I have so many books I want to read next, I can't decide! I am currently working through the literature from Lost and reading Steinbeck but can't decide what to read next. Anyone have any suggestions?
Ha...that's a fun idea, Alicia. Have you read Heart of Darkness? I love that book. Slaughterhouse-Five is also great. Anyone else who wants to play along, the full list is here.

I haven't read Heart of Darkness yet. Thanks for the suggestion! I have read Slaughterhouse-five several times and love it.
I'm doing a little segment on the 18th century right now, so my next few books are Pamela: Or Virtue Rewarded by Samuel Richardson; The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling by Fielding; and The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman by Laurence Sterne. I know basically nothing about any of these books, so I'm kinda excited. Hope they don't suck?
I just started Death by Inferior Design today. Next up will either be The Zahir or At Home in Mitford.
I'm not sure yet what book I'll start after the Steve Berry novel I'm reading at the moment. Right now I'm thinking it might be Rushdie's Midnight's Children since it's light enough for me to carry but it might change between now and the time I return to my university xD
I think the next book on my list will be Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book. I'm quite excited, been wanting to read this since I first heard of it =)
Let's see, next 5 should be easy...1. 101 Cult Movies You Must See Before You Die by Steven Jay Schneider
2. Insomnia by Stephen King
3. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
4. Just After Sunset: Stories by Stephen King
5. The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
Am planning on reading Dostoevsky's The Idiot. One of the groups I'm a part of here at GR is reading it now and I figured now's a good time to start reading it (despite all the stuff I have to do for school) since it's been on my TBR shelf for a bit =)
Hello there. Recently I started read the books of well-known author Stephen King. I read "Thinner", "The Mist" , "Cujo" and think that they're awesome! Can you advise me which of his books to read next? (sorry for my english please)

My next few reads are shaping up to be...
both of which I have in paperback and sat next to me ready to start.
I'm also drawn to...
which I don't own yet but really want to read! Who knows what will distract me from this list though...
I honestly have no idea what book is next on my list as I have a pile of books that need to be read this summer, lol. I reckon it may be one or all of the following:- Kieli, Vol. 3: Prisoners Bound for Another Planet
- Nemirovsky's Suite Française
- Dostoevsky's The Idiot
- St. Augustine's Confessions. Saint Augustine
I'll be finished with
Horror: 100 Best Books
soon and I'm still in the middle of
The Shining
but my next books will be
The Historian
and
Pet Sematary
.
Great books, Susanna! I loved The Shining, The Historian and Pet Sematary! I haven't read Horror: 100 Best Books...I own it, though...it looks really interesting! Enjoy! :)
I'm planning on starting Tolstoy's Anna Karenina (at long last) as soon as I finish the current book I'm reading xD
In my stack from the library:Fallen Skies by Philippa Gregory
The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths
The Office of the Dead by Andrew Taylor
A Spell for the Revolution by C.C. Finlay
Murder in Plain Sight by Marta Perry
I think I might read Irene Nemirovsky's Suite Française after I finish the two books I'm reading at the moment. It's been recommended to me and has been sitting on my shelf for a very long time now *blushes*
My next book will be To Have and to Hold by Anne Bennett. My friend lent this book to me. I decided this would be my next read by sorting my To Read list by the average rating, and this one was on top, so I'm sure I'll like it.
Ordered four from Amazon yesterday:Lord of Misrule
Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto
In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin
A Visit from the Goon Squad
I recommend "He liked Tuesdays best" by Brygida GrysiakIt is a great and unique book, which allows readers to explore unknown fact about the normal, everyday life of Pope John Paul II.

David - I loved A Visit from the Goon Squad. One of my favorites!
I'm about to start Agaat, a novel by Marlene Van Niekerk. Set in South Africa, it is one of those dynastic books where a woman looks back on her life and the events & people that shaped it.It's 576 pages - so I'm looking for a chaser book (to read when I need to put this one down). Short stories might be nice. Maybe Kazuo Ishiguro's Nocturnes.
The next two books on my list are: The Bird Sistersand The Priest's Graveyard. They are on my summer reading list, so i'm forcing myself to not start them until my summer break starts :/
I am reading an insane amount this summer, so I'll probably be through these books this week, but up next is:
(which I'm SUPER excited to read!)
The books I'm working on from the library are:Four To Score by Janet Evanovich
Mama Flora's Family by Alex Haley and David Stevens
Island Beneath the Sea by Isabel Allende
The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
I finally decided to read "Moneyball" by Michael Lewis, one of my favorite business writers.Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game
Well, here's my stash: http://readinggoodbooks.wordpress.com...But I am planning to start with the Rizzoli & Isles series by Tess Gerritsen.
I am Listening to ...The Island and I am looking forward to reading... Distant Shores, Revenge of the Barbeque Queens, & Cowboy & Wills: A Love Story.
Hmm, next books...1. The Long Walk by Stephen King
2. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
3. The Stand by Stephen King
4. Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
Im reading Prodigal Father Pagan Son by Anthony 'LT' Menginie and Kerrie Droban...just finished Judas Kiss by JT Ellison .. i Love this series!!
We Have Always Lived in the Castle , The Turn of the Screw, Let the Right One In, Knockemstiff, Alice I Have Been, and Who Killed Change?: Solving the Mystery of Leading People Through Change are the next books on my to be read list! :)
