Series Read: The Dresden Files - Jim Butcher

I'll hold off until you get your copy. Then we can start together. This is a re-read for me but I can't remember much of it other than the atmosphere and humor of it. It will be a great refresher.
@Justin, I too want to read the series. I've only read the first one but it was years ago.
I listened to the audiobook of the first one but would like to read the book. Ready to start whenever you guys are ready.

Chapters 25-end

Overall I liked it but the books are starting to get harder to follow since they're getting more and more complex with all the history from previous books. 4 Stars.

You have so much more coming, Kelly. I'm so jealous of you first time readers :D

Looking forward to discussing with you all soon!

I haven't re-read a book in so long now. I have a to-read list a mile long. There's too many good books out there.
Did you like the TV Show?

Looking forward to discussing with you all soon!"
Tsk Tsk, Impatient Man! :P
I'm going to start on the 5th like we planned. I'm looking forward to it.

Ahh. I watched it a long time ago before I even knew there were books. I liked it quite a bit. I was sad when they stopped it.

A few episodes claim their free in imdb. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486657/e...
Not sure how well they work.

I had classes start today so I haven't gotten to start yet but I will be starting tonight after I work through my massive mountain of goodreads emails (I'm sure you all know how that is...lol)

Chapters 12-24"
I'm reading this now, Kelly. I'm at the part (view spoiler)

Maybe a current state of affairs pre-section to the book :P I have a hard time keeping track of who's at war with whom.

I finished it last night. [spoilers removed]"
I have the next one checked out but I need to get some other books wrapped up first. Trying to be better about how many books I have active heh.

The teacher thing ends up being neat. I read the next book so far and it's still a bit on the backburner but I hear it picks up a lot in the later books.

Oh, that's nice to hear. :)

I'm at the end of Chapter 35 (63%) and I'm really loving this one. It is back to classic Dresden character development.

I've got my husband started on Storm Front which is a bit exciting that I'll have someone else to discuss the series with :)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

it is a bit short termed but a friend and I are planning to start the Dresden Files on the 15th March and I wanted to know if there is anyone willing to join (and with that help me to fulfil part of a Novel-Roleplay Quest) ^^

Reminds me of Kim Harrison's The Hollows series. I've heard this wasn't the best book in the series, so I'm looking forward to the rest, because 1/4 into the book, I'm liking it.

Are you listening to the audio or reading a copy Marla?
I liked the first few books, but it really does step up a notch after that so I do understand people that are a bit "take it or leave it" after the first book
