Yay"
Hi Jamie! if I knew you were here, I'd have requested to be on your team!!!

I'm pretty relaxed, too, because reading-distractions have taken over my life and I'm hoping to get them out of my system by the time this team challenge starts. ;-)

For 18 weeks!?!?

Wow I haven't watched this in ages!!! I know what I'll be catching up on before the challenge :D

Hi Teresa! Maybe we'll get lucky :-)

And wow! 14-15 members? The chat threads are going to be huge!
It is already the weekend and Wednesday will be here before you know it!!!!

That and for me is also the NBA finals. I love Steph Curry and they are only on game 1! So hopefully they'll be done in four games with a GS sweep :D

Hope you stay dry and safe! I keep watching all the updates on the news (I grew up in Texas and all my family is still there) and it's just crazy how much water/flooding/rain there is! What area of TX are you in? I'm in CA now so no floods here!

Is this FAQ correct for WOBBLE Battleship?
Q#3. The one question that everyone will ask, can books be started ahead of time.
A#3. Yes. As some people read multiple books at once (some on different media), we will go by FINISHED on date.
So we can start books now and finish them on the 17th?

No, the Battleship for Wobble will have some similarities, but be different to last time, so please don't assume any of the rules apply.
The Wobble rules here state that only books STARTED after the challenge start (June 17) can count for the challenge. We changed this rule a few team challenges ago because we had members feedback that they prefered it this way so that books can't be hoarded.

Hehe. I love Grey's Anatomy! Unfortunately, I am all caught up but have some reading to finish up before WOBBLE starts. I should be done by the end of the 12th or 13th though. I suppose I have a challenge or two I can cross some books off of between then and the 17th. I can't wait to start. Even just to find out the teams :)

If you signed up before the deadline/it closed, you're in the process of being assigned to a team now. On Wednesday, the teams will be announced, and I believe we'll be given a link to a spreadsheet and we'll just need to search the spreadsheet for our name/user-ID to find out what team we're on.

I'm in Central Texas (about half way between Austin and Dallas). It is actually pretty serious. We had a heartbreaking incident happen about 5 miles from our house yesterday :(

Not yet. On Wednesday.

No... Not yet
Teams will be announced Wednesday. With over 300 participants we will NOT be able to inidvidually message you with your team name. Not only would it take 5 years, but Goodreads won't allow us to anyway!
We will post here with a link to the team assignments spreadsheet where you can find your team name on Wednesday.
You can also sign up to follow our blog or Facebook Page where we will post any team challenge announcements

You have been signed up and signed up prior to closing of signups.
Check this thread on Wed for the way to find out what team your on.

Reminds me of the yeti on Monsters, Inc. Those arms/claws are pretty fantastic. I can definitely see where it got it's name.

I'm sorry, I'll try to calm down. That is just so funny to me
The Axolotl is just too cute <3
Shanna_redwind wrote: "Yeah, the Axolotl looks like a Pokemon to me."
I'm pretty sure there is a pokemon modelled after it, Whooper

And, the little salamander at the end is pretty cute.

I think the glass frog is pretty awesome, too.

Someone on GR in one of my groups said they had a pet Axolotl! I remember looking it up as I'd never heard of it before, and thought it was so cute! Now i cant member who it was!
