What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book) - Part 2
I'm reading 6 books at the moment, includingKing Lear - William Shakespeare
and The Voluptuous Delights of Peanut Butter and Jam by Lauren Liebenberg
and today have finished this 5 star wonder, A Death in the Family by Karl Ove Knausgård
Starting Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE by Phil Knight. I work in a sneaker store so kinda nerding out over this one lol
I'm about halfway through The Fragments and really enjoying it - the mystery and the gentle humour. I keep forgetting it's Toni Jordan though, as the actual story is quite different for her.

I started Hope Never Dies by Andrew Shaffer last night. Described as the first Obama/Biden fan fiction for people disturbed by the current US administration, I am 8 chapters in and its hilarious.

In the last weeks I've read and very much enjoyed three great books:A Spark of Light
The Spotted Dog
and Unsheltered
none of which I can pass on to Mum to read, although she would have really enjoyed each one, because her memory is so poor she can no longer remember what she has read.
Very sad :(

Library, Dale?
I'm tossing up between Hush Hush by Mel Sherratt and Dracul by Dacre Stoker. Both are being published on the 18th, I just don't know which one to start first...
Here's a coin toss for you Kylie (unless you've chosen already!) Heads for the first, tails for the second........ heads it is ;)

I have a few books on the go as per usual:
Winter Signs by Aussie Author Sarah Gai - love this series
A Kiss to Remember by Teresa Medeiros - a lovely historical romance with Vicars daughter and disreputable rake
A Touch of Greek by Tina Folsom - lovely fantasy romance fluff :)
I've made a start on City of Crows for the Aussie Authors challenge. For some reason I'd expected it to be harder to read than it actually is - maybe I read one or two reviews that gave me that impression. Also, it's a good deal shorter than I thought, at just over 300 pages.
Marianne wrote: "Dale wrote: "Marianne wrote: "Andrea wrote: "I'm about halfway through The Fragments and really enjoying it - the mystery and the gentle humour. I'm still reading Dracul by Dacre Stoker
I've barely had time to pick up a book this week. Hopefully I'll finish it today.
Just on the last of a trilogy by the lovely author Juliet Marillier, currently living in Perth I believe. The last book in the Shadowfell trilogy is
which is a lot of fun, though I am not loving it quite as much as the last two - a bit too much recap, the curse of trilogies.
Not an Australian author, but: just about halfway through The People In The Trees by Hanya Yanagihara, and it's an engrossing story. I like the format it's written in, as well; the footnotes and semi-academic layout fit the story nicely and just add to the tone of the story.

Yesterday I read The Red Notebook by Antoine Laurain. I love his books.Last night I started Behind the Bell: Behind the Scenes of Saved by the Bell with the Guy Who Was There for Everything by Dustin Diamond. I am reading this for 'a book with bad reviews' challenge and it is truly awful. LOL
Yesterday I finished The Peacock Summer by Hannah Richell; my first non re-read book of this year. I'm giving it a 3 star rating mainly because it is a light read and easily digestible. No review as my brain is not quite up to that just yet.

I tried to read The Diary of a Booksellerbut it was so boring - it was literally a diary of every little thing that happened in his day. I was hoping it would get better but my principal spotted i was reading it and told me it doesn't. There are too many good books to read to get stuck reading a bad one so i returned it to the library!

Just starting Rosewater by Tade Thompson. Winner of the Inaugural Nommo Award - Africa's first award for speculative fiction.
The nice people at Scribe sent me Miss Kopp Just Won't Quit by Amy Stewart. It's #4 in the Kopp Sisters series, but I can see already that I'll be going back for #1-#3. Luckily, the library has them :)
Marianne wrote: "The nice people at Scribe sent me Miss Kopp Just Won't Quit by Amy Stewart. It's #4 in the Kopp Sisters series, but I can see already that I'll be going back for #1-#..."My sister recommended that series to me. I op shopped the first one and will be reading it soon.

Lost and Found Sisters by Jill Shalvis
Table For Eight by Tricia Stringer
Stacey, linking is better - your first one; christian name of your author was incorrect. And the spelling of the second author's christian name was also incorrect :) So if you can link, it makes it easier for interested members to check out your reads. Thanks.
