Also, some of your predictions are spot on. Harry will revisit the island in the next book and yes it's a bit creepy.

Chp 39-46

#1 – I’m hoping!

#4 – It was a “fun” scene, to see Harry get the better of Nickelhead that way.

#6 – Yes, very sad. He does deserve better.

#9 – I think Murphy will – eventually! Yes, poor Sanya!

#11 – **gasp** You could be right, ShoSho!

#14 – I’m thinking you’re right; Helen is Marcone’s Achilles’ heel.

#15 – Very scary! Creepy.

#16 – Good point about Susan’s protection! A part of me worries that Luccio could be the traitor and that seducing Harry is all part of her plan. **sigh**

Lauren's Answers to Gisela's Questions for chapters 39-46

1. Thoughts on the Harry-Murphy scene and the reason why they've never gotten together.

Interesting. I guess that it would never be a casual thing for them

2. "I was going to put the dinosaur back...” Lol

This made me laugh out loud

3. Now we know why Thomas hasn't been around much. If Harry gets in a relationship with Luccio, things could get complicated if she finds out about Thomas.

Makes sense - poor Thomas :0(

4. Harry's time with Lash has paid off. Twice he avoided being manipulated by the Nickelheads. It's nice to see Harry figuring things out before it's too late.

Its about time he started pre-empting the baddies

5. Gard certainly knows how to make an entrance! Gotta love Marcone for putting Ivy first.

Loved that entrance! Marcone has his moments and I can’t help but like him

6. Michael! He told Harry in Proven Guilty that he felt his retirement was near. Seems he was right. Thoughts?

OMG! I was wondering if maybe Michael was a goner there but it does seem like his days of being a knight are over.
7. Loved the dialogue between Harry and Eldest Gruff.
-"Likest thou jelly within thy doughnut?"
-"Nay, but prithee, with sprinkles 'pon it instead and frosting of white.”

Yes. It was great how Harry thought his way out of this one.

8. Harry spanked Nick's butt! Finally, but this isn't the last we'll see of him.

Loved it when Harry punched Nick in the face - he sure wasn’t expecting that one. I also think it isn’t the last we’ll see of him or the other Denarians - its a pity they got their coins back :0(


9. Murphy got a job offer. Think she'll accept at some point?

I knew it, I knew it! That scene was my favorite - Murphy the warrior. I think she will accept the job offer - the police force just isn’t doing it for her anymore

10. Charity names Harry part of their family. Thoughts?

I wasn’t expecting that. I though she would turn on Harry like she always does and blame him for the choices her husband makes. Maybe she is growing as a person

11. So Uriel was behind the silver hand and gave Harry the ability to use soul fire.

It seems he was impressed with Harry’s ability to stave off Lasciel’s possession. I wonder why he is called the Watchman

12. Why did Thorned Namshiel attack Arctis Tor? Do you think the gruffs were involved in the attack? And why is Mab still talking through Grimalkin?

Does this mean the Denarians were behind the attack on Arctis Tor? Sounds like Mab is still mighty miffed about the attack on Arctis Tor - the Denarians should watch their backs!

Like Lisa Kay, I also suspect that Namshiel might also be a member of the Black Council.

No idea about the gruffs or why she is speaking through Grimalkin

13. So now Harry has to take care of two of the three holy swords…

Makes me worry about Sanya…

14. Did you guess it had been Helen who betrayed Marcone?

While I was surprised, I really shouldn’t have been because she does have reason to hate him

15. What do you think of Harry's Sight and what it said about the island?

Yup, sounds like the Island will be making a come back at some point

16. Bob and Thomas will probably make a party for Harry, he finally ,ahem did something good for his soul. However, will this remove the protection he has from the White Court? And
what do you think about what Murphy said about Luccio being wrong for Harry?

Have I mentioned how much I love Bob? His comment about Uriel doing Harry a favor made me giggle. He sounded so gleeful, lol!

The Soulfire is an interesting concept - I just know it is going to come back to bite Harry somehow.

It does sound as if Harry’s protection from the White Court has expired...

Murphy has a point but like Lisa Kay, I think she is jealous deep down inside

Question about Ivy: Doesn't it say in Death Masks that her mother died in childbirth? Why then does it say that she committed suicide in this book? I'm confused...

My company arrived early and I was in the shower! I'm hooked on GRs. **sigh** They are in the garage now working on something... and here I am, fiddle-farting around on GRs still!

Oh, well. I've lived too long and worked too hard all my life not to enjoy doing what I want in my retirement. That is what retirement is all about, right? I'm fortunate, indeed, and I thank my lucky stars each and every day I'm able to do so.

I thought it didn't match info we knew about her before. But it's better to go with new info .
My understanding was that the Archive was just a living walking database !They would just grow up to womanhood then conceive ,die and transfer the Archive to the daughter. I didn't think they could have a normal life ,grow old or fall in love !

I remember now , she said Harry could power the circle for more than half an hour or an hour but she couldn't have done even with her old body.
I think that's where I started suspecting her of something !

Why did it make you suspect? To me it put in perspective how much power Harry has. He's said before that he's a heavywieght in raw talent but still has a lot to learn. Personally I think nonce Harry gains more experience and knowledge he could make it to the Senior Council. We don't think so because we're inside Harry's head but he's one scary dude.
- He's very powerful
- he killed a faerie princess
- started a vampire war
- went head to head with Nick and came out on top
- he has two of the three holy swords in his custody
- he withstood the influence of a fallen angel, who had access to his unconcious self,
- Now he wields soulfire
- And the things he'll learn and do...

The Merlin has every reason to be wary of him. :)

Ohh-Kay ! When you put it like ,he's pretty scary. He doesn't see himself as scary and we see everything from his POV .

Yes I finished it today. I don't how I feel about it. Did it make me feel better about what happened to Michael ? I'm not sure but the ending almost made me cry and it wasn't even sad. I loved it
