You aren't the only one complaining, a lot of other people have said it is harder to read. More having to do with the color, so maybe it shows up differently on different devices? Not sure.
I can't stand the new font. Makes it very hard to read things on here and some of it is showing up blurry. If it doesn't get changed I don't see myself spending much time reading Goodreads. :(
I"m not a fan of the new font, at all. I think it's the combination of a 'skinny' font and a super white background now that is making it so hard to read. I've had to set my default zoom on all GR pages up two to make it easier to read. I think it's just a waste of resources changing it!
They've made the font size on the boards a bit larger which helped but it still just doesn't look good overall but at least it's not totally killing my eyes to read the boards. My notifications however is a whole other story....
Wish they would maybe bold the font? it's just too skinny for my eyes to really focus on it :/ ugh. i have a headache just from trying to read my news feed. :(
@Brooke- Exactly! I'm struggling with it too. And just the little things, like the mods comments are not obviously 'yellowed' anymore but I LOVE the updated 'add book/author' box and the way that everything aligns on my profile.
Is it bad that I haven't even planned what I'm going to be reading in/for January yet? I'm just so focused on the series challenge..
Aly, I never plan what I'm going to read! I'm more like Berit - I just finished my book and don't know what to pick up next haha :P
Victoria, I like to do that too. But usually I have a rough idea or at least five or so books that I'd like to read & I pick from them.
I'm the same as Rachel. I normally choose which books I'd like to have done in that month and then just choose from those. But I don't really have a set order I do thing in:)
I live in Arizona so really it's not as bad as it would be if I lived somewhere else. But it's about 30F outside, so it's a lot colder right now than what I'm used to
I don't know much about Arizona, but that seems extremely cold for you guys. Hopefully your heating comes back on.
A nice day in Arizona would usually be something in the 80s. Usually our winter stays in the 50s or 60s, so it's been unusually cold so far. Thankfully things came back up about 20 minutes ago

I live in Southern Ontario and we've had no snow and we have an average of 2-3 days of the week where the temperature is around 40F-50F. For perspective we usually have about a foot of permanent snow by now and it's usually icy and around 15-30F.
Katrina wrote: "Well I would be more than willing to return Arizona's cold weather to you if I could lol"Fine by me! Just wait till Jan 1st cause I'll be in Portugal for the winter by then! lol. ^-^

Sounds like a plan to me! Haha

:D
I live in Virginia and we are around 50° same in North Carolina where I go to college which is pretty weird for this time
Jackie wrote: "How long will you be in Portugal for"3 months. My mom and I go away for winter each year.
Jackie wrote: "I live in Virginia and we are around 50° same in North Carolina where I go to college which is pretty weird for this time"Yeah. With El Nino this year it seems that all the usually cold places are warmer and all the warmer places are colder. I'm glad that my mom won the argument of where to go this year otherwise we'd be in cold Florida. ^-^

I didn't think Florida got that cold during the winter lol
Apparently this year it's cold. I'm mot sure what the exact temps are, but it's colder than the previous years.
we broke record highs this week in Indiana, was 70 on Tuesday, average is 30 something, record was 67
Well, we're the opposite here! We're right into summer now in Australia and we are getting some of our hottest weather, ever. It's bloody, bloody hot. Yesterday it was 45 degrees (I have now idea how to convert that to the American system, sorry), and our air-conditioner broke so we're are dying. I'm working upa sweat just sitting here typing, and it's only 9.00 in the morning...

@Bookbuyer- And what's the average temp in Fahrenheit? I'm just curious. The system confuses me to no end.
Rachel wrote: "@Bookbuyer- And what's the average temp in Fahrenheit? I'm just curious. The system confuses me to no end."Same. But what specific average temp? We've talked about so many I'm not sure which you're referring to. :(
I think Rachel meant 45 Celsius degrees (113 F), which is hotter than hell!I live in Brazil, and this is shaping up to be one of the hottest summers ever! Rio has been getting temperatures above 40°C, the beaches are soo crowded.
I don't even have AC, so I roast alive usually
@Tati- Thanks! You know what I mean. Americans & their Fahrenheit confuse me. I don't see why they haven't changed yet so everyone's on the same page? But yes, it is way bloody hotter than hell at the moment. I've never understood how people can stand behind outside in the heat, but good luck to them! I hope it cools down for you soon, Tati. Our AC is bust too, and, as I sit here typing this, I legit have a wet flannel around my neck. It's 9pm and it doesn't look like it cooling down anytime soon.
I've taken to going to sleep with my t-shirt a little wet, so I can fall asleep, rather than tossing and turning and sweating. For now, nights are not that hot, the worst is yet to come in January. When I move out from my mom's house, I'm determined to buy an AC for my bedroom, so I can sleep with some comfort
@Tati- Small improvements, I guess! Fingers crossed for you. That's actually a cute trick. I might try it out tonight. Nights are't as bad as the day, but they aren't cooling down bu much like they normally do.
