Kelley,
I've read this series many times before and didn't want to pass up another chance to read it again! Lol...I love it!

The dress she wore was a vivid shade of brown . . . ew lol.
Sorry, had to go there!
Finished my 3rd
using the word "lilac" as a color word for purple/violet. This is an adult book. Updated post #12.
I finally got #1 under my belt! It sure has been a slow start for me and not because I didn't love the book.
- Red
Question, I read
and
. I want to be fair, so before I figure out what books I'm using for the challenge, I wanted to know if they would be non-YA.
The main character is in college, which would be NA. But everything else about the plot and the content screams YA. (I would shelve as YA, lol.) I'm pretty sure NA counts as 'non-YA' selections, so I wanted the judge on this one, Grem. :)

BWAAHAHAHA! Clearly not a foolproof statement :P
We'll just use a different adjective to make that better. Luscious shade of brown? Deep shade of brown? Points for creativity! :D

GREAT JOB, Barb! Congratulations on completion! (And yes, I really enjoyed "Also Known As" - a great popcorn read).
I decided to read that one too since I wasn't enjoying my original green pick. I completely agree with that description. It was cute and went pretty quickly. So #5 is

I must say, a fabulous ending to a fabulous series!!!
Also, I'm doing all 7 colors and my red and yellow were adult reads (just to help you in keeping track). :)
Finished bonus -
- pink! This was really good. It reminds me a lot of the Gallagher Girls series, but more dramatic.

3 down, update #18Yellow:
8/5 <-- was okay. Green:
7/5 <-- these books just make me happy for some reason.Blue:
Adult 8/2 <-- I cannot wait for the next one. Argh!
I am having a hard time deciding if this counts as yellow or if it is brown. What is your verdict?
It is like a golden color to me so I am hoping I can use it as yellow.
I have a hardcover copy, to me I would say its a goldish tan. Close enough for government work for yellow imo. But up to Grem.
After looking at color images I would say it is definitely a tint of yellow ocher so I will use it unless otherwise disputed by Grem.http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showt...

That's the regular rainbow, so now I can start on the extra credit assignment!
Hi there, everyone! Just getting back to the system after some time off. I'll be catching up on everyone's reads shortly! Thanks for your patience in the meantime, and great reading everyone!!!
Yay Linda cangrats on #1 - I thought I was dragging my feet on this challenge and behind everyone. Nice to see I am not alone. Keep picking away at your rainbow.

Man! I've attempted to do my homework on this one and am coming up with bubkis! These books aren't listed at the Chicago Public Library system (and I normally use their shelving as my method for determining these things). Plus, I can't seem to get a listing at other general sources that I use.
So I think I'll have to fall back on my most base understanding of YA vs NA. New Adult technically falls into the "adult" realm, where as Young Adult would be found in the world of juvenile fiction.
You can still use them! But they definitely would fall into the non-YA category.
I've finished two more books:
for Blue and
for Purple (non-YA). And updated post #6.Small question, would either
or
work for Yellow? I have another safe option just in case, but I'd rather read one of these.
