Fantastic - I just reread the first four in the series on my way through all 30! (Only made it 4 in last time I tried, but they were really good and still are!)
Just started rereading The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany
by
William L. Shirer.
I'm currently reading Song of Susannah (first time through the DT series) and I've got The Long Walk audiobook on the go too.

To follow up on this I just finished Tick Tock and I really did enjoy it. Yeah the story is ridiculous and the ending was really silly but what I enjoyed the most about it was the humorous conversations between the characters, it reminded me a lot of the Odd Thomas series.
Now onto:

The funny thing about this book was that I didn't get the idea until part way through that this was more silly than horrifying - from that point on I just rolled with it! The coversations between the characters was great (if witty dialogue and humorous banter is what you are looking for).
Just got done reading Doctor Sleep by Stephen King its the 2nd part to his Shinning Series. It was Okay not as Great as the Shinning wasRight now I am in middle of reading Sinister by Lisa Jackson So far its very good book i am really into it.

If I didn't get the heads up about the book before hand I probably wouldn't have realized it either until far into the book.
I'm reading Perfected Sinfulness which I won in a gr giveaway, I couldn't put it down last night it's totally different from my usual kinda book
Annie wrote: "Just started The Da Vinci Code and so far I am loving it."An entertaining read. May I suggest Bart Ehrman's book "Truth and Fiction in the Da Vinci Code". I'm a history buff and a fiction writing major so it was cool to get a great story, but also keep the truth apart from the fiction. Enjoy!
Just finished Divergent and Sycamore Row. Both different but would give the edge to Sycamore for sure. Next Lone Survivor and then the Duck Dynasty books just for kicks.
Finished Mystic River
one of the best books I have ever read. I did not enjoy the film that much but the book was so great I will give the film another watch for sure.
I am reading LOCKE and KEY by JOE HILL (STEVE'S SON)it is in Graphic Novel form like THE DARK TOWER. I have enjoyed it immensely.I'm also reading HEART SHAPED BOX (JOE HILL).
I am reading Jonathan Kellerman's newest, "The Killers," "The Giver," by Lois Lowry, "Gone Girl," by Gillian Flynn, and Alexander McCall Smith's "The Minor Adjustmet Beauty Salon." So far all are very good, and most very well written! I recommend all four.
Tonight I just finished reading Innocence by Dean Koontz. Very good book! I'm now reading The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman & Red Mist by Patricia Cornwell.
In this moment I'm reading The Chase, the first book of another good series by Clive Cussler and also InterWorld, amazing novel by Neil Gaiman.
I'm still reading The Da Vinci Code. I wanted to check in and see people's thoughts on audible books. What apps do you use? I was thinking of trying it sometime!
Annie wrote: "I'm still reading The Da Vinci Code. I wanted to check in and see people's thoughts on audible books. What apps do you use? I was thinking of trying it sometime!"I just started reading "audible" on my kindle using the immersion reading. I have really enjoyed it, and get through more books by listening to them on my commute to work.
That's what I was thinking of doing. I thought I could read double if I started. I downloaded audible but it seems confusing. Going to look at it again when I have more time.
I just started the novel S. today by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst. It's very interesting but completely overwhelming. Has anyone read or heard of this?
Dave wrote: "I just started the novel S. today by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst. It's very interesting but completely overwhelming. Has anyone read or heard of this?"Never heard of it, but I admit to being suspicious of books written by two authors. I quit James Patterson years ago for that reason. At least he acknowledges his ghosts, but the whole thing has the smack of "sleaze" attached. The Staub/King venture bothered me too.
Annie wrote: "I'm still reading The Da Vinci Code. I wanted to check in and see people's thoughts on audible books. What apps do you use? I was thinking of trying it sometime!"I use iTunes on my iPod with books downloaded via override from my public library. Lots of audio books there.

Hey Paula - I tried to imagine how King and Straub worked together and could never figure it out. Couldn't decide who did what. Then I started writing books with a partner. We've written 3 books together and I know that it CAN work. We talk about the story and the events that unfold then I go away and do all the writing. My partner isn't a writer, he's a storyteller, so it's not like I write a few and he does a few. Also our characters are Hispanic, which I am not, so he offers the cultural perspective.
Wanted to give a new author a try so read Chasing Innocence
a good way to kill spare time but nothing special.Peter wrote: "Cabinet of Curiosities"
Loved the Pendergrast series at least till book 7 though it has become very average as of late. Hope you enjoy the book.
Just finished Around The World in 80 Days and I loved it!!I guess I will be reading more Jules Verne in the future ;)
Now reading The Wonders of Life by Professor Brian Cox
Just finished a re-read of The Breathing Method from Different Seasons, thanks to a comment by Squire. I liked it much better this time. I'll post a review. Also reading Enchantress Mine, a historical romance novel by Beatrice Small, thanks to H for recommending, Still listening to the e-book of Duma Key with my wife and warning her that it's going to get very scary pretty soon. Also, about to start Memories of my Melancholy Whores by Gabriel Garcia Marques.
Finished Lirael about an hour ago, just been checking on here, and now about to start Clockwork Angel
