if I try more than one of either I'll naturally gravitate to one story and finish it before going back to the other in that medium.

I know! I went online at midnight to get a signed copy preorder but I got distracted by a kdrama I was watching and signed on 2 minutes too late and it was already sold out :-( My friend got it though. I'm so jealous of her.

And Lee Know turns 27 in 4 days which means he'll prob be going into the army in the next day or two and I'm now extra mad that I found them 1 month too late to go to their US tour cuz now I'm going to have to wait years to get them all together as they all go into/exit out of the army.

I am so jealous! That stings, you almost got one! There is still next time. I cant get signed copies :'( But i will buy an album. The problem is i dont know which to choose so i will wait to preorder and see if they show us a little more about them. Do you know what is a DIY photobook? Like the members making a collage of photos or something? Which one are you buying?

I though they would wait until Lee Know is 28 which is the cuttoff and maybe go either all at once or in batches and the aussies are left holding the fort. Yeah, i was mad about missing the tour too, but in my case beacause of lack of money and being in the last row not sounding too appealing. But if they have another year maybe a mini tour? A few key cities. Or if they release another single like Lose my breath and promote in the US

Anyway, have you seen clips of their encore? A drone show? New coreos? Hearing Bleep? I still need to watch more but it sounds so good

My friend told me 27 was the cut off but 28 makes more sense since I haven’t heard ANYTHING about it yet. Yay! Another chance to go to a concert!

I haven’t placed my preorder. Target allegedly is doing preorders as well, and at a cheaper price, and no shipping charge, so I’m just going to preorder whatever they are selling.

I’ve seen a lot of clips but I still want to see the whole show, which is on YouTube. My favorite clip is Han almost burning down the stage 🤣

But my favorite YouTube video right now is the Lee Know/Han 2Kids Room episode which is the most relationship coded thing I’ve ever seen. I wish I could post screenshot. You need to go watch it if you haven’t.

message 6564: by Paula (new)

Paula (paula7) | 2030 comments No shipping and cheaper price is great! I even have to pax a tax for importing it and the transport fee.

Yeah, you can see any of their concerts on YouTube, the downside is the less than stellar quality image. I loved that clip! I want to see if there is one when Han sees the burning. I also liked the clip with Lee know running like crazy and the poor bodyguard trying to follow him but falling. They earned their wages there haha

I still haven't watched a lot of their content since karma released. I am saving it when I am down and today is one so I will watch their 2kr for sure. And also rewatch their intro for karma. Bangchan talked about two of the songs from DO IT and I want to have more clues.

Haven’t seen that intro for karma but now I’m going to go find it.

And yeah, from the clips I’ve seen of the concert the fan videos are better than the official one. They must sustain me until I can get to the next concert.

Paula (paula7) | 2030 comments I always enjoy the intros since they talk about their music making process and insights.

I didn't know they are official concert videos. I usually watch fan videos and search the best sounding/seeing one

I fell down a rabbithole yesterday, into clips of the Elton John biopic, and the friendship that developed between the actor and singer... Taron Egerton, from the Kingsman movies...

They've done alot of live duets, during Elton John's most recent tour, and for charity... I guess Taron is a trained singer turned actor... classic theater kid, I guess...
