ROUND II: Team Vlad
New Goal
Read a book where the audio version is narrated by more than one narrator (duet/full cast)
Will check these at the same time as the previews for "A/An". I'd better get myself some breakfast first! back in 5

This is harder than I was expecting. I looked through all the books I could find in Varro (some did not have previews) and didn't find anything
I just downloaded the full cast audio of The Tempest. That would work, too.I'm checking all my books for a/an.
If we don't find anything already read I just started
The Golden Compass today. Audible says it's narrated by Philip Pullman and a full cast.http://www.audible.com/search/ref=a_s...

Yes I thought that was funny as I'm listening to it at the moment...
BINGO! Pure has multiple narrators :)
Still looking for A/An

Oh, The Golden Compass may work for our new goal if I can't find an existing book. I'm going back to searching for...

OK, I actually came here to say that I just finished
by Patricia Wentworth. If we need a W. None of the books I've finished start with a/an. I'll check my TBRs.
I'm getting to know all the books on the Maximus s/sheet that's for sure! lol
Thanks Teri-k
Looks like I'll need to finish up my new book earlier than expected for the A/An!
Waiting for a new goal

I read this for all the food words in it (just in case), but it is our only read book with a name in the title so I'll use it.

Ok, we have this one again:
Read a book whose author (first or last) starts with X
So I'm just going to make an executive decision and use one of our boons to get rid of it (we have 4 available)

Karen I noticed that my book Heartless is listed twice on the spreadsheet. Once with the finished date and once with no finish date but a goal listed (which it wasn't used for as Stacey finished The Summoning first)

I support this decision also
In Heartless, Alexia's best friend is named Ivy Tunstell. She is not the main character, but she is an important one.
Joanne wrote: "In Heartless, Alexia's best friend is named Ivy Tunstell"I love those books! Well, not the third one, but I love the others. :)

Me too. I have
ready to go for this week. Why didn't you like the third one?

Joanne wrote: "Me too. I have Timeless (Parasol Protectorate, #5) by Gail Carriger ready to go for this week. Why didn't you like the third one?"I really like Alexia and Lord Maccon interacting, and they were separated all the time. Plus I'm not that big a fan of Madame Lefoux and she was a big part of it. And I felt the plot was pretty diffused. It seemed like they just ran around Italy not having a clue what they were doing. So it didn't work for me.
Are you reading or listening to the audio? I like both for that series.
Used Shan's "The Young and the Submissive" read 20 Aug

I agree about book 3. Having Alexia and Conall mad at each other wasn't doing anything for me. And the Templars... Boring. I'm reading them. Haven't tried the audio at all. Nice to hear they're good though.

Didn't realize someone else was looking, too. :)

great idea! My X book is taking forever, but I am at 60% and will finish this weekend!
I just got my paperback swap package in the mail and Nine Coaches Waiting was in it. I'll be starting it right away. Also starting The Tempest.
I've finished The Brandons. Published in 1939 if we get that again. Narrated by a woman. Am I the only person who finds challenges change what I notice when I'm reading? :)
Great Teri-k!
Yes, it sure does change what I'm reading. Which is good actually, I've been quite diverse in what I'm picking up
No worries Eldarwen. It is Sunday here which is the morning my husband takes our son swimming so I have a few hours to myself :)

So before that big streak of goals I happened to check the master spreadsheet and we were dead last. Now we're tied for third from the bottom. Not bad, everyone, not bad at all.
It was Saturday night here and I've been with friends, so definitely no GR or reading for me ;-)
Lol yes, Teri. I pay way more attention to certain things that I didn't pay attention to before, just because I know that certain challenges and/or goals require more specific things.

I'm doing a challenge where this month you collect books with "bug" words in them. Now I get excited when I'm reading a book and see "spider" or "lice". lol
Amazing job ladies!!Sorry I haven't been around this week, I work for my mom and she's been working me hard recently which keeps me away from being able to use the internet freely and reading. :(
But I plan to be back to business this week. :)
Butttt I did get to finish this book:
by Michelle Hodkin
READ: August 21st
Rating: ****
Pages: 452 pages
Goal: No current goal

Thanks Joanne. If you can do the Varro read books, I'll do Maximus.
I started a book last night which starts with "A", but I'd rather use a book we've already read if possible! :)
