I finished listening to Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman, a unique and interesting story I loved. Here’s my review.
I finished Hello Again by Brenda Novak, The Evelyn Talbot Chronicles #2, and boy was it creepy and disturbing! Here’s my review.
I’m listening to Vermilion Drift by William Kent Krueger, Cork O’Connor #10, and reading Scorched by Laura Griffin, Tracers #6.

A 65 year old feud between the Tuckers and Westbrooks over supposedly stolen land is making things difficult for Bailey Tucker and Ryder Westbrook. Ryder has come home from the Navy after a crash, realizing how precious life and family are. He wants to expand the runway on the local airport to bring in larger planes and more work for search and rescue teams if needed. Unfortunately the land that he needs is on the family’s rival. Bailey is home after leaving a prestigious job as chef in New York to lick her wounds. Bailey and Ryder have known each other for many years and that twinge of attraction is still there. Both of their dreams depend on ending this feud between the families. A wonderful beginning to this series. The characters were wonderfully strong and believable. I loved the entire story line and characters. A lovely book of family, second chances, forgiveness and humor. Bring on the rest of the series!! 5 stars

Wonderful Treasure Hunt Tale

Was asked to read this book for an honest review. The second book in the McDougalls series. Finlay McDougall is is now in charge of running the clan. Finley has loved Kyla since they were children, but obligation to the clan has always come first. Kyla MacTavish loves riding her horse over the lands and also has taken many responsibility of running her families business with a brother who would rather run wild at gambling establishments and with women. Now that Finlay's brother has left and was to marry Kyla to unite the clans, it is now up to Finlay and Kyla. I just loved this story, The characters are strong, dependent and full of life. The author does an amazing job describing the characters, the times and places in detail that you feel you are there. There are many twists and turns in this story and the relationship between the characters. It is an engrossing story of family, honor, love and sometimes suspense. I now need to go back and read book #1 as I enjoyed this one so much. I the only drawback I had was the continuous "rutting" between the two of them. Got a little too much after a while. 4 stars

Great more suspense than romance series.

I finished listening to Vermilion Drift by William Kent Krueger, Cork O’Connor #10, and I’m finally over my funk about the last book. This has all the classic elements I love about the series. Here’s my review.
I finished Scorched by Laura Griffin, Tracers #6, and loved the suspense and revisiting Kelsey and Gage. Here’s my review.
I’m listening to The Black Box by Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch Universe #22 (almost done), and reading Make Her Pay by Roxanne St. Claire, Bullet Catchers #8.

now nearly finished with Serenity Bay by Bette Nordberg

A book with romance, family, mystery of "is he or isn't he" the real Lord of Hawksworth keeps you on your toes and makes this a real page turner. Lara is a very independent woman who cares more and greatly of others than herself. She has no desire to go back to her supposedly dead husband who has all of a sudden arrived very much alive and all that goes with it. But Lord Huntley Hawksworth has changed from missing at sea. Is this really her husband or an impostor? Can she care for him as where there was no love in him before? There are other issues brought up in this book. Spousal abuse, loving an orphan child that came from the orphanage and not heir to the family. I found the characters are so strong and well defined. A very strong story line. A story of romance, mystery, intrigue, sadness and forgiveness. I really enjoy her books. 5 stars

This was the sweetest, cutest, fun little holiday novella. It's filled with love, second chances, believing in miracles and magic. It's whimsical and made me smile and feel warm through the whole book. Yes, it was predictable, but getting there was so fun. If you believe in Santa Clause and the North Pole, grab a hot cup of cocoa or tea, relax and sit down and read this wonderful book. 5 stars

This cozy has it all: Murder, Humor and Romance

Is your profile pic The Guy, Disturbed’s mascot?"
No, it the from the Stephen King movie "It"!

I am reading these out of order, but I surely enjoyed it just the same. Violet is determined to only marry for love and has turned down many proposals. She is not one to sit and do needle work and run a household. She likes excitement. So when she witnesses a murder and before she can sneak away Lord Joshua Granville discovers her. Like Violet, Joshua is not your typical Earl and loves helping investigate goings on. With his best friend Lord Taylor they are trying to find the person responsible for this ring of crime. The only way to keep Violet safe is to marry her. What a surprise for Violet to see her upcoming nuptials in the daily paper. This story was a fun, fast, romantic and suspenseful read. I will need book 1 next. I have not been disappointed in any of her stories. 5 stars

Hi Cookie
There are currently 11 books that have been turned into movies:
Magic Moments
Sanctuary
Angels Fall
Montana Sky
Blue Smoke
Carolina Moon
Northern Lights
Midnight Bayou
High Noon
Tribute
Carnal Innocence
It looks like Blood Magick will be a TV series starting in 2018. I’ve seen a few of the movies. Carolina Moon & Sanctuary were my favorites

I loved it too! I couldn’t put it down lol

I think it was my favorite of all of the NR books I've read. I think a follow-up book, to continue the story, would be great. I just finished Whiskey Beach - that was an excellent story too.

This was a story about a pirate who isn't a bad pirate, but a good pirate. Only pillages from those that can do without so much, then gives it to those less fortunate. Eleanor Adams is the beautiful daughter of the pirate and this life is the only one she has known and is part of the crew. Captain Thomas Harrington, second son to the Duke of Ware has left his home and wants to live out of the sea. Being in the Royal Navy, his assignment is to hunt down Captain Adams. Thomas does not realize that Eleanor is his daughter after a sexy, chance meeting in a local tavern. I loved the entire story and all the characters. A story of romance, mystery and history. 5 stars

I found this story very confusing. I didn't read the first one and maybe I should have. The presentation on Kindle was horrendous. Spaces between lines and words. I didn't feel the story had any real substance, just the main character Marissa always wanting to be laid or lay someone. I realize that may have been the way it was when you are the King's concubine, but a little story would have been more enjoyable. Finally around the end, the story picked up. I love historic romances with sex, but I like a story with it. I really didn't enjoy it and couldn't wait to finish it. 2 stars
