I finished the novellas. "It's my birthday too" I don't think it is important in the overall story of the series but it showed some emotional moments between Harry and toe-moss! The other one ,heorot, was a bit shorter and it had Mac and (view spoiler)
I'm ready for the next book.
I ordered the audio CDs from the library for
, but it hasn't come in yet. Maybe today. Is it okay to read all of them?
No, the last one is set after book 12, and contains HUGE spoilers!
But each story is identified with its placement within the series. I read the stories as I read the series. I think it's best that way.

Shosho's Questions for Chapters 1-121. With that first sentence it doesn’t sound Harry is going to have a fun winter , it seems something ominous and sinister is waiting just around the corner . Does this show the winter court is getting stronger? Comments?
2.Charity is more charitable towards Harry (I still don’t like her) and had a civilized conversation with him about Molly and his childhood and I liked that she dumped the snow down the neck of his coat. Harry deserves some fun. Is there any significance to Molly’s talents? Is she going to find a job that suits her talents?
3. What’s with the goat thingies? Did you notice the second set that attacked him were bigger? I wonder if there will be a third attack with even bigger gruffs ! In these series nothing is what it seems in the first glance. Do you think Tatiana sent them ?if so what is her reason? and are the gruffs responsible for killing the trolls in Arctis Tor?
4.This dallas trip and the black dog , another short story or just a way to talk about the Paranet? What do you think of the Paranet?
5.I love it that Harry is learning more by teaching Molly.I always thought he should try to learn more. Thoughts?
6. What did you think was the purpose of the pentagram? banishing?summoning?containing? Why the explosion? And whose blood was that? Your thought before and after Mab’s revelations.

9.I loved that trick with the leaf.Is Harry right about the response he would get from Tatiana if he uses the leaf?
10.Is Torrelli one of Marcone goon and is he rebelling now that Marcone is missing?Are we goig to see more of him?

12.Did the Knight of the Blackened Denarius kidnapped Marcone? If so , why? Are they one of the signatories?

It is symbolic that the story is taking place in winter and involves Mab. They sort of go together…

I still don’t like Charity either. A couple of playful moments do not make up for all the nastiness she has sent Harry’s way.
It is interesting that Molly doesn’t have the necessary skills to be a warrior wizard. With her ability with veils and the more subtle forms of magic, she might make a good investigator but not one that would need to use physical force

I love the gruffs, lol! Yes, there will be a third attack at some point (these things usually come in threes in fairytales). It does look like Titania sent them and they may have killed the trolls. Hopefully everything will be explained…

I thought at first that it might be a short story but there was very little detail and now I think it was just an aside to show that Harry is working on the Paranet (which sounds very cool). It is good that those with weaker magical ability can find a way to protect themselves

It does sound like he’s benefiting from the lessons as much as she is. He is definitely stronger now, magically speaking, than he was at the beginning of the series. Still gets his butt kicked though, lol!

If its for summoning or containing that whatever it is, is BIG! I think that something may have gone wrong with the spell and that caused the explosion

Have no idea what she wants with Marcone - I didn’t think she was even aware of his existence before now.
Re Grimalkin - I think that Mab has been weakened in some way and she needs to talk through him because of this. Maybe she needs Marcone for this reason as well but I can’t figure out how he could help her

Yes, that name for Murphy was very suggestive. Now that Murphy is having so much trouble with the police force, I think that she will eventually become the third knight.
I don’t read novellas so I have no idea about Chooser.

It does seem that the mice are taking advantage of the cat being away and Torrelli is trying to usurp Marcone’s position. Something tells me he is not going to fare well in this book …

The White Council will probably get involved at some point but I’m not sure if Harry will be the one to alert them to the situation.

I don’t think the Knights took Marcone - if they did, then why would one of them be at the house? I think they are looking for him too.

LOL! I was just saying that about the fun. ☺ Anyway, I do think that Molly’s type of magic is going to be important; I just don’t know how. I don’t think she’s going to do the job thing, but I’ve been wrong before.

I don’t know if the Gruffs are responsible for killing the trolls, but I’m betting Tatiana did send them. All I can say is, “Machine guns?” LOL!

**shrugs** I think it is a short story. I got the audios, just haven’t listened. I think the Paranet will come into play, but may not until later in the series. Seems like JB is building this slowly.

Yes, I think Murphy is the next wielder of the sword. I have no idea about “Baron” and “Chooser.” Guess I need to read the novellas.

14. Ok. The Denarians are signatories of the Accords. What is the significance of this? Why do they object to Marcone?
15. The coin would know exactly how to manipulate Thomas - with Justine. Do you think Thomas would risk being possessed to be with Justine again?
16. Sanya recognized Thomas as a vampire but not what Gard is. Why not?
17. What’s with Michael's "do you" Comment?
18. Harry surmises that the Denarians want to recruit Marcone. Marcone as a Denarian - very bad news! Would Marcone go for it? Why do they want him?
19. Nicodemus is back! What's he up to now? Will we finally be rid of him?
20. Michael is still all about duty. Isn't this naive? Harry and Michael are on the outs. I find Michael to be a little to holier than thou and judgmental when it comes to Harry - it is quite irritating! Do you think they will sort things out by the end?
