Task #5 - Novella/Short Story
There are less than seventy-four hours until the last Sunday Update!
For Task #5, I will give you a different kind of mission. One that could create quite a quandary, but will bring a large reward: Five (5) BAPs!◆ Reading novellas or short stories, spell out:Decisions, decisions.N.• The twist is you may NOT apply a book larger than 160 pages, and thus they may NOT be “tagged” towards your TTRC.

• EXCEPTION: They may be in an anthology; this is the only way you may “tag” the completed book, if you do finish the whole book. However, you are NOT required to read the whole book if you use an anthology. Nevertheless, you must use the titles, etc., of the stories within the anthology to do the spelling.
• Short stories must be greater than 10 pages. (view spoiler)
• The same rules as prior Spell-It-Outs apply. (view spoiler)
• They may all be done by one Team Member, or all nine read by different Team Members, it matters not to me.
• Yes, if a short story or novella has been read/finished on November 1st or after, you may apply it.
• You have until Sunday, November 17th, 9:00 a.m. - or your time zone to finish/post Task #5.
WHATEVER will you do?!!
Until the next surprise.
Post finished task here.

Steven wrote: "Book Ninja, do Graphic Novels count? I've read a graphic novel of 152 pages (less than 160!) in November that would work for this if allowed!"After consultation, we will allow Graphic Novels for this task.
Ashley Marie wrote: "...if I read more than one short story by the same author for this challenge (surprise! it's Neil Gaiman!), can I use the author's name for multiple letters?"Yes, you may.

Alas, Honorable Time Lord, you need to put in a "read" date for The Fall of the House of Usher and Other Tales.
Set! Goodreads has been so slow and crazy the past two days, I'm surprised there haven't been tons of errors and double books etc.
Congratulations, Mango Tango!

MoonstoneFor pure curiosity, Catherine rolled 10 for Task #3 - Random Genre. I was wondering what our genre would have been.
For Task #4 - Random Bookcover, I rolled (1+1+1) = 3.
Thanks!

A Kurt Andersen|Human Intelligence (Ashley Marie - 11/14) from Stories: All-New Tales
Ashley Marie, I need to know the name of the books where the stories would be found. Such as: N. - Neil Gaiman|How to Sell the Ponti Bridge = Stories: All-New Tales
Ashley Marie, I've got nothing for Amanda for Eric Van Lustbader. The book containing the story/novella needs to be on her "all" or "read" shelf.
NBRC Book Ninja wrote: "Ashley Marie, I've got nothing for Amanda for Eric Van Lustbader. The book containing the story/novella needs to be on her "all" or "read" shelf."I think she's currently reading it - she just read the story out of it to cover the letter, but hasn't finished the book yet.
I know a few of the stories I read aren't listed on Goodreads at all...does that disqualify them?
Could she do like you did and mark it as "currently reading" - or at least add it to her bookshelves, somewhere. Langston Hughes, too. And I don't know what else, that is as far as I got.Edit: "Please" and "thank you."
I'll PM her about it!The Larry Correia story doesn't exist on GRs at all - I checked because I wanted to count it toward my yearly total. I finished another one of his this afternoon, too. Would it be easier for you if I just swapped them out?
NBRC Book Ninja wrote: "Should I get a librarian to add it? If so, I'll need more info."If you want to! Honestly, I can do it the next time I have time to fiddle with it. For the sake of this challenge (and expediency), I'll just swap to the story I read that is already catalogued. Then it's done and not tying you up!
NOTICE TO ALL TEAMS: I will take hyperlinks to websites with postings of free short stories/novellas by authors, etc., as long as it is clear which stories your Team read.
Ashley Marie wrote: "Sorry to be the naughty kid with this one!"Nah. You've got a halo over your head. ☺

I'll have a chat with her.
NBRC Book Ninja wrote: "And thank you for the links to the bookshelves, Hobbits. A nice treat for me."You're welcome.
Is that extra BAP? :P
NBRC Book Ninja wrote: "LOL! Maybe a cupcake? ☺"Nah, have plenty of those. We were planning to have cupcake garage sale to get rid of them (and earn some books). Does any team need cupcakes? They are on sale!
Good thing you weren't checking links as soon as I posted them. Wrong shelf was linked. I went by default and put in challenge shelfs and then wondered how come none of the books shows up. :D
Congratulations, Leather Jacket Black!
