I just finished my book and will write my post as soon as I get home from work. Most likely around 3

Qualification: 7th or 8th in the series, or have no people on the cover
Title: Dark Places by Gillian Flynn

Finished: 3.18.16
Rating : 4 stars
Review: This is the second book I have read by Gillian Flynn. The first being Gone Girl. I liked this book more than I did Gone Girl. However, like Gone Girl I felt like the story dragged on a little bit. I did like the basis for the story and I couldn't imagine how I would feel if my brother murdered my mother and older siblings. I could understand how a child could easily be influenced to lie, but I just couldn't imagine blaming your brother when he didn't do it. I was confused a lot of time because there was just things I couldn't fathom that I would handle in the same way, so I had to take moments to sit there and reflect. Overall I did like the book.

so options:
8th in series
5th in series
85th in series.

★★★★✩ (This is a review of the audiobook.) What can I say about the narration of the wonderful, award-wining Susan Erickson that hasn't already been said? Other than, if you haven't discovered the joys of audiobooks, you need to know that the narrator can make a book or break it. Should you want to get into them, look to any of SE's narrations.
As far as the story, it is a comment enough theme, but so well done by Ms. Heath, who doesn't fail to provide some nice twists along the way. Yes, twists. Plural. There are several. In addition, there is plenty of steam, and actually a time when I wondered if these two could get their HEA!
Fair warning: for me, it looses a star due to the terrible sadness inherent in said plot, and also some of the twists. These caused an ache in my heart that never quite left, despite the uplifting things that occurred, too. Sometimes I can just let these things drop, when it is part of a character's background and in the past, but incredible LH writes so well, she breaths life into the sorrow, making them so poignant.

Week 9
Spot: 85 ( or a title M book)
Title: Marked by an Assassin
Qualification: Has to be 8th, 5th or have a title that starts with an M
Finished: 3/19/16
Rating & Review: 1 Stars
I did not enjoy this book at all which is really a shame because overall I do enjoy the series. If it was not for this challenge the book would have been a DNF for me. I could not connect with any of the characters and found all the self-flagellation tiresome. I also thought that the relationship was built on NOTHING. Mind you I like the whole fated to be mated instant love things but that was not the case here. Instead she harbors enough hate for him to let him be tortured and then all of a sudden they have sex. What? I thought I must have missed a few pages but nope that's how it happened. And of course sex means love. Right? Sigh two thumbs down.

Week 9
Spot: 85 ( or a title M book)
Title: Mom in the Middle (Texas Treasures Series #3) by Mae Nunn
Qualification: have a title that starts with an M
Finished: 3/22/16
Rating & Review: 3 Stars
This one had some really good parts. I loved that the main character is taking care of the elderly person in her life. I loved Abby Cramer in general. Also this one is very inspirational. This one did have low points. One being the plot it self. Not a lot happen in this book. I was just looking for more action.

Spot: 85 ( or a title M book)
Title: Moms are Nuts
Qualification: have a title that starts with an M
Finished: 3/23/16
Rating & Review: 4 Stars
I loved this collection of short stories. I was able to see both sides of most of the stories, seeing it as both a mother and a daughter. I learned new ways to drive my daughters insane, along with learning that we all have our own set of crazies.

Spot: 85 ( or a title M book)

Missing in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law mysteries, #5) - Jana DeLeon
Qualification: have a title that starts with an M and is #5 in a series
Finished: 3/23/16
Rating & Review: 4 Stars
Jadyn and Colt continue as the main characters in book 5 of the Ghost-in-law series although the main characters in book 3, Raissa and Zach are the victims in this one and Maryse and Luc from book #1 are also involved. Raissa is missing, presumed kidnapped and Zach is in a coma from an attach that occurs right outside Mudbug. Since they are FBI agents, the FBI tries to take over the case. Colt and Jadyn find a way to stay involved as the investigation involves the game preserve and several locals. They become targets as they start to piece things together. Heaven rejected ghost, Helena, can be depended upon to add humor and screw up the action. Jadyn and Colt are still circling each other so they will probably head up the next in the series. Great fun!

Qualification: Has to be 8th, 5th or have a title that starts with an M
Title: Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King

Finished: 3/25/16
Rating: 5 stars
Review: This book was pretty interesting. I love Stephen King and I loved the mystery presented in this novel. I always love how King's characters always have flaws and Bill Hodges is no exception to that.

options
9th
5th
95th
on the Detective shelf.

Brianna-And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (Detective)
Ashley-The Laird Who Loved Me by Karen Hawkins (5th in series) Ashley's review
Linda C-Real Murders by Charlaine Harris (Detective)
Lisa Kay-Shotgun Wedding by Susan Rogers Cooper (9th in series)
Denise-One for the Money by Janet Evanovich (Detective)

Love that series!

Week 10
Spot: 95 ( or from the detective list)
Title: The Laird Who Loved Me
Qualification: Has to be 9th, 5th or be from the detective list.
Finished: 3/26/16
Rating & Review: 3 Stars
I have owned this book for awhile but have put off reading it. I put it off because I have the book in paperback form and wanted to save it for a long flight or some other occasion when having the physical book is more convenient then the woes of charging and running out of battery. I am glad that I stopped the wait and read it. I liked the rivalry of the relationship. However, what I did not like was the ending. I felt like it was rushed. I would have liked to read about there life as a married couple. Further the hero's greatest fear was what would happen when he was older and she was still young due to the significant age gap. I would have loved it if the author did an epilogue far into the future. Just to show that she still loves him even when his fear was realized.

Week 10
Spot: 95 ( or from the detective list)
Title: The Moving Finger
Qualification: from the detective list.
Finished: 3/29/16
Rating & Review: 3 Stars
I love reading Agatha Christie so much. It is always a good read. I did like the main characters very much. The mystery was good. I just don't know why this was a miss marple mystery. She is not in this one a lot. But a good read none the less.
