I have just finished the 9th book of the excellent Saxon series Warriors of the Storm (series which starts with The Last Kingdom ).It's been a while since I last read historical fiction. Mr Cornwell has reminded me how much I love the genre.
Just started Conqueror Series Collection: Wolf of the Plains, Lords of the Bow, Bones of the Hills. I hope it'll be as good as Cornwell's books.
I just finished The Wise Man's Fear. It was epic. I can't wait for the next one.Now I am reading Messenger of Fear. I got it as a giveaway here.
Hello! I am reading the 5th book of Kate Daniels series, Magic Slays.I loved the previous books. Also, I can't wait for the 5th book from "The Others" series, Anne Bishop.

Oh my goodness, I completely agree with your choices. I enjoy The Others a great deal, and Kate Daniels is one of my favorite series.
I'm currently reading Children of Earth and Sky by Guy Gavriel Kay. It is my 1st Kay novel and after 120 pages it's quite enjoyable. It seems to be his take on the Italian Renaissance. Pretty good so far.
I enjoy Kay a great deal. He seems to have mostly gone off the fantasy wagon, however. Is there much mystical/fantasy in it?
Talking about kay, I'm reading Tigana my third book by him after A Song for Arbonne and The Lions of Al-RassanI also enjoy Kay a great deal even if his stories are emotionally draining.
I haven't posted in awhile. I have recently read The Last Whisper in the Dark, Deal: My Three Decades of Drumming, Dreams, and Drugs with the Grateful Dead, Big Fish, The Golem and the Jinni, and The Sirens of Titan. Now I'm reading End of Watch.
I cannot settle on a book to read. I started Trudi Canavan's Angel of Stroms but I am not enjoying it as much as I have her past books. Any thoughts on how to push through?
I rarely end up happy with a book that I pushed through. Once or twice, though, I've set it aside to tackle later. At least, if I don't still have a grudge :)
It's hard! I try to pick my books by mood, so I always have a big stack of library books waiting for when I'm excited to read them (I'm usually excited when I request them, but it takes awhile).
I have a few real and kindle books on my "to read" list. I am waiting for Brandon Sanderson and Brent Weeks new books to come out.
Should finish The Republic of Thieves in a couple of weeks (group read (my first one)). About 20% through the audio book of Dan Brown's Inferno. Will try to start back on Gardens of the Moon soon (3rd time starting it, taking notes this time - story is great, but my old brain is having trouble keeping up with who is who and who are allies).
I've heard so much of Robin Hobb I decided to finally start reading Assassin's Apprentice I'm also almost done with with a book from a totally different genre: Elon Musk: Inventing the Future
I've heard great things about that series, Tara. I'm out of the genre at the moment too, reading a book about the Tarot.

It's really a good series have enjoyed the first two books, not so much the third book.

I'm finally reading my first Brandson Sanderson novel, he is an author I've wanted to read for a while now and like many books/authors I own I've been holding out on reading them. My brain does this whole lets save the best for last kind of thing, but alas why wait, why waste my time reading less then stellar books.
I recently read The Library at Mount Char, Undermajordomo Minor, and Eating the Dinosaur. Now, I'm reading The Tommyknockers.
Hm, I've heard such mixed reactions on The Library at Mount Char.I'm going to read The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet this weekend, either in a flash group read or at the group Beyond Reality. Possibly both. I'll link here if I flash group it.
I recently finished The Tommyknockers, To Build a Fire, and Twittering from the Circus of the Dead.I'm trying to figure out what to read next.
I'm reading two different books. I first ran into This Census-Taker by China Mieville at the library and was curious enough to check it out. After several reading sessions, it continues to put me to sleep, so I'm not making great progress. But there's another reason...a week later I was in the library again and saw A Borrowed Man by Gene Wolfe, and the description sounded intriguing, so I checked it out. It's good! And weird.
So I don't think the Mieville book will be picked up again until I'm finished with Gene Wolfe.
I finished Curse of the Mistwraith and The Gathering Storm. I am now reading New York 2140 by Kim Stanley Robinson which is definitely a Cli-Fi, but I'm not sure yet if it's a Sci-Fi.
MrsJ and I are reading A Closed and Common Orbit. Feel free to join us at a flash read group.https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
Recently finished Sheepfarmer's Daughter by Elizabeth Moon.Currently reading Dark Moon by David Gemmell.
I'm reading Teeth of the Gods . I like that the setting is different from the fantasy I've read, seems to be created out of India rather than Europe. The protagonist isn't likable, but I have hope that she'll grow up and stop being such a self-centered brat.
