Can I have a hug please?
HAPPY FRIDAY HUGS TO ALL!!!!!(It's 2:30 AM here on the U.S. east coast)
Jane, You are very generous and thoughtful. Thank you again. <3

OK. You are forgiven. ;-)
Hope you're recovered now.
xx
I'm so sorry; I've missed out a few big hugs.In my defence, I was on holiday. I'm all relaxed and recharged now. So...
(((((((SUPER HUGS)))))))
Cyber hugs are the bestest! <3
Sue, you put me in mind of this:
Hi T.L.I was better... then I lifted some cases of dog food. Now I can barely move and it hurts to breathe.
Thank you for that poster. I hope you enjoyed your holiday.
Huge Hugs, Sue
Darn Sue!!!! Will we have to chain you down for you to take it easy? or at least easier?Find someone to move them for you darn it! At the store should be easy, and if at home, well, open up the cases and take them a few at a time if you don't have a nice neighbor to do it for you. :(
Either way, you deserve a hug... or two... or three... So here's to you: (((((HUG)))))
I admit it, I'm an energetic person who needs to be tied down to rest. Hubby had lower back surgery 10 years ago and neck back surgery 1 year ago. I try to do things so he won't hurt himself and need surgery again. The temporary job he has is causing back pain.G.G. - You're right. When the heavy packages are delivered, I need to open them on the porch and bring in what I can comfortably carry. Thank you!
It's combo Monday/Tuesday for those who had yesterday off from work.
Hugs to All!!!
Uh oh! Right, everyone form a possie and bundle around Sue's. Anyone got rope?? ;-p Please please take care.
Have some extra ((healing hugs)) but you're just taking advantage now ;-P
(you know you get hugs when you're not injured too, right) ;)
My turn please!I returned to work after my magical holiday yesterday, and it's becoming more and more apparent what a dogsbody I am here. :-(
I need a hug please (and good luck wishes for my new prospects)
((((((BIG HUGE BEAR HUGS)))))) to you TL and good luck with whatever projects you are starting (or trying to complete of course).May I ask what a dogsbody is? I mean...if it's a newfoundland, you can pretty well serve yourself and no one will dare say a word. Now if it's the body of a weenie dog, you're so cute, everyone wants to pick you up. Sorry about the jokes, but seriously, I have no idea what a dogsbody is. Never heard the expression before.
pmsl, and oh dear! One day I'll remember not everybody else on here is British. It's such a common phrase here I didn't even think.Dogsbody ~ a person who is given menial tasks to do, especially a junior in an office.
But I quite like your idea of it. I'm probably more Saluki, but I quite fancy the idea of being a Pomeranian (get my own cute handbag and everybody wants to cuddle me!) ;)
Thanks for the hug G.G. - starting to feel better now.
(((HUGS)))
LOL!! G.G. - I wondered the same thing. I like your examples. HUGS!TL - I know I recently threw my back out, but that was nothing compared to the pain I'm in right now. Thank you for the hugs and for tying me down. I promise not to chew through the rope. : D
HUGE HUGS to you with what's going on at work. I'm so sorry. In the U.S. we call that a Pee-on... We're here for you if you need to check in again. Here's a box of hugs to go:
------------------------------
((((((((((HUGE HUGS))))))))))

TL, thanks for clarifying. I love learning new expressions so keep your British expressions going. ;) I prefer dogsbody over pee on, which I had never heard of before either. ;)As for you Sue, you know you can't lift boxes anymore so watch out giving out boxes of hugs. I told you. You have to give them one at a time! ;)
G.G. Whoops! You caught me. Okay, one at a time. And dogsbody is definitely better than dog doody (which stands for poop here).
Hugs to All!
Tee hee; I deem boxes of hugs safe. They're uber lightweight :) So, on this thread alone we have learned the British phrases:
Toothypegs (can be teethypegs)
Dogsbody
I tend to write phrases into my books too.
One person told me "did you meant drink tea?" as I'd written, "they ate their tea". Tea in this case being their evening meal. We're complex creatures. :)
Right; back to my grindstone. Still praying for good news tomorrow. <3
Be safe, aaannd...
((((HUGS))))
Good dogsbody! Take the scrummy looking food into the VIPs (even though you know they won't share their scraps with you). Offer to make them posh coffee, but delay your own lunch (even though the sight of the yummy food has made you faint with hunger), as we're not ready for coffee yet!!! ;-( Sorry - venting!
Feeling hangry! :-(
Awwwwwe, Thanks TL! I wanna hug the letter F.HAPPY FRIDAY HUGS TO ALL!!!!!
And more to hold you over for the weekend!
I'll be here, but some of you may not.
Comment removed. Remember, if you want to post a blog link, please do so in the blog folder. Thanks.
Hmm Dean, you still deserve a truck load of hugs. (((((TRUCK LOAD OF HUGS)))))May I ask what was wrong with your throat? Tonsillectomy? From the look of it, it does look painful. I hope you get better soon!

Sue, you put me in..."
love this!!
and such a great thread, massive, massive hugs to all! :) ♥
TL - If I remember the schedule correctly, you do Monday hugs, so you're not late, you're right on time. : )Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Hugs to All, Sue
Indeed; extra (((hugs))) on Mondays; they can be challenging days. And boy, was mine challenging yesterday! I still feel a bit bruised from it.
Hey ho, big breaths, big girl pants on, and soldier on.
xx
Aww. Thanks Annie xxYou know that heart's desire in every author "I wish I could write full time and quit my soul sucking day job"? Yeah, that voice is just getting a bit louder at the moment. But I'll be fine. I'll shut her up with chocoloate (and maybe some wine) ;-)
hey; I just realised I've been moved to the 'fun' folder (from author help). Isn't that nice? I'm fun; it's official! :-O
xx
TL wrote: "Aww. Thanks Annie xxYou know that heart's desire in every author "I wish I could write full time and quit my soul sucking day job"? Yeah, that voice is just getting a bit louder at the moment. But..."
We all had that still small voice.
You have to think whether or not you could actually live if you listen to it. I couldn't so I waited.
Now I can write to my heart's content. And go to the shop in my slippers. And spend my pension on brandy. And much stuff I couldn't do when I had to be responsible.
Bliss
Oh Jane that sounds wonderful! I long for the day I can do that! <3 And I could live without the job, just not in a nice warm dry house. I'd have to exchange it for a cardboard box on the street! ;-p
TL - You stated that perfectly, "Soul Sucking Day Job." I lost my job... wait, what am I saying? My job was stolen from me New Years Eve. So I'm unemployed, but I know exactly what you mean. Sorry TL. Hugs.Hugs to everyone.
Oh Sue; yucky! I'm so sorry. I know your pain.I have been made redundant something like 6 times (I lost count really). But each time it opens the door to something better.
I just don't like working in an office. You feel enslaved to your desk and alarm clock. And as an admin I'm usually pretty low down on the ladder, and get trampled on. I try so hard to support others and take a pride in my work. I'm a nice person! But still I get brushed aside :-(
Gargh! Enough self pity.
Sue - extra (((HUGS))) to you.
I hope you find a better job soon.
xx
TL - Thank you. Extra (((Hugs))) to you, too. I am an Accounting Manager or Controller by education, but wished I went to trade school to learn carpentry. I'd be much better off today. Hope your day is going well.So it's Mid-Week Wednesday. ((((( Huge Hugs to All )))))
Haha yes, builders, plumbers and the like started dwindling in the UK with the end of the grammar school system; everyone was told to aim for office/management roles. So now it's supply and demand for the tradesmen and they can make a nice wad of cash. ;-)
It's never too late to learn! ;-)
xx
So cute, I could just eat them up.Not literally, of course (Labrador hair balls)
Besides, I've just got back from a week with my parents in England, so I'm full of bacon sandwiches. Now I have to go back to pretending to be a vegetarian.
Hugs to all.
Yeah, we have the bestest bacon here; it succeeds in bringing most veggies back from the green side! :-O I hope you had a pleasant stay.
Meat free (HUGS) to you, Matt
xx
Oh, TL, you know just how to get to me. : )Hahaha, Matt. Glad you had a nice trip.
Friday's my day... so:
(((((EXTRA HUGE HUGS FOR EVERYONE)))))
I've tried many times but cannot manage to attach pictures. : (
TL wrote: "Yeah, we have the bestest bacon here; it succeeds in bringing most veggies back from the green side!It sure does, but I must admit that I never put up any great resistance to it.
I'm sending my share of Monday hugs. May the force be with all of you to accomplish your goals and dreams today.((((((((HUGS)))))))

To the other Jane, I'm also not a hugger in real life, but I don't mind virtual hugs!
Sue from what I know from your posts you are a SUPER person, kind, thoughtful, caring and helpful!
(((((HUGS))))) to everyone who needs one today and to those who don't as well!
