I was starting Extremely loud and incredibly close and i'm still reading it and loving it. It's a 735 pages long book and i'm already at the middle ! Hope to read a lot more though i have parties planned and i have to prepare for a trip overseas next monday ^^
Day 3 update:- How many pages have you read?
Since last update I've read 78 pages in The Orphan Master's Son and 66 pages in Burial Rites.
In total I'm at 244 pages... Not impressive, but I just haven't had time for more. And I'm finding The Orphan's Master's Son difficult to read, so it's probably taking me a bit longer than normal.

Not a very good reading day for me. I only had a chance to read 40 pages of Goodnight Tweetheart. I'd been hoping to finish the book today, since I'm really loving it, but it's been a rough and exhausting day.

Finished another middle grade read for the Book Riot challenge. It was so disappointing. I've been reading more short books for this read-a-thon and that has made me feel more motivated, I think, because it feels like progress comes so quickly. I'm off to bed - this concludes my reading day.How many pages have you read?

This! If you read only 1 page today, it's 1 page more than 0. Also, I choose to race only against myself, makes it so much sweeter to see my personal victories.
There will always be someone, who has more time available, but then again there's also another with less available, so which of the two should I pick? The one that makes me feel inferior? Or the one that makes me feel superior? I don't like either option quite honestly, but it's nice to count my own page number and compare it to slower days. And once this challenge is over, I sure won't read this much, but I refuse then to compare to a specific objective when I've up-prioritised reading over other activities. Perspective matters.
Yes! And everyone who is playing and reading along this week seized the opportunity to make reading their priority this week which is already something to celebrate. You made the commitment. You dedicated yourself to it! And if that means you read 5 more minutes this week than you normally do, you have achieved something! Go you!
Friday wrap-upYesterday, I shamefully fell asleep on my couch at 94% of The Husband's Secret. I woke up at 5 am, when to bed and finished the book. That's the spirit of the read-a-thon! ;)

I always say I'm going to bed but then I never actually go to bed. Maybe I should just stop saying that. The good news is I got more pages in. The bad news is I pulled an all-nighter and now have to go do home improvey things.At least I'm on pace to be caught up on my GoodReads challenge. I was 8 books behind at the start of the read-a-thon for my goal of 120. Now I'm only 4.
