I know I'm way behind, but I finished A Game of Thrones today, and have A Clash of Kings waiting for me at the library. As far as the group challenges, as much as I adore them, I'm going to have to not take on as many this year, as I'm in my practicum/internship semester and will be graduating this May. So I need to be wary of how much I take on, as I'll already have a full schedule!
Hey all its been a very long time since I've been on here. But being it's a new year it's time for me to get back on track with my reading. So starting off the new year I'm currently reading...
Finished The Last Orphans
(5 STARS) last night and started A Kindled Winter
on my KindleAt work When I get a chance I am reading A Curious Beginning
which is awesome! And my library book I am reading at home is The Boundaries of Desire: A Century of Good Sex, Bad Laws, and Changing IdentitiesThe Boundaries of Desire: A Century of Good Sex, Bad Laws, and Changing Identities
which is intriguing to look at extreme legal cases

which is very interesting, highly recommend already!
Erin (Paperbackstash) *Proud Book Hoarder* wrote: "I'm reading Harry Potter and the prisoner from Azkaban"Me too! I've been re-reading this series in the last few months along side my 'normal' books so that is my first book of 2016!

Elle wrote: "Me too! I've been re-reading this series in the last few months along side my 'normal' books so that is my first book of 2016! "It's actually my first time reading books 2 and beyond - loving it. Just finished the fifth book and waiting for the others in the mail.
Meanwhile, I am halfway through The Nightingale
I'm still supposed to be starting these buddy reads: Lolita, Rosemary and Rue, and the first Wheel of Time Book. (sigh, eventually!)
Cassie Cruel wrote: "I've gone onto
now"Cassie, I'm also into that series. It has its highs and lows but I love it overall.
Erin (Paperbackstash) *Proud Book Hoarder* wrote: "Cassie Cruel wrote: "I've gone onto

I started Cassandra Palmer and really like it too, along with Dorina. They are quite different but both are very good. My only issue is her drawn out confusing battle scenes. I have a couple of Cassie books and a Dorina book to catch up, along with a bunch of shorts/novellas.
Currently reading
though maybe
should be read first.

I just have to add this to my Kindle reading list which means it will be a very long while before I get to it. For I have about 100 series to attend to plus 1.15 TB of audio/ebooks/Kindle I already have on my PC. I'll just add it to my amazon wish to remember. Thanks
I just finished Taunting Destiny I felt that I liked the author and the main character but there was a lot of things that just didn't go well with me. I've heard the next book just takes it really in the wrong direction so not sure when Ill get to the last four books.

Finished Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things
which is so great and I award it 5 stars and recommend to it everyone! I also finished The Pentagon's Brain: An Uncensored History of DARPA, America's Top-Secret Military Research Agency
which is very interesting, highly recommend and also award 5 stars. For cookbooks I finished 100 Recipes Everyone Should Know How to Make: The Relevant (And Surprising) Essential Recipes for the 21st Century Cook
which was very well done, except for some slight weird layout. A great beginning cookbook. Currently reading Empire of Fear: Inside the Islamic State
which has started out very well and kind of scary with the implications of what IS started as and where they are planning on heading. Also just started Last Chance Mustang: The Story of One Horse, One Horseman, and One Final Shot at Redemption
and I am excited to get into this one.
Finished Last Chance Mustang: The Story of One Horse, One Horseman, and One Final Shot at Redemption
and it was extremely painful to read and definitely made me cry, but it also gave hope. 4 stars.Should be finishing Empire of Fear: Inside the Islamic State
today or tomorrow and also started up Psychopath Free (Expanded Edition): Recovering from Emotionally Abusive Relationships With Narcissists, Sociopaths, and Other Toxic People
and Becoming Beyoncé: The Untold Story
What I've read so far this year:Naked in Death - J.D. Robb
The Dream Thieves - Maggie Stiefvater
Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Maas
The Nightingale - Kristin Hannah
Whispers - Lisa Jackson
The Unsung Hero - Suzanne Brockmann
The Man in the High Castle - Philip K. Dick
The Dragon's Path - Daniel Abraham
Red Queen - Victoria Aveyard
Just finished
and loved it! Kind of on the fence about what to start next. It's a tie between the Fever series and the Hollows.
I am going to go through all of Simone St James books this year. I already read
, which I truly adored, next on my list is
Can't wait!
Finished
Empire of Fear: Inside the Islamic State which is a good overall history of how the Islamic State came to be and how different world events affected them, pretty interesting and exceeding scary, definitely worth a read 4 stars.
Psychopath Free (Expanded Edition): Recovering from Emotionally Abusive Relationships With Narcissists, Sociopaths, and Other Toxic People Wow, this was eye opening in light of my most recent relationship, I definitely recommend that anyone who has been dubbed sensitive or an empathy at the very least read the intro and the 30 red flags of toxic people. 4 stars.Still reading.
Becoming Beyoncé: The Untold Story Which is a Biography about Beyonce', has definitely picked up, and is a good read thus far. Last night I started
Confessions of a Deathmaiden which was recommended to me and is a definitely different kind of mystery. I'm into it so far.
Almost done with Daughter of Smoke & Bone its part of my TBR challenge as I brought it when it first came out and failed to read it. Love: writing style hate: the instalove. Plan to finish:
Leviathan Wakes
Hardwired
A is for Alibi
Buddy reads this month:
Pushing Ice
Nefertiti's Heart
Audiobooks I hope to get to:
The Final Empire
The Fifth Season
FInished:
a "futuristic" romantic suspense, book 2. My favorite of the series. Great characters.
- YA Fantasy, Book 2. Needs to be read in order. Action, Romance, Magic, Politics. Reveals are predictable, but impacting.
Vera wrote: "FInished:

- YA Fantasy, Book 2. Nee..."I started the In Death series in 2013 and I'm loving it; to date I have gone the first 19 books (plus the in between books) in the series. There are 54 book when one includes the in between books.
I just finished
The Spook's Revenge (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles #13) by Joseph Delaney.
I'm currently reading Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks. I'm going to give Karen Chance a go based on a lot of comments on here.
I'm keen to find another series that I can inhale like I did the Kate Daniels books lol
Finished
Geisha, a Life which I was intrigued by due to my fascination with geishas and the fact that this was Mineko Iwasaki's response to Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha and is VASTLY different in the background information of the two stories. This book was really good and VERY different from memoirs of a Geisha. It actually makes me wonder how he got that story from the same woman haha. I give it a solid 4 stars.
A Natural History of Dragons which started out delightfully well and unfortunately slowed WAAAY down. I loved the parts of the story with action, but it was almost painful to get to those points, I felt like the drab events in between just drug on for far too long. The drawings were superb, but I actually struggled to finish this one, and can't award it more than 3 stars. Still reading.
The English Patient with the group read, which has finally shown us Katharine, but is still interesting in the jumping around of point of views.also reading
Awoken as a group read (You can still join in: Awoken Buddy Read and we even have author Sarah Noffke available in the discussion area with us) which is very intriguing. I love this concept of the Lucidites, picking up nicely and shrouded in mystery. I had to forfeit
The Saint as my Buddy Pick for Me read when I realized it was book 4 in the series and it did not read well as a stand alone, this has since been replaced with
Token Huntress which is exciting!Last night I started
The House at the End of Hope Street which I picked up as a "blind date" with a library book and I am LOVING it, so wonderful, I want to live in this house FOREVER!
