Such a good book!
I am a little over half way through A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold :) x
I'm currently reading the owl service by Alan garner. It has a lot of bad reviews on here but I'm actually really enjoying it so far. It's very mystical and fast paced. Let's hope the ending is just as good!
I just finished Joyland and loved it. Quick and just fun. It helps that I work at a park right now. Haha.Currently I'm in the middle of Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. I can't put it down!
Nick wrote: "Okay, Scott, check out my blog about my friendship with Ray Bradbury. Just click on me."That was a neat read. It's great that you were able to take something away from the meetings with him.
Started my first Agatha Christie novel last night! My mom is a huuuuge fan of hers and has been begging me to read one of her novels since I was about 12.

Could not agree more about the movie a brilliant & under-rated film. I am yet to read the book but if it is as good as the movie it would be a great read.
Just finished King and Maxwell by David Baldacci, 5 stars. Now moving on to Cut to the Bone: A Body Farm Novel by Jefferson Bass, which is a prequel to the Body Farm series.
Finished House by Ted Dekker & Frank Peretti, a sub-par supernatural thriller. Will get back to reading King with Needful Things.
finished jo nesbo the devil's star it was very good, now i'm finally reading 11/22/63 its gonna take a while :-)
Right now I'm reading Portnoy's complaint by Philip Roth.....it's quite a journey into someone's mind....pretty soon I'll be back reading King with Full Dark no Stars...

easily one of the best science fiction books in history...

I agree, Andrea. I thought this book was so much better than the movie.

The Book Thief, Black House, A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold, Magician and a random chick lit that isnt listed properly on here.
I just hated the misuse of the I am legend concept they did in the movie...they made it really cheesy, when in the book brought so much meaning and depth...
Rhian wrote: "finished jo nesbo the devil's star it was very good, now i'm finally reading 11/22/63 its gonna take a while :-)"I read "The devil's star" last year this book and I liked very much the story and also the author's style. Unfortunately I missed the previous books, so I lost some critical events and now I have some information that could ruin my reading of the previous books.
I started
last Friday and so far it's been great. It's thick but I'm having a hard time putting it down.
Steve wrote: "I started

I am starting Doctor Sleep, today. I just finished The Abominable by Dan Simmons, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I've started my first trek through IT and I'm reading back through The Fellowship of the Ring. I'm also sprinkling in some stories from Night Shift.
I've read Clive barker's Books of Blood but none of his other novels. What is your consensus so far?
Steve wrote: "I've read Clive barker's Books of Blood but none of his other novels. What is your consensus so far?"I also had never read anything other than one of the Books of Blood but I am really enjoying this book. People are right when they say it's hard to classify it. It is not horror but I am not sure there is a category for it. So far though, I'm loving it! Even if it turns out badly in the second part, he has my attention and I will read more by him.
Annie wrote: "I am reading Life of Pi by Yaan Martel"I've read it last year and was a pleasant surprise.
I am reading
, almost half way through. I have been listening to the audio version on my way to work and enjoying the narrative.
Steve wrote: "I started

Tim wrote: "I am starting Doctor Sleep, today. I just finished The Abominable by Dan Simmons, which I thoroughly enjoyed."Tim. I really enjoyed Doctor Sleep and catching up with Danny Torrance after all these years. What did you think of Abominable? I really like Dan Simmons. But, I haven't picked that one up yet.
The Book Thief, Black House, Magician, Framed, A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold & NOS4A2I read a lot ;)

I have read The Terror and Hyperion series. I have loved them all. Each of his books are very different. Terror is historical fiction, while Hyperion is Sci fi at its best. Hyperion is a quick read, I'd recommend giving it a try.
andrew I started the nesbo books from the redbreast which is the third in the series its definitely worth your time to go back to them

Aaron, I just read Cross My Heart recently and loved it. It felt like it was getting back to the basics of what the series used to be.

I'm reading Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire. She is such a good writer, don't care what anybody else sais because i've heard many actually say the opposite and it blows my mind. She literally paints a clear image in the readers head and it's very easy to follow.

Thankyou! My Aunt and I are both huge readers but hardly ever read the same material and eventually she forced me to try out Anne Rice by buying me a lot of her books. I hope you enjoy The Demonologist as well, i just read the summary on it and it's very catchy.
Andrew wrote: "Now I'm reading American Gods."I loved that book, Neil Gaiman is such a great author, I heard they may be making it into a movie or a series.
