Petra | 3324 comments After going for a run this morning, then baking some cookies, I sat down to finish the graphic novel, Cages by Dave McKean Cages. At first, I wasn't sure whether I'd like this one(the story started out rather chaotically) but the storyline was still interesting, so I kept going and am glad that I did. It's a wonderful look at the isolated lives we can tend to live and yet how we affect the lives of others and are continually intertwined. I quite enjoyed it. The chaotic start was just to set the story.
This is a huge and heavy book that can only be read while at home. You don't want to tote this tome about. :D

I read that a while ago. 3 stars for me, too.
I would probably enjoy the TV adaptation more than I did the book - too many red herrings and for the life of me I can't remember whodunnit.

PattyMacDotComma I was reminded today that there are 2 more volumes to enjoy. :)
Autobiography of Mark Twain: Volume 1, Reader's Edition. Great reading - nobody writes like Twain.

I asked for it for Christmas the year it came out and loved it! This is what I said then:
