Done reading Split Second by David Baldacci I really loved the book good start for the series going try to read the rest of the series

Also got done reading After Dark by Phillip Margolin I loved it! I so couldnt put it down it was a very good Court room myster! I love his books

Now I am going start on the last book this week which is called The Face by Dean Koontz

Just finished reading Codename: Chimera. I don't know what to say. The book was pretty bad. I generally only review books that I like so I don't want to write a review of this book. However, I did say that I would write a review when the author sent me a copy of the ebook. Not a good place to be.

The above mentioned book was Codename: Chimera . I really can't recommend the book.

I have Wild Fire by Nelson DeMille on my shelf but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. I'll post my thoughts when I have. I have heard many good things about DeMille so I think I would feel happy about any comparison.

I finished Vendettaby Michael Dibdin, the second Aurelio Zen mystery. Zen gets involved in solving the murder of a millionaire whose house had super high security protection. Good book with lots of twists and action. I hope the Italian justice system isn't really as crooked as depicted in the Zen books :)

It wasn't bad, Kathryn, I just didn't like it as much as the others. I tend to get a little tired of recurring characters and I read Wild Fire last.

I just finished it too - I thought it was a great read. I've also read her Garnethill trilogy - wonderful stuff. I like the way she doesn't spoon feed the reader information, we have to figure things out for ourselves. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Just finished Mission to Paris by Alan Furst. All the familiar Furstian tropes, atmosphere and attitudes, which may lead to some deja vu if you're a regular. Four stars if you've never read Furst before; three stars if you have.

I focussed on Ian Fleming books a couple of months ago, trying to rereading some of the Bond books I'd enjoyed as a youngster. It's an entertaining series.

I'm reading Dog on It by Spencer Quinn, a mystery about a missing girl. The detective duo consists of Bernie Little and his dog Chet - who narrates the story. I love mysteries narrated by animal buddies :)

My whole family reads the Chet and Bernie mysteries. It's a must-read for dog lovers.

I finished a Hard Case Crime book, Money Shot by Christa Faust. A quick read and nice, gritty, fun escapism.

Started reading Target Lancer by Max Allan Collins. It is the latest book in the Nathan Heller series. I have enjoyed this series immensely. I have read and reviewed all of the other books in the series so far.

Just finished Creatures of Appetite which was probably a 4-star read except for a couple of issues for me ... first, the lead female law enforcement character was one of the "stock" psychologically damaged types, which is becoming all too common and something that I find annoying ... and second, I hated the ending.

Not sure what will be next, but hopefully something not as dark. However, readers that like the Hannibal Lecter series will probably like this but it isn't for me.

The curiosity is killing me - so I started The Cuckoo's Calling last night. I'm only 15% in but enjoying it thus far - there have been several snarky quips which made me chuckle. The synopsis of The Casual Vacancy didn't really grab me, so this is my first non-Harry Potter read by Rowling. So far, so good....
