Currently Reading? Just Finished? 2013 and on
Just finished Case Histories. The plot was kind of all over the place. Since I listen to most books it was, at times, a trifle hard to follow. I kept wanting to page backwards, but of course it's a bit more difficult to do that with an audiobook. Still, it was an interesting listen.I really liked the protagonist, and since there are three more books in this series, I will probably purchase the other books. I wonder if the characters in the later books are as bizarre as the ones in "Case Histories". They make our eccentric folk here in the South look like rank amateurs!

Now I'm circling back through classics I've somehow missed. Why did no one tell me John D. MacDonald was so good? Why!

I really liked
The Deep Blue Good-By but haven't had the chance to read anymore in the series.

It was excellent. I just noticed that there is a second season coming out finally too.. woooo hooooo! Also please feel free to comment on out Group Read Thread as Case Histories is one of the books selected for the May to June Group Read... :0)
I recently finished The Affair by Lee Child and now I'm almost done with The Crypt Thief: A Hugo Marston Novel by Mark Pryor. I usually read books set in the U.S. or Great Britain, but I am enjoying this new series set in Paris.
I finished reading
this morning. I enjoyed the book; yet I thought Blood Land was better. I do like Guthrie's writing style and I still love Sheriff Pruett. I look forward to a sequel.
I just finished The Passage and am looking forward to reading The Twelve. Currently I'm reading a cozy mystery called Antiques Knock-Off.

I have mixed feelings on Kinsey and Me: Stories. I enjoyed the Kinsey Millhone stories but not the rest of the book. I thought it a bit depressing.

I just finished A Faint Cold Fear
and boy, did it end with me saying "Wow!" I can't say I cared for one of the main character's in this book. I didn't like the direction that the author took her in, however, it made the story that much more interesting.I'm going to take a short break from this series to continue working my way to through Lisa Gardner's FBI series with Quincy and Rainie. I started The Killing Hour
this morning. There are only 6 books in this series so hopefully I get it finished soon!
I just finished
. I enjoyed the book and the insights into the libary system, Tourette's, LDS (Latter Day Saints), and a variety of other topics. *Warning*: There is swearing in this book, but it is not pervasive.
I just finished
I really enjoyed learning about the Armenian genocide, it's a bit of history that not a lot of people are aware of.Now I'm starting
I finished Wrong Hill to Die On: An Alafair Tucker Mystery by Donis Casey, a mystery set in Arizona in the WWI era. After various convoluted shenanigans involving Mexican immigrants, infidelity, Hollywood movie productions, keeping women "in their place", etc. the ending really didn't ring true. Only a fair book for me. 3 stars

I really liked the Sandcastle Girls and I had voted
for it to be a Group Reading.
Just finished Hit and Run and started The Glass Rainbow. Two of my favorite authors and favorite series. The way the Block ended, though, left me thinking it could be the last one in that series.
Chris wrote: "Just finished Under the Dome. Going to start I, Michael Bennett by James Patterson tomorrow."
I, Michael Bennett is my favorite in that series. After finishing it, I can't wait to see what happens in the next.

I finished The Hit by David Baldacci. Another enjoyable read by Mr. Baldacci. I'm now reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I heard the movie is coming out soon so I better get started. LOL
The crime drama will be based on best-selling author David Baldacci's popular characters Sean King and Michelle Maxwell. Baldacci is a consultant on the 10-episode series, which is being produced by CBS Television Studios. It's slated to premiere this summer.
TNT has announced premiere dates for returning shows and new series. Look for “King & Maxwell” on June 10 at 10 pm ET/9 pm CT.
I've finished The Morganville Vampires Book Thirteen: Bitter Blood - Rachel Caine. Now I am going to read Hyde, an Urban Fantasy - Lauren Stewart.
I'm currently reading and enjoying, The Eagle of the Ninth Chronicles (the second story in the trilogy; The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie and just started Thunderball.
I haven't been doing the group reads lately and feel lost...then again I think I had read a few of them already and thats how I got sidetracked. I'm on a big Robert Crais kick. I just read all the Elvis Cole books, and went right on into the Joe Pike series. I start 4 today and don't know what I'll do since that is the last. Usually with a light read like this I alternate the heavier books and use these as the pick me uppers, but I've enjoyed them so much I've just kept going with them.I have Iris Johannsen's Taking Eve waiting for me, along with quite a few that have been mentioned above. Guess I better finish up with Crais. If you haven't read his they really are good. Easy, with lots of sarcastic wit that I just love. Don't know how I've missed him all these years.

. I've never read anything from Ridley Pearson but I'll give it a shot."I really enjoyed Ridley Pearson's entire Lou Boldt and Daphne Matthews series set in Seattle. I was very sad when it came to an end in 2004. Very addictive for a couple of decades!
I have really enjoyed reading S.J. Rozan's Lydia Chin & Bill Smith PI series over the years. I'm up to #9 out of the 11 books written so far. I have noticed a number of the titles have been re-released under different names, so I recommend you follow the series listing on Goodreads to avoid doubling up. http://www.goodreads.com/series/50718... (Not that rereading any of these would be a hardship - well worth the time spent in any case!)
I finished Blood Harvest yesterday, by S.J. Bolton. Exceptional! My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I would like it, but I liked it alot. It's worth the read as it is slick and smart. It tells us alot about
Minneapolis, the news media in a favorable light which
doesn't usually agree with my thinking, but Kramer who
has been in the business shows us a good view into what
goes on, etc. The mystery is fun also. Don't let this one slip by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
