Thanks Gremlin :). Ah, never mind about Blue Lily, Lily Blue. Good series to read if anyone else fancies using that one.
Ok, so all I've got so far:
Red:
Orange:
Yellow:
Green:
Blue:
Purple:
Bonus - Black: The Raven King (Now read)
Hmm, need to have a look through my 'to read' list to fill in all the blanks in my challenge!
Jennifer wrote: "Does the word emerald work for green?"It definitely does! You can even see that it's used as an example in the challenge rules :)
I'm in! Will add titles as I think of them :) Trying to also complete some series I have been hanging on.Red -
Read 7/22Orange -
Yellow -

I'm reading
for Yellow book but looking at it more and more it might actually be more like brown. Do you think I need to make it brown (bonus) and pick a different book for yellow?
Amy wrote: "I'm reading

Gremlin wrote: "Amy wrote: "I'm reading

Will consider this a bonus book (Had to read it to get to the other books in the series that will be good for this challenge anyway) and will read
for yellow.

would work right?
See, that seems to me where things could get really loose in the rules. If blood was acceptable as a form of red, then why couldn't someone use "sea" or "ocean" for blue? Not really the focal point of the challenge.
Gremlin wrote: "Kdbrand wrote: "Gremlin, is there enough green on this cover for me to use it?
"I'd count it. Definitely the predominant color and seems to be more than 50%. :)"
Thanks Gremlin! I've finished #1
Updated post #7
Casey wrote: "I feel like the word "blood" would work right?"I think I'm with Hillary on this one. I see "Blood" like I see the word "Brick." When coupled with the word 'Red' it describes a shade of red, but I don't see it used by itself as a color. Does that make sense?
Think about using a sentence like this when choosing colors words.
"The dress she wore was a vivid shade of _____"
If you put the word "crimson" or "emerald" in there, the sentence works. It doesn't work so well when you put the words "Blood" or "Brick."
Kelley #36I've finished 2 books and updated my original post accordingly:
Red:
(non-YA) -
finished July 7, 2016
Yellow:
(non-YA) -
finished July 3, 2016
Finished my first for purple
I started it to finish my chain for the last challenge but didn't get very far before the end of the month but realized it would work for this one and restarted it in July.
Updated #14

Gremlin,It looks like you're mistaking me for Kelly #22, but I'm KellEy #36. I've completed red and yellow. And I actually need added to your list in message 2. Thanks!
Kelley
P.S.: Kelly #22 has read 2 books also--yellow and blue.
Kelley wrote: "It looks like you're mistaking me for Kelly #22, but I'm KellEy #36. I've completed red and yellow. And I actually need added to your list in message 2. Thanks!"Great catch, Kelley! And my apologies (I must do this once at least every challenge :P).
Also, thanks for letting me know about Kelly#22's completed books! I won't know about them unless the person posts directly to the list about it (which it doesn't look like she did?).
So as a reminder to you all you challenge cats - please post when you finish so I can update your listing! I don't get notified if you change your original listing.
Thanks Kelley! I think I got distracted by something shiny and forgot to make an update post for my completed books. I'll remember next time ;)Actually, while I'm here, I've finished my red book as well,
(post #22 updated too)

You're welcome. As a fellow Kelly, you kinda stand out to me. ;)
#51So I have a question. I started and finished
in July. I was wondering if I could use that as a bonus color (white). If not, it's all cool.
Gremlin wrote: "Casey wrote: "I feel like the word "blood" would work right?"I think I'm with Hillary on this one. I see "Blood" like I see the word "Brick." When coupled with the word 'Red' it describes a shade..."
True. Especially when it put it in sentence form like that. I kinda see blood red as a color but if you get that specific every word could be a color.
Also, do you guys see this as 50% yellow?
And I see these as orange...but do you guys?
and
I apologize but any time I'm not using a book with the word in it I'm going to need help. I see color differently then most other people, always have. I'm not color blind but it just seems like the hues are different to me. I'm always being told i'm wrong about color.
Casey wrote: "Also, do you guys see this as 50% yellow?"This is a tricky one, Casey! To me,
seems right on the edge, but closer to the not enough side (like 48% or something). What do other folks think? The other two titles that you list don't look orange. One looks red and one looks green and ... kind of brown?
Maybe take a look at some books on this list for orange ideas: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
Admittedly, it's not a perfect list - but still has a lot of good ideas. We're happy to help validate any questions, though!
Kelley wrote: "Do you think this is a possibility for orange (i.e., enough orange to count as orange)?
"Oh man. This is a hard one. I feel like it's more black than orange. Anyone else want to weigh in?
Gremlin wrote: "Kelley wrote: "Do you think this is a possibility for orange (i.e., enough orange to count as orange)?

That is to my eye, even if you condensed it only about a third orange. The remainder is gold(the lettering other than the W) and black.

Gremlin wrote: "Casey wrote: "Also, do you guys see this as 50% yellow?"This is a tricky one, Casey! To me,
