Bridget (bridget224) | 66 comments Hey everyone, my older sister and I like to read together, and we're looking for a new book series to read. We have already read all of the Hunger Games series, as well as the Pretty Little Liars and The Lying Game series. I was wondering if someone would like to suggest a young adult book series similar to Pretty Little Liars: one that includes teenage love, maybe even a mystery book?
Or even a totally different series! Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks! (:

Kristie | 5929 comments I've heard Unwind is good also, but I haven't read it yet and The Fifth Wave is a new series, the first book just came out this year. I've only read the first few chapters of that one, but so far it's been really good.

And if you haven't read the Harry Potter books, you definitely should. I always assume everyone's already read them, but it has been brought to my attention that some people have not read the series yet!

ree | 24 comments The Lux series. Just finished the second book and ... wow :) Has a lot of action, sci-fi, the characters are well written, steamy, intense, and of course-- there's Daemon Black, the amazing looking guy on the cover. (if that's not enough to read it) these books are rated 4 plus stars for a reason. ;)

Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

message 26: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments If you want to go for Young Adult, have a look at the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. I really enjoyed those books, especially the first one.

This is the first book: The Amulet of Samarkand (The Graphic Novel) by Jonathan Stroud

Another series somewhere in between Young Adult and normal fantasy is the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan.

This is the first book: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28... (somehow it doesn't want to give me the cover for this one)

If you want to go for a series that isn't Young Adult, then I'd suggest The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks.

This is the first book: The Way of Shadows (Night Angel, #1) by Brent Weeks

And finally, another good series is the Study series by Maria V. Snyder. Personally, I devoured them.

This is the first book: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60...

Hope there's something in there for you! :-)

Kat | 84 comments Ziva wrote: "I'm currently reading The tiger saga by Colleen Houck and so far so good."

The Tiger Saga is an amazing series! Top notch in both romantic entanglement, mystery, fantasy, with a little offbeat mythology thrown in. Highly recommend!

Also, I would definitely look into the Chronicles of Nick series by Sherilyn Kenyon.
Of course Divergent is also hugely popular at the moment. And I second the recommendation for Graceling and Infernal Devices.

Cathy Maldonado (cathymaldonado) Fallen

message 47: by Mike (new)

Mike Jr. (michaeljwyantjr) I'm going to plug my own book series for fun:

Immortal, (The Sundering, #1)

There are some good reviews over at Amazon and one weird one here.

Quick pitch: "Alex Mamsin finds out he's immortal... Just as he finally kills himself."

message 48: by Mike (new)

Mike Jr. (michaeljwyantjr) Shoot... Missed the YA category. This may not fit.

Sorry. :-/
