Oh no! Actually, I can understand when being injured makes me not want to do anything, including my favorite things!

message 52: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 225 comments I tend to enjoy going for a walk more now days but this week I am so tired. and it seems when I am most tired its often when the wrist is aching the most. Its been bad the past several days again. (you can blame the cricket also its being played Australia v England in England so its overnight and someones mind says I need a score it ends 2.30am. I dont listen all night but tend to wake).
As much as I thought the wrist would be ok without seeing the spealist I now know its not. The anti inflammitory im on is causing high blood pressure so we are trying to reduce it but I can notice the difference so it definately needs more help.

message 58: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 225 comments ours needs more than a swift kick. its more the paper is getting damp I think and the fact it hate me!
I have to get my blood pressure checked and decided not to do it after doing the newsletter there. the clinic is over the road from my church.

I have liked Trish more than Lex. Trish seems more interesting, and I really like Spenser.

Trish was SO fun to write! I just made her say and do everything I would never say or do. :) And a lot of the house stuff was based on real stories from my roommate at the time, who had recently gone house hunting. Sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction!

message 79: by Ileana Tsai (new)

Ileana Tsai | 54 comments I have been laughing so much with your books. I really love how Trish worship God so freely. You had me rolling laughing when she poked a guy in the eye when she stretched her arms while worshiping. Now I am laughing about her aunt fixing all sort of weird things to eat while she is pregnant. My mom made me eat some beef kidney after I had my second child. It tasted horrible!!

Wow! I also have crazy roommate stories. Some times our own lives can be pretty interesting.

I didn't know about the weird food until my friend got pregnant and her mom made her eat all kinds of disgusting things! Of course I had to put that in a book one day!

Camy - Year of Wonders is definitely moving & very sad a times. Despite a strange ending, I do recommend it!

message 90: by Kim (new)

Kim | 33 comments I have been out of reading commission since the 17th of July till recently. It is not an myth apparently that you really can get your contact stuck to your cornea. I got my daily wear disposable contact glued on unslideable either direction in my left eye. Since I couldn't slide it partially off the eye, I just yanked the contact forward away from me. After an ER visit which led me to see an opthalmologist/eye surgeon, I found out my cornea stuck to the disposable contact and I threw my cornea in the trash with my contact. Apparently like your liver, if you have some cornea left your body grows it back. Heavenly Father made the human body amazing! So yeah I had horrible photosensitivity pain and loss of vision like I had a thick cloud blocking my vision till recently. Haven't been reading for awhile while I was a cyclops, but I got a package today from you Camy with an autographed copy of your book, that said, "Kim, always remember that you belong to the Lord-Camy". What a revelant message for me though you didn't know it. So this week I am reading FORMULA FOR DANGER as my first book I begin after regaining vision. Yay!!!

Yeah, there are a couple of super sad parts! And in general it's about the Plague, so just all around just not a happy subject. Her writings beautiful though and the story ends in a happier note. It's got a scene or two that I could have done without.
