Got a bit behind in my reviews...

I finished Close to Heaven by Pamela Clare, Colorado High Country #5, and LOVED it! Here’s my review.

I finished Code of Honor by Tonya Burrows, HORNET #4, and it was high octane action. Here’s my review.

I finished Diamond Drop by Roxanne St. Claire, Bullet Catchers #8.75, the final book in the series. Here’s my review .

Finally, I finished The Christmas Stranger by Anna Campbell, a lovely little holiday story. Here’s my review.

I’m now reading Shadow Fall by Laura Griffin, Tracers #9.

I finished listening to Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor, Daughter of Smoke & Bone #2, and it was so much darker than the first book. Incredible world building, however. Here's my review.

I'm listening to Northwest Angle by William Kent Krueger, Cork O'Connor #11.

Britney | 380 comments I’m reading Redemption (Redemption, #1) by R.K. Ryals for like the 6th time. Not the specific book, but the series, is one of my comfort in between series. And one of the only YA series I love. This one is a lot of world building and explaining, kind of slow to start. It’s more fantasy and ya than pr but the series gets into more romance. Angels and Demons :)

Saving Mistletoe by Shanna Hatfield Saving Mistletoe by Shanna Hatfield on Kindle
First of all, I love the cover! Lovey on Sugar Bear!! This book is included in the set of Christmas books I am reading. The short story is a sweet, romantic, clean holiday read. When Ellen literally bumps into police office Burke on his horse, her life changes in many ways. Burke remembers her when she defended a scum bag who got off. After saying a few things to her about her job, Ellen realizes she wants to help people more than climbing the ladder and making a name for herself. Of course, the romance then takes off. A small child, Missy, is in need of a temporary home, love and comfort. The perfect time of the year for miracles. Fun read. 4 stars

The Christmas Confection (Hardman Holidays, #6) by Shanna Hatfield The Christmas Confection by Shanna Hatfield on Kindle
This was a wonderful, sweet romance book. The characters were so real and strong. Fred and Elsa have feelings for each other, but both have their reasons for not pursuing anything permanent or letting the other know how they feel. The story has twists and turns along with love of family and friends, pasts that need to be put behind them and romance. I loved when Fred's family came to visit. These are aunts anyone would love to have. The only two things I found that I didn't care for was: the Kindle version needed to be proofread better and I felt the book was too drawn out. I feel it could have been condensed and still kept the great story line. I have enjoyed her books immensely. 4 stars

Home for Christmas by Patricia Kay Home for Christmas by Patricia Kay on Kindle
A nice, sweet holiday romance. Quinn hasn't been home for 10 years. Now her Aunt her raised her needs her help mending from a broken leg. When Quinn had left, her sister had betrayed her and the man she loved broke her heart. Now the two are married with children and Quinn will need to face them both head on. Peter lives in a small apartment next to her aunt. He takes an instant dislike to Quinn at first meeting and unfortunately seems to have the run of her aunts home. Being a predictable romance story we know how it will turn out, but the journey there is fun. A lovely story of family, forgiveness, tolerance and love. I did think though it got to wordy and too long. I felt it could have been condensed a bit and still keep the wonderful story line. 4 stars

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1488 comments I don't normally post a book unless I've finished it, but I'm making an exception for this one because at 15% into it, it is truly special. An English romantic-suspense with humor. I am in love and it is currently available on Amazon for $0.99.
