I did not like this book at all ... I can't put my finger on what exactly made me dislike this book ... I think it's a combination of factors including the scenario; style of writing; characters; etc etc ... I don't think the book is bad, I just didn't like it ... although I wouldn't recommend it, I wouldn't actively discourage either ... Sorry! ... I know I'm not usually so 'nebulous' about my opinions on a book but this one just irritated for no apparent reason.

Words to describe this book ... gushing ... vapid ... sappy ... verbose ... saccharine ... fairy-tale-ish ... not my cup of tea.

I just found this book silly ... I really couldn't connect with the characters or the scenario at all ... I'm not sure if it was because I wan't in the mood but this book frustrated me instead of amusing me.

This was a fantastic premise for a book but there was just too much missing to actualize the potential. I found myself wondering why Gabriel ran?...how did he survive on the streets?...how did he know he 'should' be a werewolf?...how submissive was he prior to conversion?...why was his conversion so extraordinary?...had other humans been bitten?...what happened to the other humans if/when they were bitten?...how did the werewolf society work?...why wasn't Gabriel to be shared among the pack?...etc, etc, etc...

I was left deeply dissatisfied with the lack of development of the characters and the world Gregg devised. If this book were expanded and more background and character development included, it would be fantastic...as it stands, I felt let down by the shallow-ness of the story.
