Book: Distraction (Underground Kings #3) by Aurora Rose Reynolds
Read: 7-Feb-2016
Rating: ★★★
Review:
Aurora Rose Reynolds is not my favorite authors and I usually give her books 3 or 4 stars, but she is consistent enough that I always read her books when they come out. As others before it, Distraction was nice enough to read, but will be forgotten soon or at least until next book comes out.

Finding It is a good conclusion to the Losing It series. Kelsey is the spoiled rich girl partying her way all over Europe. I found it hard to relate to her but I did feel sorry for what happened to her when she was younger. Jackson seemed to help her and I was hoping they could overcome his secret. The story dealt with tough subjects and it felt a little predictable but I liked the ending. I will read more from Cora Carmack and plan to read her Rusk University series at some point.

I thought this book was cute. I liked the story line a lot better than some of her other trilogies and the characters were unique. Will definitely get the next book the series!

Review: I was pretty sure that the previous book was going to be the last book in the series for some reason. So I was super happy to when this book came out! Love Katie and Curran, they are my most favorite UF couple :)

I really enjoyed this book and how Adam and Holly reconnected after years apart and overcame their secrets. Jill Shalvis is one of my favorite authors because I love her sense of humor. I look forward to reading Griffin and Kate's story in the next book.

This last installment was beautifully written, and it was filled with humor, dept, and emotion and it was a strong and satifying conclusion to an incredible series. I felt sad saying goodbye again to this whole series that i come to love

While I enjoyed first two books in the series and had fun reading them, this one left me disappointed. There were some fun moments but all in all it was a chore to read it.

Shana's writting is gorgeous it is descriptive, but not annoyingly so. The story ie enchanting the plot pulls you from the beginning and holds your intreast till the end. The book was full of action, adventure, and fast pased i was never bored with this story.

Ty and Lauren's romance was sweet and I was happy to see her overcome her abusive ex-husband. I loved the friendship between Lauren, Jillian and Cara. The ending was perfect and the tension between Zach and Jillian in this book has me looking forward to their story in the last book.

Book: Jet (Marked Men #2) by Jay Crownover
Read: 17-Feb-2016
Rating: ★★
Review:
I read 1st book in the series well over a year ago and didn't enjoy it and ever since Jet has been collecting dust on my TBR. I decided it was time to give the series another try and read it for this challenge. I can easily say this book was even worse than #1 and I had much trouble getting through it. I am not a big fan of rock-star books and that's what probably kept me from liking this book as it was quite similar. I won't be trying to get to like this series anymore and will rather concentrate on good books I have to read.

Review: This book was ok, it was entertaining but I didn't think it was as good as the first one. I'll keep reading the series though because I still liked it. I like ghost story romance novels.

Read: Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater
Date: 2/19/2016
Rating: **
Review: I never understood why this series was a big deal, I didn't really like it. So why did I read the 4th book? I'm OCD and once I finish a series I have to completely finish it. Even if it's a bad series. Good thing I got this from the library...

I was bored for most of this book and I felt the writing style just fell flat for me. There was an interesting plot twist at the end but it did not make up for the lackluster first three-quarters of the book. And of course I only finished it because it worked for a few of my challenges. It is a debut for this author but I doubt that I will pick up any of his future books.

Book: Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark #4) by Kresley Cole
Read: 18-Feb-2016
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
This was 4th book in a series and it was a decent continuation of the story. It wasn't my favorite so far but it also wasn't as bad as #3 was. I was a bit bored with it and felt the ending was resolved quite quickly if looking at the rest of the book.

Consumed took me on an enomtional rollercoster ride. I laughed, screamed in frustration and was on the edeg of my seat during all the action scences. This book was truly ama amazing. Kate and Jordan had some great chemestry but, they were both also really stubborn people. RZ has created a complex world that i am exicted to lose myself in

This is a sweet love story and rhe conflict is of an emontional nature. The book was heartbreaking at times but with a lot of depth. The flow of the story was just right and it didn't drag at all and i found that the writing was beautiful and i was drawn into the story and i found myself laughing at times

Book: Blue Waltz by Linda Francis Lee
Read: 22-Feb-2016
Rating: ★★
Review:
This author was one of the first ones whose HR books were translated in Slovene over a decade ago so I was quite shocked when I saw on Goodreads how few reviews it has. Her books were always good and I quite liked them, so I expected the same from Blue Waltz. I read the translated version so I can not be sure if the jumbled writing was author's our translator's fault. Sometimes it was so bad I lost the story but thankfully overall storyline was interesting enough for me to finish the book, but not enough to be more than a 2 star read.

Read: The Happiness Project: Or Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun by Gretchen Rubin
Date: 2/24/2016
Rating: ***
Review: This book was ok, but it was a bit self absorbed. It's not really a self-help book to make you happy but the authors account. Results may vary after reading this book.

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. Cassie and Ethan meet in drama school and fall in love but Ethan does not think he is good for her or that he can be loved so he leaves. They are reunited for a Broadway play in the present day and Ethan wants Cassie back. The story alternates between their relationship in the past and present and ends on a cliffhanger. There is plenty of angst and tension between these two characters but I enjoyed their love story and cannot wait to find out how it ends in Broken Juliet.

Book: Guarding a Notorious Lady (Devine & Friends #3) by Olivia Parker
Read: 26-Feb-2016
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
I have many open HR series that I never return to, but as I started this series I knew I would finish it as well and that happened this week. This book was the last one in the series and it was very fun to read, just like the first two were. It was entertaining and fast paced, quite the opposite of many other HR books out there. I am only upset that the author hasn't published another book since this one as I would love to read more from her.

I have to say not only did i love this book but, i lovef this whole series. I tried reading this book slowly but, i found myself devoring it. I couldn't put it down. In this Installement we are introduced to more of everything ( vampires, wearwolves, and immortal beings ). Eventide had to pick up where Everdark left off.

I love all of the characters and the humor in this series. Charley encounters all kinds of crazy stuff in each book and still manages to keep a sense of humor. I still enjoy the t-shirt slogans at the beginning of each chapter too. This book had an awesome ending and I cannot wait to see what happens next for Charley and Reyes.

The Kowalski family is adorable and I enjoyed catching up with them. Ryan and Lauren's romance was a sweet second chance romance and I really liked the banter back and forth between the two of them. I am looking forward to Josh's story in the next book.

Review:
When I saw heroine in this book was a ghost I was quite sceptic about it as I don't usually read ghost books. The book was so nicely written it ended up being my favorite of the series (so far) and I'm really looking forward to read more from this author.

Book: His Secondhand Wife (The Copper Creek Brides #2) by Cheryl St.John
Read: 5-Feb-2016
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
This was the third book I've read from the author so far and it was exactly what I came to expect from the author. A nice, rather emotional read that serves a shy beta hero which is a nice change from all the alpha males authors write about today. There is another book in the series and it will be interesting to see how Chermaine finally gets married.
