I have a very bad habit of staying up late, usually between 11 and midnight, which wouldn't be so bad if i didn't get up before 4:30. I feel it come the latter part of the week, but if I try and go to bed earlier I just wake up at 3 in the morning and can't fall back to sleep. I'm sure my age will catchup soon and I'll be wanting an extra hour or two each night.

Yeah, I usually sleep about 3a-11a or so. It's a sort of delayed sleep phase disorder. I think I would do better on 28 hours days. :/ And right now I've been up for 36 hours! 44 hours is about my limit--or at least was in my youth. I don't want to be up all this time, but it's like I have to 'reset' or it'll just keep creeping later and later, ya know?

message 856: by Kat (new)

Kat | 1198 comments Well, I was having a look around the threads, and there is a Survive Your Own Apocalypse challenge going on, with some storm-related things mentioned...

I have no idea really; I've been following this chat the whole way, and can't remember anything related to either animals or storms so... *shrugs* I'll be excited either way, whatever the theme turns out to be.

Very good Jessie!!! Correct. Actually the clue I was thinking of was when I asked what animals people do not like. Little bit of info gathering there for me. :)

Linda C (libladynylindac) | 913 comments First timer here! I have set up a shelf for Wobble. What will be on that shelf? A list of everything we read for the game, things we plan to read?

Karsyn (imzadi) Linda C wrote: "First timer here! I have set up a shelf for Wobble. What will be on that shelf? A list of everything we read for the game, things we plan to read?"

Welcome Linda!

Everyone does the shelf differently (some use it as a TBR) but for the most part it's easiest if you use it as your "read" shelf for Wobble. So, when you mark something as read, just stick it on your Wobble shelf as well. The shelf is used to keep track of what everyone reads during Wobble. While TBR books could be put there, I know as a captain, I have preferred it if only Read books are put there, as it's easier to keep track.

I hope you love Wobble!

message 861: by Tati (new)

Tati | 1350 comments Oh, as a first-timer as well, it's good to know about the shelf!

message 862: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Glad I could clarify. As I said, people do it different ways and if your captain has a preference I'm sure they will say. I usually tell my teams just to put their Read books on there, but if someone uses it as a TBR as well, it doesn't bug me.

message 863: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Attention Please

As 1st round sign-ups come to a close (May 31st, 11:59p Pacific time), please let us know if you have any last minute changes to your signup!

Specifically, let us know if you'd like to request anyone to play with and/or you'd like to change your preference for a chatty team (yes or no or doesn't matter).

Yes teams tend to be together, No teams tend to be together and Doesn't Matter is mixed through it all, so if you'd rather have a more chatty team but said "doesn't matter" you may want to change to "yes". If you'd rather have a more quiet team but said "doesn't matter" you may want to change to "no".

Please don't worry about changes to your bookshelf, that is something your captain can do if you want to change that. Just let us know (here is fine, or message myself or the mod account) if you prefer to change your team chattiness preference and/or want to request someone to be on the same team with.

Thank you!

thank you

No, please don't fill out a new form, just message me or the mods, or just say here as you have. :)

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 4205 comments Seriously.....is there really such a things as "bad" chocolate?

I haven't found it and i've been a Professional Chocoholic and earned a Masters in Cocoa since at 16. I was an early melter and entered the Gifted and Talented Chocoholics Association at 10.

As a wee tot, I had dreams of splashing in the Chocolate River I once spied on the telly.

Many of us agree (not all, but some) that the whole chocolate covered cherry thing is irritating (see 'add stuff to it' above) but we teach the next generation to just bite the flat part off the bottom, dump the cherry out to share with a friend, and ♬ enjoy the chocolate-y goodness!

That's about it. :D

Oh..Becky ♡The Bookworm♡....you were a late bloomer!!! I started in the cradle!!! lol. I was drinking chocolate and eating chocolate since I were a wee tot!! :)

No!!! Absolutely not!! There is NO such thing as "bad" chocolate :)

I do have to disagree though...I love chocolate covered cherries and strawberrries :) my mum says it ruins the strawberry...so we can see where her loyalty lies!!! lol..but given a choice...I wouod choose the unadulterated chocolate hands down :)

Oh good, then I'll be in the cute baby animals section!!!! There is nothing like be surrounded by cute baby animals.

message 886: by Tati (new)

Tati | 1350 comments I have to disagree. There is such a thing as bad chocolate. Here in Brazil, at least, we have a type of chocolate that has a lot of soy fat added to it, and it tastes nothing like chocolate (even though it's sold as chocolate)

No cute babies, sorry. :)

Each mod has a classification of a type of animal. 6 mods. Anyone wanna guess the classifications we have going on? (I already gave you Extinct!) :D

Mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, insects?

message 889: by Alex (new)

Alex | 1018 comments I'm with maria helena, I was thinking of the five vertebrate groups to start off with but I couldn't see one of the mods getting stuck with amphibians.

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments Extinct, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Not sure but that's my guess.

message 891: by RachelvlehcaR (new)

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments That is of course not putting in invertebrates.

message 892: by RachelvlehcaR (new)

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments If we add invertebrates, you have annelids, mollusks, arthropods, arachnids, echinoderms and protozoa. That would be a total stretch!

please, please, please not insects

Are we going to be extinct animals?

There are many dinosaurs to choose from

I was thinking that amphibians would be worse than insects.

There are some cute/cool insects. I wouldn't mind being team butterflies, ladybugs, or dragonflies.

message 898: by Alex (new)

Alex | 1018 comments With insects at least we can have different types of butterfly...?

message 899: by Karsyn (last edited May 30, 2016 03:25PM) (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) LOL!

No insects. (Almost was one, decided against it.) Think in BROADER terms. There's some that are sorta right, but not exact. The actual correct ones so far are ~

1 - Extinct (your freebie)
2 - Air
3 - Mythological
4 - Sea
5 - Land
6 - Endangered

And I love butterflies (it's my nickname from my Hubby) but no butterflies.

message 900: by Karsyn (last edited May 30, 2016 12:59PM) (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) PS ~ no requests please. That's why I asked about dislikes in the read-a-thon. :) Teams are 99.8% set, so I'd really not rather move things around.

Thanks for understanding!
