Ben sighed. "Fine. Don't talk to me. But at least listen."

"I'm sorry. Abby, I was just your age when I left. I had no idea what I was gonna do to keep myself from starving or freezing to death. Look Kid, I was gonna get you. I really was. As soon as I turned eighteen and they wouldn't have been able to do anything. I'm sorry I left you. Jeez kiddo, I've missed you to death."
Abby's eyes fluttered open, unable to resist the urge to see Ben's expression. She quickly snapped them shut. "I'm trying to sleep," she said into the pillow.
Ben sighed. "Night Abby. Love you."
Abby must've fallen asleep, even though she had no memory of ever drifting off, because the next time she opened her eyes, sunlight was sliding into the room. She moaned, still tired and burrowed under the covers trying to make it dark again.
((If he has windows in his room.))

Arkady was in a Starbucks, sitting in a plush chair by the small gas fireplace, drinking a Cafe Americano with an extra shot of espresso.
Ben walked in and sat on the edge of the bed. "Good morning, sunshine."

"It's too early to be awake," Abby moaned, but she came out from under the covers and sat up, her hair sticking out all over the place.
Shannon paced her old room and sighed, why did this always happen to her? What was it about her that made everyone love her? She couldn't see it. She moved on to thinking about this organization. There had to be more to it. There was no possible way they could make every single person on the Earth the same.
Shawn walked in and motioned for her to follow him silently. She did so and he led her down the hall to a room she'd never been in before. He crouched in front of a floor vent and patted the ground next to him. Shannon sat down and heard voices coming through the vent.

Ben grinned. "I missed your hair in the morning."
Ben laughed. "Okay, I'm gonna leave but I'll be back in a couple of hours. There's breakfast on the table, and I'll send Shannon over as soon as I can. Don't let anyone in. Lock all the doors and windows, she'll say something so you can recongize her. Anyway, bye." he kissed her forehead and walked out the door.
"Bye," Abby said, too tired to be curious about where Ben was going. She shut the curtains and tried to fall back asleep.
Mr. Matthew's and Jame's voices came through the vent.
"We've got every major company in the world under our control," James reported.
"Good, now what about governments," Mr, Matthews asked.
"We've got everyone but the US, sir," James replied.
"What are we going to do about that girl," The boss asked suddenly.
"We've got it all under control sir," James said. "We'll find her." Shannon stiffed a gasp, they were talking about her
"You've got to, she's the only one who can do it."
Shannon looked at Shawn and mouthed, "Do what?"
He shrugged his shoulders and got up. Shannon nodded, they had to get her out of there. even if she had even more questions then before.

Taking the scissors from her desk she ran back to the bathroom and used her comb to help her cut her hair.
Ben burst through the door and saw Shannon standing by a vent. He grinned. "Well that was easy. I need you to do me a favor."
"Shut up," Shannon whispered frantically. "I thought I lost you," She mumbled next.
Shawn looked at the guy then heard his father and James stir and wonder what the commotion was. "We've got to get out of here." He said then led the way out the door.
"How come you keep coming after me, I don't need your help!" Shannon told Ben.

Abby found it was going to be impossible to fall back asleep, so she got out of bed and went to the small kitchen to see what kind of food Ben had. Cereal. She frowned. She was kind of in the mood for a bagel and a frappechino. She checked her jeans pocket and realized she had forgotten to grab money. "I'm sure Ben has some money around here somewhere," she muttered and scanned his apartment. She searched high and low until she finally found a twenty dollar bill inside of a cup in his cupboard. She raised her eyebrows. "Okay then."
She quickly changed her shirt and ran her fingers through her hair trying to straighten it out, and left the apartment. I'll be back before Ben even knows I left.

Back in her bedroom she got dressed and tramped down the wood stairs to the front foyer. "Shoes shoes.." she muttered, stopping only when she found her Converse All-Stars. Chesney sat on the bottom step and pulled on her high-tops, black with white laces in one and blue laces in the other.
Checking that she'd remembered to put in her contacts she slipped out her front door and closed it carefully behind her before walking slowly to the sidewalk and counting each step to keep from being bored.
Bored and hungry, Arkady set his cup down in the small table beside his seat and left his messenger bag in the chair when he stood and went to the counter for the second time that morning.
Abby left the apartment and watched as her breathe showed up in the chilly air. She walked a couple blocks until she came across a Starbucks. She walked in and stood in line to order, looking up at the menu, trying to decide between a Caramel Frappechino and a Double Chocolatey Chip Frappechino.

"I'll have a, um, Choclatey Chip Frappechino," Abby said softly, not looking the person at the counter in the eye.
"What was that?"
"A Ch- ch- chocolatey Chip F- frappechino," Abby tried to say louder, causing her to stutter.
"Okay," the worker rang her order up and she handed the money over the counter still not looking him in the eye. She slid her change in her pocket and went to wait for her order quietly.

((I have an idea...))
James needed to find Shannon there was no other way to put it, but maybe he could buy himself some time if he found a new subject for the boss.
He dialed Arkady on his cell, hoping he was available.

"It's James. I need you to find someone for me." He started. "Shannon is still missing, and I need someone to keep the boss busy."
"Long enough to find her, and it might take a while, you know how much pride he took in training her." James said scanning through lists of recruits while he talked.

"Just show up," James said. "I don't want the boss thinking this was planned." He hoped this would work.
Abby sat down at a small table by the window so she could watch the people walking by. She sipped her drink slowly.
"No, but try not to make a big scene," James said, thinking about past experiences with trainees.
"Ok, try to be quick about it too, the boss is getting impatient," James said and hung up, the boss was calling him.
((gtg, time for church!))
((gtg, time for church!))

Arkady cancelled the call and put his Blackberry back in his pocket. "This day has gotten considerably more interesting."
Chesley bounced along until she reached a park and then she strolled to a place where there were just a few people. This way, she wouldn't be overwhelmed by their emotions.
Abby saw a girl who looked like she was around her age staring at her. She looked down at her drink, trying to ignore her.
Abby frowned at the girl's weird expression. She guessed any other girl would probably go over and say hi. But she stayed firmly rooted to the table. If that girl wanted to talk to her, she would have to make the first move.
Ben wondered what Abby was up to as he dragged Shannon outside.
Abby was starting to get really ticked off by the girl staring at her. Can't anyone just leave me in peace to drink my Frap? She drank the last few sips and got up to throw it away. She tripped over a chair right next to the girl and her trash went flying.
