Yay for civilization (lol it probably doesn't seem it right now, but I actually don't mind being away from the internet awhile! It's amazingly quiet...). No biggie; hope you had fun and enjoyed the week 2 book!

Rolling a bit early this week again (just in case I forget for some reason tomorrow): I rolled a 1 (humourous romance)

Close to You by Kara Isaac I thought this book was hysterical, especially if you are any kind of fan of The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings movies
When a Scot Ties the Knot (Castles Ever After, #3) by Tessa Dare recently finished this

On your TBR but worth reading in this category
The Stocking was Hung (The Holidays, #1) by Tara Sivec

message 137: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Hi Rachel C.
Finished Week 3 book (cowboy) with How to Handle a Cowboy. I liked it *** 1/2 stars. I don't read many westerns but this had a solid plotline. The "sheriff" was super annoying and a moron but the story was sweet and I liked the horse whisperer aspect.

message 138: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Rolled a 2 this week so Artist/Dancer/Musician

message 139: by Pam (last edited Jul 29, 2016 10:42AM) (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Just realized never posted a review for Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard, #1) by Christina Lauren . For me a ** 1/2 just because sometimes it read with primary emphasis on the sex scenes and not the story line. Plus it would piss me off to have someone continuously ruin La Perla lingerie. Do you know how expensive that stuff is? (That's is my New England thriftiness emerging). But it wasn't hard to read.

message 140: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Rachel C. For your geek/nerds/opposite reading

Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik
When Beauty Tamed the Beast (Fairy Tales, #2) by Eloisa James
My Bluegrass Baby (Bluegrass, #1) by Molly Harper

and from your TBR which seems to be popular in this category Wicked Games (Games, #1) by Jessica Clare

I've read and enjoyed the middle two. Molly Harper is one of my go-to authors for listening in the car.

message 141: by Amina (last edited Jul 29, 2016 02:14PM) (new)

Amina Hi Sandra

Screwed (Screwed, #1) by Kendall Ryan

The Rarest Rose by H.A. Robinson

I am currently reading the last book and it has made me giggle so far. Hope you enjoy the recommendations.

That sheriff was amazingly annoying... I'm glad you liked it anyways :)

Rachel C. (rachelus) | 611 comments Pam wrote: "Rolled a 2 this week so Artist/Dancer/Musician"

Here are some options for you:

Bad Things (Tristan & Danika, #1) by R.K. Lilley ... male MC is a musician; good read

Breathe (In Vino Veritas, #2) by Lauren Jameson ... female MC is a glass artist; remember liking this one; I read it without reading the first one...

Drawing Lessons by Julia Gabriel ... male MC is an artist; found this one entertaining, but it's even more sex-focused than Beautiful Bastard if that's something you want to avoid

I read way too much paranormal romance... I've been having a hard time finding things to fit these categories, but it just adds to the challenge XD

I just checked out their website. The cheapest pair of panties I saw was $114. And it does seem that the less fabric or more transparent, the more expensive. Going off to finish my week 4 book so my husband doesn't get ideas-ha ha ha.

Wow... I didn't know any underwear cost that much. I can't wear the same pairs of underwear. for more than a couple months.... how does one afford to replace their underwear at that price?! LOL. Happy reading on the week 4 book... I'm really behind on reading at the moment because I defend my thesis on Monday, but should be able to read the last three books pretty quickly once my defense is finally done and over!

message 149: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 712 comments Don't worry about being late Amina, I was in work last night and just getting in! Anyway I'm going to read Wallbanger (Cocktail, #1) by Alice Clayton this week. Though all your rec's look great!
