Britney | 380 comments I finally finished The Beast (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #14) by J.R. Ward !!!! I'm ridiculous for waiting so long but I never can seem to help myself. It was amazing, I loved it. :)

Also started the third in the Phoenix Pack series Carnal Secrets (The Phoenix Pack, #3) by Suzanne Wright by Suzanne Wright.

I also finished The Admiral's Bride (Tall, Dark & Dangerous, #7) by Suzanne Brockmann which was another great Brockmann book. I'm now reading Darkest Before Dawn (KGI, #10) by Maya Banks .

♥ Joy Joy ♥ (joylia) Yes. It's me again. Time for my long list of books I read the past month and would recommend.

Holiday in Death (In Death, #7) by J.D. Robb - Book 7 of the In Death series - LOVED IT!
So many books to read and this series just keeps getting pushed on the back burner :( Really going to push through more of the series this year.

Firefighter Griffin (Fire & Rescue Shifters, #3) by Zoe Chant - 3rd book in the Fire & Rescue Shifters series by Zoe Chant. These are easy reads and pretty decent - especially if you are a paranormal shifter fan like myself.

Dead Boys Death is just the Beginning by Jesse Noland - Despite my apprehension, I really enjoyed this book. Just got sucked right in and really enjoyed the characters. I thought the plot got a little much here and there, but nothing I couldn't get over.

The Lost Boy A Haunting in Connecticut. (The Ghost Stories of Noel Hynd, Number 5) by Noel Hynd - Besides Stephen King and Dean Koontz, Noel Hynd always manages to creep me out (in a good way). This, though, was one of his way less scary/creepy stories but still a good read.

The Pagan Stone (Sign of Seven trilogy #3) by Nora Roberts - Loved re-reading this for the BoTMs.

Furiously Happy A Funny Book About Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson - Not big into non-fiction (especially biographies), but this was both informative and hilarious.

Firefly Beach by Meira Pentermann - An easy mystery read.

Jane's Gift (Lone Pine Lake, #1) by Karen Erickson - Easy romance read.

Please Don't Tell My Parents I Blew Up the Moon by Richard Roberts - 2nd book of the series. Don't really get caught up with books aimed more for children/pre-teens, but this has gotten its hooks in me.

The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax (Mrs. Pollifax Series) by Dorothy Gilman - I've read two other Mrs. Pollifax books when I was in middle school/jr high through Reader's digest. This is the first time getting to read the book that started it all. LOVED IT. Definitely would recommend to anyone who enjoys mysteries, spy novels, and such.

Sacrificed to the Dragon (Stonefire Dragons, #1) by Jessie Donovan - I enjoyed it and would recommend it to those who like paranormal shifter series. I gave it a 4 star and although I don't regret that rating, I would say that I think a majority would find it more in the 3 to 3.5 star rating area.

Freaky Hearts (A Mystic Caravan Mystery Book 3) by Amanda M. Lee - 3rd book in the Mystic Caravan Mystery series. I can't help it. I'm addicted to these books.

Dance Upon The Air (Three Sisters Island, #1) by Nora Roberts - Re-reading :) Anyone that hasn't read this series, I highly suggest doing so. I personally think it's one of her best trilogies.

How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell - This just got release for e-readers/kindle. Couldn't help but get it and reminisce.

Indexing (Indexing #1) by Seanan McGuire - My first audiobook! So glad I went with this one as my first. I can definitely see myself both sticking with the series and becoming a regular audiobook "reader."

Beyond the Carousel (Wyattsville, #5) by Bette Lee Crosby Beyond the Carousel Just finished
Book 5 in the Wyattsville series. A story beginning around the time of the great depression in 1918, going through many years and generations of the Hawthorne family. We learn of their love, loss, tragedies and mysteries. The courage and love all of these characters had brought tears and encouragement to me. Her books always make me cry. She touches a part of your heart and soul in this book. Her characters are so descriptive and strong, the writing of the times is excellent. Her books are a must!! Another great one!! I would give it infinite stars if I could.

Silence of the Lamps by Karen Rose Smith Silence of the Lamps just starting on Kindle. Finished 02/06/17
Another great book to the series. **Even in a series, the books can stand alone reads.** Caprice DeLuca is such a warm, compassionate person, who loves her family, friends and anything furry and on 4 legs. She is a home stager by trade, but her experiences in always coming upon a murder, puts her sleuth experience and nose into high gear. Her sister Nikki's competitor Drew, past suitor and past partner in her catering business comes up murdered just after they have a public argument. So when Caprice and Nikki find Drew murdered, Nikki is top on the suspect list. Caprice starts her investigation to make sure her sister is in the clear. Along with all of this, she had to find a temporary home for a pregnant feral cat, her love interest Grant is spending time with his ex-wife who is in town and Uncle Dom is becoming a pet sitter. I just love these books!! The author always surprises me with the "who-dunnit" when I think I have figured out the ending. I can't wait for the next one!! 5 stars
