I haven't started this. I have the paperback, but haven't gotten the audio from the library, yet. I'll start it in a few hours and get the DQs up.
I'm on chapter 2!I have a question .when the series started Harry was 26 each book starts between a year and 9 month after the previous one so does it mean Harry is 34 or 31? how many years has passed since the start of the series?

When I do these, I actually listen to the audio and then go back over it via paperback. I know, I'm weird. Anyway, I really miss doing that.

Questions for chapter 1-111-Gulp! After listening to the first few minutes of this book I had goose bumps all over me! The blood droplets and head rolling on the ground ...**shudders** . Anyway I was wondering about death curses, couldn’t he sent a death curse to Morgan? Or do the executioners have a way to protect themselves?
2-The Merlin doesn’t approve of Harry at all . He brought the kid to be executed in Chicago, mentioned killing the Corpsetake and wanted to strip him of his position and probably much more .So what’s with that? Who is McCarthy?? Could The Merlin be the traitor? If not him, then who?
3-Why do you think the Summer court hasn’t done anything about their declaration of war? And why Winter hasn’t even responded? What’s wrong with Fix?
4.What did you think of the gatekeeper’s message ? Why did he send it to Harry? Is it possible that he knew Molly was involved and that’s why he asked Harry? and Bob’s explanation for it, the hindsight ?
5. Does Thomas have a job now? Is that why he’s not around much or there is some other reason?
6.Huh!I was impresses with Harry’s little Chicago . It was a genius idea. I only hope it doesn’t backfire.
7.What was your first impression of the new Molly and his boyfriend? I don’t like either of them! It seems that Mouse doesn’t like Molly either. Why do you think he didn’t want to stay in the prison that night?
8.I felt bad for Michael and Charity. I didn’t like how Molly was talking to them and she'd been arrested for possession .You'd think with parents like that the child wouldn't go that path.Thoughts?
9.Any idea about what’s going in the convention? We have 3 mysteries so far , the Chrysler accident , the shadow sedan and the assault at the convention . Could they be related or are they 3 different things?

1. Gulp! After listening to the first few minutes of this book I had goose bumps all over me! The blood droplets and head rolling on the ground ...**shudders**. Anyway I was wondering about death curses, couldn’t he sent a death curse to Morgan? Or do the executioners have a way to protect themselves?
I’m with you, ShoSho; it was pretty gruesome. The kid was so very young. Good question about the death curse, though I don’t have the answer. If Wardens can keep blood off their cloaks, I guess they can deflect a death curse. I’m pretty sure Harry has been leery of them before.

That is who I’m thinking is the traitor, but maybe that is too obvious. However, I really don’t like how he is going about delivering whatever “message” he is trying to to Harry. Ugh.

These things have me baffled. Who was with Fix?

I’m thinking the Gatekeeper did know that Molly is somehow involved with Black Magic, but hopefully it is Nelson, not Molly.

I don’t know this, either! LOL! But, I’m thinking so. Did Gisela tell us last time that Thomas got a job, too? But maybe he has something else on his mind? He does seem preoccupied.

Yes, that was pretty neat. Do you think the phone call interrupted anything – or changed anything to do with Harry’s ritual – or even what cause Molly to call Harry? Though, latter he seems to think it was fortuitous that he was interrupted.

She seemed really, really scared; she’s so very young. I don’t know why Mouse doesn’t like her, unless he can smell Nelson on her and that who is the bad guy. Or maybe Mouse can smell the black magic on her? Eep! I think Nelson is up to something and that is why he needed to stay out of prison. It was more than just meeting with the director, Darby Crane, unless he’s involved, too.

LOL! Some – but not all - teenagers usually try to do the exact opposite of what they parents believe in. Or at least lean in that direction. You can only pray they come though those teenage years and somehow remember their good foundations after they are over. I’m baffled as to why Michael couldn’t detect the sign of Lasciel in Harry’s hand.

I think – if not all – then at least two of these things have to be related. I think the Chrysler accident was black magic, but used by whom? I don’t know. I don’t like that Mouse didn’t like the shadow figure in the white sedan. (♥Mouse♥) As to what actually happened to the bathroom to the screamer, Clark Pell? Not sure, other than black magic. And now there’s more screaming! Eep! I’m going to have to read the next chapter, or I won’t be able to sleep. LOL!
I did like the "An Innocent Bystander" badge. LOL!
Why did I think that reading the next chapter would help me sleep? LOL! Big Mistake.

Sorry but I'm a bit behind on this one. My dad took ill suddenly yesterday morning and I've been running back and forth between home and the hospital. I probably won't be able start listening until tomorrow and its going to take me longer than usual. I'll try to keep up though :0)

Question for Chapter 12-2210.Earlier Harry was thinking that Rawlins’ flash light was useless but that was what saved his life. Not a question really but it really stand out to me. But here is a question, who was that person that left the room right after Harry attacked the ripper and the lights came on? Anyone significant?

18.I really like Harry theory about the colors .I think it explains the boogeyman coming out of the movie. If you believe in it ,it's real .Something like that , what do you think?
ShoSho! Thanks so much for doing the DQs. I had the reading done before I went to pick my friends up from the airport. Then we went out to lunch. I stopped by the bookstore on the way home and picked up the next six books in this series. It must have been something I ate, which wasn’t vegan, because I got a migraine and gastro-intestinal pain. Here it is - the middle of the night - and I thought I’d post some DQs. It was so nice of you to have already done so.
Anyway, I’ll try to catch-up now and do today’s DQs, though I haven’t read the pages yet. Again, thanks!

But here is a question, who was that person that left the room right after Harry attacked the ripper and the lights came on? Anyone significant?
At first I was wondering if it was someone who was somehow controlling the Reaper/mad-murder. Then I re-read it and thought it was the Reaper/mad-murderer, himself. Then I realized the Reaper/mad-murderer when through the back wall, leaving only ectoplasmic goo, and decided it had to be my original thought.

I hadn’t thought of that. You could be right, since it feeds on fear.

I’m assuming you mean leave, not “live.” No, I didn’t want him to leave, either. (Even if their living space is pretty small!) I have no idea what his job is. I hope it is something he likes and isn’t degrading in any way. I thought that scene between the two of them was pretty touching.

Well, they certainly leave an impression, don’t they? I like that they’ve come into their own, so to speak. Are they a couple? That Titania is a piece of work! And Mab isn’t any better. Winter isn’t going to help against the Red Court vamps because they’d rather wait for Summer to make the first move so they can get revenge upon Summer instead? And they have imbalance of power issues, because the Winter Knight isn’t at full power – or isn’t exerting it, because he’s a prisoner. “Mab’s got a man in the penalty box.”

I didn’t realize there was a short novella about it. I’ll have to see if I can find it. I was surprised he had the nerve to answer Maeve that way, but I was proud of him. She asked; he answered. I’m sure the point hit home! (I hope.) I though her response intriguing, “I know now why Mab wants you.” !!! And I liked Harry’s “Evil Kinkstress” moniker he gave Maeve. LOL! And, yes, I think Mab is nutso.

I don’t know, but probably not the original Darby Crane? Something not human, that’s for sure. Maybe his touch would have seduced Murphy somehow? I trust Harry’s instincts. And he could have been ‘directing’ or controlling the Reaper/mad-murderer and not been in his room, if he snuck out of it. I don’t like Lucius Glau, his attorney (froggy), either.
17. Finally they talked about it! Did you expect them to talk about the possibility of them getting together? I don’t know what to ask but I’m sure you have tons to say about this, so …
LOL! Nope, I didn’t expect that! I’m glad they talked about ‘it,’ but wished they’d realized it could have been a possibility. I’m glad that Murphy said she wanted a family and someone to grow old with – that’s what I wanted. I can see why Harry was worried about having children, though.

No, ShoSho, I hadn't started on the DQs, luckily. (Well, in my head, when I was tossing and turning in bed. LOL!) Yes, switching back to meat is a hit or miss thing... mostly miss. I think this was especially bad because I ate all three - meat, fish, pork. Then had some high sugary baked goods at B&N. I don't eat much sugar anymore, either. It was, like, a quadruple whammy.

I stopped after chapter 25 last night and I don't think I'll have time to listen to it today. So I'll continue tomorrow. but it was so hard to stop at the end of 25.It killed me to stop.
