Does anyone have any recommendations for paranormal romance with sort of a protective/bad boy character (optional) all recommendations are greatly appreciated

I would recommend Obsidian. The boy - Daemon - is a real bad boy or at least he's somehow mean and mysterious. And it has to do with aliens :)

I would recommend Immortal After Dark Series by Kresley Cole. It has all sorts of paranormal creatures and some great bad boys/ alpha males.

I second Obsidian. I love that series! The author, Jennifer L. Armentrout, also writes some other great series. White Hot Kiss, Wicked, Half-Blood, and the The Return are the first books in those series.
