Well, yes Werner is smart guy here but English literature usually show kids of 13/14 as smart as Werner in many books and in movies & TV shows, sometimes I feel jealous, why aren't we Asians like them :P

if we got lucky,, otherwise we get in addmission in master or any post graduate degree and live on allowance given to us my our parents.

and in Eng-lit at age of 16-17 they are like full grown people/adults which live, earn on their own

Most books I've read about word war or stories showing old era have over smart street kids, like "The Book Thief", "All the light we cannot see", "Hugo" "The True Story of Hansel and Gretel" etc, maybe they try to show nature is best teacher.

And they were kind because of nature and streets kids were good now a days its different all are almost by own no social activities! World is getting emotionless!!
