Just finished The Godwulf Manuscript, by Robert B. Parker, the first in the Spenser series. Good fiction, bad fashion.

I finished Killer by Jonathan Kellerman last night. It was another enjoyable Alex Delaware book for me. I have started NYPD Red 2 by James Patterson. It's starting off pretty well.

I just found a copy of that book. I'm looking forward to it.
Just finished "National Security"
by Marc Cameron.5 Stars is for a Perfect book. This one, although it was a great read, got only 4 Stars from me. Reason is - somewhere after page 200, it seems as if the author, tried to fill up some pages with boring side stories , that we could do without, but I guess that a book with only 300 pages needed some fillings.
Also, I couldn't find any reason for the main hero in the book, to call upon his brother and his gang to help him out. Come on. In his position, he could call in all the CIA an FBI. So why call his brother.
Any way, although it is not a Vince Flynn level, It was quite entreating, and readable. I will most definitely try his next book with the same hero

Just finished I Remember You: A Ghost Story. One of the best books I have read this year.

Enjoying Frozen Heat by Richard Castle. Noticed Free giveaway on Death Never Sleeps EJ Simon. Book 1 sequel this summer. One of my favorites. A really fun and exciting read
I'm now well into
The Hunt for Atlantis by Andy McDermott, a recommendation through GR, and its the first in a series and my first with this author. I'm enjoying it. I'm also enjoying And Then There Were None
, another of Agatha Christie's great works.
I just finished Kill You Twice by Chelsea Cain. I still find Archie and Gretchen's relationship disturbing. I don't like the neighbor that showed up out of the blue. I think Susan needs to give up on Archie.
Finished Death Never Sleeps EJ Simon. finishing Frozen Heat Richard Castle... Both could and cannot put down

Let me know your thoughts! I just finished it and enjoyed it. Also didn't know that it won the Edgar for Best First Novel.
I finished NYPD Red 2 by James Patterson last night, excellent. I liked it even better than the first one, which was also very good. I have started 15 Seconds by Andrew Gross. I have only read books by him that he co-wrote with James Patterson, a couple of them being Women's Murder Club books. I hope this one that is written by Gross alone will be as good.

15 Seconds is a great book. Hope you enjoy it.

Have gone completely nuts this week & downloaded a ton of Ed McBain, although I'm more interested in his few stand alone novels than his '87th Precinct ' novels; Charles Williams, Charles Willeford, Jussi Adler-Olsen, Cornell Woolrich, Peter May, Harry Turtledove, Robert Harris (the only one of his i haven't read), James Cain, a biography of Patricia Highsmith by Andrew Wilson... whew!
I finished Saints of the Shadow Bible by Ian Rankin. John Rebus, previously retired, is once again a detective in Scotland, supervised by his previous subordinate DI Siobhan Clarke. They're investigating a car accident in which Jessica Traynor was injured. Jessica claims she was alone in the crashed car but the cops suspect her boyfriend, son of the Justice Minister, was driving. Meanwhile, Rebus and his former colleagues are being investigated for misconduct by Inspector Malcolm Fox. Fox is looking into a 30-year-old case in which a murderer, Billy Saunders, escaped prosecution because the shady cops mishandled the case. Rebus's former colleagues pressure him to deflect the investigation but Rebus feels compelled to find the truth. Before long a robbery leaves the Justice Minister in a coma, Billy Saunders disappears, illegal drugs get involved, and a mummified dead body appears. Good mystery with well-liked characters.
Currently I'm reading Lending a Paw: A Bookmobile Cat Mystery by Laurie Cass. It's an adorable cozy about a librarian who drives the bookmobile every week and her cat who accompanies her. At her last stop on the first trip her cat leads her to the dead body of the man who wrote the check funding the bookmobile. So far it's been good.I just finished In the Blood by Lisa Unger. It's a psychological thriller about a troubled college student who takes a job babysitting an emotionally-disturbed 11-year-old boy. It was superb--I gave it 5 stars.
I finished Hickory Dickory Dock by Agatha Christie. Hercule Poirot is asked to investigate a rash of theft and vandalism at a boarding house for students and young workers. The items involved seem random - a ring, a scarf, a backpack, light bulbs, eye wash, etc. - but Poirot suspects a sinister motive may underlie the incidents. When Poirot threatens to call in the cops a young woman confesses to some of the thefts but claims innocence of the other incidents. Pretty soon several people connected to the boarding house are dead and residents' secrets are exposed. To me this seemed like one of Agatha Christie's less developed plots with not quite believable motivation for the characters. Still, it was an entertaining light mystery.
Recently read Harlan Coben's latest, Missing You. Not among his best, but still well worth the read! 4 stars

Sorry, but what you're describing sounds like piracy to me - not to mention that many of these types of sites are pure phishing sites and extremely dangerous to computer security. I note you can't see anything until after registration.
I've flagged your post and would request that Mods delete.

Thanks for mentioning this. It sends up an immediate red flag.
I'm currently reading Murder on Astor Place by Victoria Thompson, Gently Down the Stream by Alan Hunter and Parade's End by Ford Madox Ford

can't decide what to read next."Would you recommend Hushabye, Mary?"
It was ok for a freebee but the last few books I have read were so much better at keeping my attention, Before Hushabye I read Lisa Unger's in the Blood. and The Silent Wife, both of which Got in the character's head, so you feel like you really knew the characters.

Whatever.
OMG, I won a copy of Eeny Meeny - M.J. Arlidge on Goodreads Giveaway as well as a copy of Take Mum Out - Fiona Gibson. What a wonderful early birthday presents too.
Currently reading A Clockwork Orange. A dystopian thriller classic which, I think, should be read by every modern youth.
Just finished Andy McDermott's The Hunt For Atlantis
based on recommendations from our group. And thanks guys - I really enjoyed it! Eager to start 2nd in the series, but after I give Graham Brown's Black Rain
a try. (Another new author for me to explore based on you guys.) :-)
Recently finished one of Laura Lippman's stand alones, Life Sentences. Multiple voices. I listened to it on audio as I was driving home from a vacation. The question is asked: what gives a writer the right to write a given story?
I finished up 15 Seconds by Andrew Gross, and I didn't care for it. I think it would have been a better story if it had been told by a different author. Now starting Desperation by Stephen King.
I just started
The Darkness & the Deep by Aline Templeton. Second in series; pretty good Scottish police procedural, IMO.
I've just finished Tragically Flawed - A.M. Hargrove. Now I am about to read Tragic Desires - A.M. Hargrove.
Reading now: The Son, by Jo Nesbo. It came two days ago & I'm dropping everything to start this one.
I just finished
The Queen of Bedlam. I was looking for another of his books but was not available so I grabbed this one. I'm glad I did, what a great mystery set in 1700's Manhattan, I will be reading his other books soon!
