Question about the 2013 and Rewind shelves. I'm assuming we're going with original publication year? Because you know that sometimes different editions are published in different years.

All team threads are up and ready for chatter. I've had a strange day. Either GR is screwing with me, my fingers are moving faster than my brain or some combo of the two. I've had some problems with the program I use to make the bingo cards as well. SO, if you spot anything odd - something missing, typos, cards messed up, lists don't match, whatever, just holler and I'll fix it for ya.

Sorry, but I've been unable to get it to show up. Not sure why. It was there when I created the thread. I've tried other fixes and it's still not working. I'm hoping it's a bug with GR and it'll show up eventually. In the meantime, I've posted a direct link to it on your team's thread. I'll keep messing with it in hopes I can fix it for ya'll.

I am a bit confused on how to find the shelves, i have read the rules and everything but i am confused, i tried the "tips for how to find a BSB book" i tried that and it didn't work, i just want to make sure i know what i am doing.

If i go to "genres" and type in "rewind" (for example) would this be the same thing?

Delmy - Rewind is a personal shelf (Steph posted the meaning of personal shelves in page 1 of this thread.) and you can't go to genres. You have to use the shelf.

For the rest of the non- personal shelves (those without asterisks), you go to www.goodreads.com/shelf and type the exact name of the shelf then press "find a shelf". That will show a list of books from that shelf.

Glad your card showed up, Jennifer. Not sure what's going on with them. GR bug, maybe?

Reminder: those shelves we're pulling from GR will have direct links posted each week so you'll go directly to the correct shelf. Also, on the list and cards, I may not have included the (-) dash that's found on the chosen shelf. For example: part-of-a-series has the dashes on the chosen shelf, but I left them out when typing up the cards. Hope that makes sense.

So dumb question re personal shelves. I enter the shelf name 2013 - can I use any book on that shelf even if it was not published in 2013? (Some people use if for read in 2013).

Also for First, Second, or Third - I'm assuming I type in First or Second or Third (3 different shelves) not First, Second, Third in the shelf name, right?

I love the personal shelf choices as well.

I think the First, Second or Third wasn't a shelf name but just a book first, second or third in series.

None of the shelves marked with an * asterisk are shelf names. All are just personal choices that fit in that category.

But, I could be wrong?

Usually when shelves are announced they're also explained/linked. Message 49 this thread (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... ) was the official explanation of the 7 personal shelf names so far and said:

"There are seven Personal Shelves this round
Personal shelves are indicated with an *. These shelves will have no direct link. Choose books from your shelves, as directed.

R8 Personal Shelves
* 2013 ~ books published in 2013
* Favorite ~ books by your favorite author, in your favorite series or favorite genre
* First, Second or Third ~ the 1st, 2nd or 3rd book in a series

AH, Debbie is correct, you don't need a shelf for eg.2013, just a book originally published in 2013.

Daylight savings is ending on our starting day, so generally recommend Standard. (Right, Sandra?! Who's hopefully already in bed so she can be up bright and early for all of us!)

I've thought about it. I've got to finish the cozy mystery I'm reading and Love Irresistibly first, so I can claim the 50-pointer for the Seasonal Reading Challenge.

However, two books I have selected for other tasks at the SRC, and would work for this week.

The Darkest Edge of Dawn was also on the "dragons" shelf. o.0
