As you all surely noticed, there was no October book of the month. I found myself getting further and further behind in the BOM, so I skipped October to get ahead.

Now, I'm asking for suggestions for November. I'll take suggestions up until Oct. 19, then have the voting finished by the 27th. Hopefully, this will give us all time to actually read the book, lol.

Remember: do not pick a book we've read before, and authors, do not suggest your own books.

Now then, what should we read?

Maria Schneider (bearmountainbooks) | 299 comments How about Modern Sorcery?

or

Stage Fright

or

Booster & Reeves: The Night of the Revenants

Those last two would make good Halloween reads!

message 9: by Jalilah (new)

Jalilah I suggested this already but it did not get chosen. In the meantime I read it myself and just got to say, it is so good that I am going to suggest it again! I really I think you would all like it. It is something different it is original. It is:
Of Blood and Honey by Stina Leicht by Stina Leicht

am never knew who his father was. The town of Derry had always assumed that he was the bastard of a protestant — his mother never spoke of him, and Liam assumed he was dead. But when the war between the fallen and the fey began to heat up, Liam and his family are pulled into a conflict that they didn't know existed.

A centuries old conflict between supernatural forces seems to mirror the political divisions in 1970s-era Ireland, and Liam is thrown headlong into both conflicts! Only the direct intervention of Liam's real father, and a secret catholic order dedicated to fighting "The Fallen" can save Liam... from the mundane and supernatural forces around him, and from the darkness that lurks within

Amyiw | 86 comments I don't have Helen and Troy's Epic Road Quest by A. Lee Martinez but have Gil's All Fright Diner by A. Lee Martinez on my shelf and have been meaning to read it. So I will nominate it.
