Please edit or correct or delete this quote. (part 5)

I think this quote needs to either be deleted or edited:

It's attributed to Jane Austen, but it's actually from the 2005 Pride and Prejudice movie, not from the book. Is a quote from a movie acceptable according to Goodreads guidelines? Even if it is, it should be attributed to the Deborah Moggach, who wrote the screenplay, right?
Thanks in advance!"

What about the other two quotes attributed to you? Do they need removing as well?

Hi! I want all quotes removed except the first one. I added them by mistake and I don't want them anymore.

Thank you for removing them. But when I go to my book's page, the quotes are still there. Are they going to be removed too?

Gone now. Author pages are heavily cached, so things are slow to happen there.

Please can we then change the word - where to when (I thank God for removing the toxic people from my life, in the times when I could not find the strength to remove them myself.) , as it contains a grammar error.

Hi Tom
The copyright page of this book states that it was written by Joan Powers, not by A.A. Milne. The cover states that A.A. Milne provided the inspiration. The correct author attribution is, therefore, Joan Powers.
You can check it out for yourself using the "Look Inside" feature on its Amazon page, and also on its Worldcat page.

Should that stay or be deleted?

The reason that I ask for it to be deleted is because it is attributed to Sartre, but he is not the one that wrote this. It appears in the intro of one of his novels, which some other guy wrote, and I cannot find anywhere where Sartre said this. Other people who have quoted this passage correctly specifically refer to the intro in a specific printing of the novel, thus directly referring to the input of another man, Hayden Carruth. Thus, considering that this quote does not appear anywhere in the novel, it should not even be associated to the novel, as it only appears in a specific printing of the novel as an introduction, which was written by Hayden Carruth.

After posting I found there were several versions of this novel and it shouldn't have been attached to this particular one.
Thanks!

Should read:
"You have me. Until the last star in the galaxy dies. You have me."

Or you could delete it and I'd repost - whatever's easier.
Thanks.

You should be able to do this as none of these quotes have any likes. Just click on"0 likes" under the quote & that will take you to a page that has a link on the right that says edit quotes.

I combined the wayward editions of Ethan Frome, including the one your quote linked to, with the main edition. Your quote is now linked to the main listing.
