Is while it lasts becoming a movie? You have it crossed out and dated but I can't find anything about the movie being released or a date for release.

Dee | 851 comments Theweebarrell wrote: "Hi can i join this challenge. I am new to the genre so not sure where to start or what is classed as new adult fiction"

Of course you can. It goes for the whole year. All you have to do is copy the categories from the first post and post the book cover and date read alongside the relevant category.

New Adult books focus on the period in life where you are becoming a proper adult. The characters are usualy between about 18 - 25 and are generally either at college or starting their first job.

The catagory fits between YA and Adult books. It has a similar coming of age feel as YA books but rather than people experiencing their first kisses the content and issues used are more mature such as first serious relationships and heartbreak.

New Adult books can be of any genre though currently contemporary romances are by far the most common.

Hi, that book is classed as adult. New Adult books generally state that they are in the blurb but I also look at the genre section at how high the ratings are for New Adult. If in the genre section has only New Adult or it is higher on the list than Young Adult or Adult it is generally considered a New Adult book.

We have compiled a list of NA books for a variety of topics at this thread https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

Lauren-marie Is anyone else finding this challenge harder than they first thought?

I am finding it difficult in trying to find new books in the new adult category, especially those that don't cost a fortune to purchase. How does everyone else feel about the challenge?

I only recently joined this challenge, but I have for all (but 3) categories a book in mind. I love this kind of challenges, so I thought about it a lot and checked all my books I already have on my tablet. Now I just need to find the other 3 categories and time to read. Good luck Lauren-marie!

Dee | 851 comments Yes of course. Use any books you have read this year. Enjoy! I will add you and choose your book for #51 when I get to my computer.

I'm loving the challenge! I try to keep my picks with characters in the NA age range but it is a bit difficult to accomplish.

I thought this would be really easy as I read a lot and thought I read mostly NA, but turns out not to be the case. I may be stalking your list Hanne to look for inspiration :)

Yes! I read one book that didn't even tell me how old the heroine was...then there are the books that are YA but I would argue are more New adult even though the heroine starts as 16. Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles, #1) by Kresley Cole It doesn't read liked YA and definitely has more adult themes. Anyone read this one? It's one of my all time favorites!

But anyways I'm coming across a lot of those problems!

Yes this is difficult. But in saying that there are a lot of authors and books that because of you all I now know about. And there will be even more when I get to the end of the year and have to go through your responses to enter people for the draw to win the prize :)

I am really enjoying this challenge. I check to see what others have posted to find books that are new to me and I go to the New Adult list categories. I check my local library to avoid spending too much money. My library also offers ebooks that are pretty current and they check other libraries for books that they don't have. Plus...this challenge is helping me go through my TBR list :)

Dee | 851 comments I'm glad you're enjoying it. Thanks for your post! I have looked at others lists as well for inspiration although that just increases my tbr list lol. I wish I was further in to completing mine, need to read more books.
