((I'm here for a moment, just for fun. I'm at the library. Patrik didn't answer Sean! He is still in the same room as Salem, right?))

"Yeah like that. It was weird." Patrik smiled"
((thanks, I had a FAB time, how did your walk go?))
Mackenna nodded. "That would've been weird."

"It was. Like reading about our own lives. It was so odd.."

"So, the author got it close? You think maybe she is one?"
((I have an idea-ish thing. Maybe the girls use the morphine really fast because of who/what they are? so it wears off before it should and no one knows at first. Plus, maybe Salem and Emmy should try to talk again?))

((Awww whats your lab's name? I have three giants. :D))
"Nah, she isn't. She was just a really good writer." Patrik grinned.
The pain came back again, all to quickly in my opinion. I would think Morphine would last longer than an hour...

Mackenna laughed. "She would have to be to even get close to how it is."
It hurt. All over. What? Morphine? Are they sure they used Morphine? That's a friggin' strong drug! Why the hell does it hurt again! Salem bit her lip to keep from calling out as she woke up again. She couldn't see, the pain left a cloud that she didn't want to try and gaze through. all she knew was that Patrik wasn't there anymore and neither was Mackenna. Emmy? she searched, needing to know if Emmy was any better.

"No, We looked into it. She isn't." Patrik said shaking his head.
Salem's voice found me again through the fog of this damn place.
"Yeah Salem?" I say trying to concentrate through the fog and pain.

"Nah, I meant she'd have to be good." She winked.
Salem could tell, just by her mind's voice, that she was hurting too. It wore off for you too? I mean..that was Morphine!

"Yeah she was." Patrik laughed
I nod "Yeah and Kher gave me a LOT of it. I could feel how much. It was like double the normal ammount. I don't understand... What the hell is happening to us?"

Mackenna nodded. "Right. Hmm..what is your favourite song?"
Salem didn't move, though she felt like she should nod or something. Yeah, same here. That was a lot. I don't know Emmy..I don't and I wish I did. I'm not used to not knowing! Her mind's voice was tinged with frustration and agony.

"Anthem of our Dying Days By Story of the Year. How about you?"
"Tell me about it." I say "I wish something would work. Atleast to take the pain away. I can normallly deal with pain well but this is so bad." I shake my head "This is way to much." I say again "Salem... I think Patrik can help you..."

Mackenna had already thought about it. "It's an old song: Thriller, by Michael Jackson. Did you know he was black when he made that?"
Salem felt the tears stinging her eyes and knew they were open. She saw nothing but darkness. Pain..ugh. I always feel it, more than most but I had a high pain threshold..it's gone. This surpasses that. Emmy..something's got to be uber wrong for this to be effecting us this way...and Patrik...left. I don't know where he is.

"Well you're going to need him." I say "Try to get him to come back. I really don't care how it's done. And yeah something is Majorly wrong here. I don't lik ethat your awake and I'm not."

Awake is an overstatement. My eyes are open, sure, but I can't see right now. It's as if I'm not awake at all, besides the pain. I'll try..see if I can send a thought to him or something..careful Emmy. she paused. I love you, and I know that was random.

I smile "Love you too. You're like a sister to me." My eyes close involuntarily "I'll try to be Careful, but you know me. I attract trouble."

"Rumours Patrik. RUMOURS." she smiled.
Salem stopped the laugh before it had a chance to come out. Same here, now don't make me laugh!

"Ah. But I know for a fact." Patrik smirked
I smile a little "Ok. But get Patrik. I have an idea... Even though we all know how well my last Idea went."

Mackenna made an 'eww' face. "Gross."
I'll try. Just a minute. She 'focussed' on sending a thought to Patrik. Hey Patrik...you there?

I smirk "Yup I'm not going anywhere."

No...Emmy said you could help. She told me to get you, and she has an idea.

Not another idea.. jez that girl needs to stop thinking. We'll be right there.
"Alright we need to go back to Salem." he said to Mackenna

I try to remember, it takes a minute for me to figure it out.
"Have Patrik heal you. He's more powerful than Morphine. I think I should work."

I laugh quietly at hearing him. His voice sounds so good to my ears.
"Yeah. And If it works come and heal me. I'm ready to get out of this dream hell prison."
I open my eyes and I see a figure, which is strange I've been alone this whole time. Why would anyone else be here?

Salem felt a small smile tug at her lips. Emmy, you make my day.

"Glad to help Salem." I say but I'm distracted by the man standing infront of me.
"What do you want?" I ask trying to stand.
Patrik kneeled down next to Salem. "This better work." He said quietly.

"HmmMmm." Salem hummed a little to herself, closing her eyes though it made no difference.

Patrik put a hand to her head and started healing her.
"Come with me." The man says looking right at me
"I tend not to follow freaky dream men." I say leaning on the wall.
The man shoots me a look it says 'You're comming if I have to drag you.'
"I guess there's a first time for everything" I mutter and start to follow him.

Patrik looked down at her, this was going to take a while.
For a minute I wondered if Salem or Patrik could still hear me. Then I figured they were busy trying to figure out what the hell I did to us.
"So," I sigh "What do you want from me?"
"I don't want anything from you." He replies.
Great... "Then what are we doing?"
"Taking you to your mother." He says as if he takes comatose Lyrs to their dead mothers everyday. Maybe he does.. Either way, I'm so far beyond screwed.

She winced away from him for a moment when the pain flared,a small gasp escaping her lips.

"What?"
"My MOTHER?" I ask half laughing
"Yes." He says seriously
"I'm dead aren't I?" I say the sarcasam barely in it.
"No." He replies confused "Why would you be dead?"
"Well, seeing as my mother has been dead for 17 years. I was just checking."

The man nodded "Well she wanted to see you. She thinks you need help."
"That makes two of us." I comment running a hand through my hair.
The man stops in front of a door. It must lead somewhere, but I have no clue where. I look at him
"Go ahead." He says
"I can come back right?" I ask suddenly very nervous.
"Of course. When she is done you can walk back through the door."
He made it sound as if I couldn't leave untill she said I could. And knowing this place I probably couldn't. Taking a breath I step through the door.

"I don't know what else to do. That should work."
I'm in a room. It's huge and ancient looking. With stone walls that have infinite runes and symboly etched in them over the years by its various occupants. There is a sofa and chair near the center of this room. And at first glance there is no one here. You would think a huge empty room would be silent, but not this room. Noise is everywhere, soft like whispers, seemingly comming form the walls. I'm drawn to them. The rune covered walls, whisper secrest of unknown power to me. I go to place my hand over one.
"Emmeline." I hear a woman's voice say.
I spin and it's her, my mother in all of her glory. She's beautiful I find myself thinking.

"Mom." I gasp taking her in.
"Hi baby." She smiles at me holding out her arms.
I walk to her and fall into her. She hugs me tightly, I can feel the smile on her face. I'm smiling too, I've missed her.
((I'm thinking of keeping Emmy's dream for the book what do you think?))

She sat up and leaned against the wall beside him, just super tired.

Patrik was just as tired as Salem.
"Can you tell Emmy it worked?" He asked falling asleep.
"Come and sit" She says pulling me into the center of the room. She plunks herself on the sofa and I flop into the chair pulling it so I'm across from her.
"So, Emmeline. You seriously messed up." She says without humor
"Oh trust me. I'm starting to get that." I nod looking down at myself.
She's looking at me intensly, her eyes raking over me. I can feel it it's that intense, her eyes tend to linger on the tattoos and then lastly on my eyes. She's supprised at the silver there I can tell by the little bit her eyes widen.
"What? You didn't know about that?" I ask sitting back

But my mom is talking to me and I shake my head thinking that maybe Salem can hear the conversation we are about to have.
"No I didn't know about that. You were placed with Patrik so that didn't happen." She says shaking her head and standing.
"Patrik can only do so much." I reply curtly, instantly going on the defensive.

"I know. It's just it wasn't supposed to be happening this fast." She replied while pacing
"What isn't supposed to be happening?" I ask nervous again.
((I'm here just to say that I won't be here any more today. Until late, anyway. And then only for a few minutes. Movie for me too, except it's a documentary. XD About India. Wee! I'm going to say that Sean didn't show up until... now. Moo.))
Sean walked into the room and there she was. Awake. He smiled, but didn't say anything to her as he could see that she was concentrating. "Hey... are you Patrik?" He asked the man that was in the room.
