PattyMacDotComma | 3310 comments I did a #11 after all, a To Be Read which is RED!

5★ for Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West by Cormac McCarthy, one of the most gruesome stories with the most beautiful descriptions of the American southwest. Marauding scalphunters.

Only McCarthy can have you glorying in language one minute and turning away in horror the next. Who needs thrillers?

Now ask me if I've done any writing this week :D I tend to have a few on the go at once, so I'll finish several in a short space of time!

What's the protocol - I've been updating my original post as I go, do I copy & paste that into a new comment each time or just when I finish the challenge?

message 218: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 80186 comments Mod
LOL! You can wait until you finish if you like...but make sure you hit "edit" before you copy and paste otherwise the links won't work:)

It's done either way by different people, so it's really up to you:)

Congratulations, you Speed Reader Extraordinaire, Brenda! I'm able to speed read when I need to, but usually for information. For fun, I tend to be a slow reader. I expect you have a lot of people waiting for your reviews, though, so keep up the good work!

5★ for Heavenfield: A DCI Ryan Mystery by L.J. Ross.

I thoroughly enjoyed #3 in the DCI Ryan series. The Circle is a creepy bunch of satanists with members in all sorts of places, and they go around murdering people and now each other. Good fun in a nice setting with good people.
