Like me! And I agree, it's an interesting book. :)
I just finished Michael Connelly's, "The Poet" all I can say is holy cow this was an amazing book with everything that a thriller, suspense, and mystery enthusiast could ever want in a book. He makes you feel as you read, that you are right there with the male lead in the book. In some parts your mind is racing so you read faster to find out the next piece of the puzzle. It was intense. My current, Eeny Meeny" by M.J. Arlidge, I am not so sure of. I give all books a chance, so lets see how this will go...diving in...here goes!
This week:
Finishing The Complete Uneasy Tales, by Violet Hunt,
Starting Keigo Higashino's Under the Midnight Sun,
and continuing the Halloween reading, it's The Delicate Dependency, by Michael Talbot

I finished The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party
by Alexander McCall Smith,In this addition to the cozy mystery series, set in Botswana, Mma Ramotswe investigates a cattle mutiliation while Mma Makutski plans her wedding. I like Mma Ramotswe's calm wisdom and enjoyed reading about wedding customs in Botswana. 3 stars.

Yesterday I finished On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft. A nice book to learn more about the writer's job, but also about Stephen King. Now I'm reading Carrie, his first big success.
Reading The Riddle at Gipsy's Mile, third in the Angela Marchmont series set in 1920s England. Similar to the Mrs. Bradley series in that it features a wealthy single British amateur sleuth, assisted by her chauffeur. I skipped the first one, as reviewers stated that Angela wasn't present much of the time; didn't feel I missed anything starting with The Treasure at Poldarrow Point instead. Entire series is available for free monthly Kindle downloads to Prime members.
I'm currently reading Under the Midnight Sun, by Keigo Higashino. It's tough because it really is geared more toward YA readers and YA just isn't my cup of tea.
I just finished The Magpies
a very creepy Halloween read!My review:

Just finished The Girl on the Train and The Shock of the Fall. Definitely found The Shock of The Fall harder to read; it wasn't as gripping. I'm currently reading Frankenstein, rereading this book now I'm at University as I read it for my English Literature A-Level and Red Queen which is a book my friend lent me. Red Queen is interesting so far, similar to fiction novels such as Hunger Games and Divergent.

I finished Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder
by Joanne Fluke. In this first book in the series Hannah Swensen, owner of 'The Cookie Jar' bakery, sets out to solve two murders in between baking a lot of cookies. She also meets the two eligible bachelors that form her long-term romantic triangle.
Good cozy mystery. 3 stars.

]Just read The Girl on the Train too. I am always so late reading these books I have to wait awhile to watch the movie! I haven't read Inferno and I want to see the movie. I am actually thinking about skipping the book! Thoughts? Me and Dan Brown have a love/hate relationship anyway :-)
I finished Fatal Passions by Adrian Vincent. (For some reason it has no cover picture on Goodreads.)This book contains 16 short true crimes stories about unusual/interesting cases. A good quick read. 3.5 stars.

oops! That was funny, Tom. Re my thinking on Dan Brown: he was something new for me when I used to read thrillers with the first book, the second book was okay, and after that, well, he sort of got stuck in a rut and hasn't managed to get out since.

Just finished part one of a continuing series called the Bad Luck Cat Mysteries: Black Cat Crossing by Kay Finch. I suppose it could be classed as a 'cozy' murder mystery/gentle thriller, here is my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Finished
, liked it very much.By the way you can win it by taking this quiz now http://jvlbell.com/lucky-hat/history-...
I've finished The White Devil, by Edgar-winning author Domenic Stansberry, and it was a good one. Without giving anything away, it's a sort of modern take on an old Jacobean play.
I'm finished Skeleton Crew, a collection by Stephen King. There are some interesting novels here, written with different styles. You can read some of them only one time, because the end reveals the twist. But others are a pleasure that you can repeat more times. :)
I have just started my book clubs book called The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet..... am quite excited by it and so far so good :)
