Hi, Paisley - Hope you have fun with your first PIFM! I enjoyed going through your shelves, picked up a few ideas that I need to add to my own (like I need any assistance there…). As you can see, I have trouble limiting my picks, so you have plenty to choose from – hopefully you’ll find some you like!

1. Jill Shalvis/Pamela Clare - Lucky in Love – you liked the first two books in the series, so why not continue the series? Tigerland – I just read Tigers and Devils this month and loved it, so if you would be interested in a buddy read of this one and don’t mind waiting until later in the month, I would be happy to read it with you. I didn’t see much (if any) romantic suspense on your shelves, so I thought I’d recommend a couple of my favorites – Extreme Exposure is the first book in a great series and probably the weakest, but still very good, and The Darkest Hour is intense, emotional, and just plain wonderful.

2. Lisa Kleypas/Gail Carriger - Not much in the way of historical or steampunk on your shelves, but I did find one – The Actor and the Earl. I don’t know anything about it, but it’s on your preferred shelf so I went with it! A couple of my favorites in these categories are The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, and Soulless. And I just finished Andrew Grey’s Of Love series and thought it was great, and I think my favorite might have been the first book, A Taste of Love.

3. Lara Adrian/Patricia Briggs - Another category that it doesn’t look like you read much, but you did have Cursed on your preferred shelf. Also, not in the category but the author’s name has the right initial, Fish & Chips by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux - Ty and Zane…what more can I say? Fifteen Shades of Gay by T. Baggins is way better than the name indicates, and a paranormal option that is again one of my favorites is Dragon Bound.

4. Lorelei James/Amy Lane - And finally, the category that gave me no trouble at all! ;) From your preferred shelf: Offside, which I just read this month and liked a lot, and Super Sock Man – another one that I’d be happy to read with you. And new to you: A Reason To Believe – a bit of paranormal and suspense rolled together with a sweet love story, and Let's Hear it for the Boy – we’re reading this in our m/m buddy read for May, and would love it if you joined the party!

Your TBR-Night Pleasures I see you enjoyed the first book in the Dark Hunter Series. The second is even better but a bit darker in tone.
New to You-Storm Front This is basically an Urban Fantasy book. I so loved it that after I read it I got it on audiobook and had to re-read it that way. This was the initial book that the TV series Dresden Files was based on.

OK, so most people know that I have severe OCD when it comes to reading a series in order. I was havin' some fun, picking through your shelves, and then I realized you read #s 26, 27 and 29.5 of the In Death series, but nothing else. LOL, that's just wrong woman! Maybe you haven't added all your books to your lists?
I've chosen two from you and two from me for each category... and they're all firsts ;)

1. Jill Shalvis/Pamela Clare:
a) He Loves Lucy ~ Very sweet story
b) The Next Always ~ You're a Nora Roberts fan, I recently listened to this series on audio and fell in love
c) On Dublin Street ~ I loved both the H and h in this story, very sexy read.
d) Warprize ~ This fantasy may be a little out of the box for you, but it's one of my all time favorite stories. Just beware that it's the first of a true trilogy.


2. Lisa Kleypas/Gail Carriger
a) Soulless ~ This series has a little of everything in it and it's a fun read.
b) Where Dreams Begin ~ I love Lisa Kleypas and this is one of my favs.
c) Once and Always ~ This is one of my all time favorite HR novels.
d) Silent in the Grave ~ I noticed that you're a mystery fan on top of a HR fan and this is a nice combo of both.


3. Lara Adrian/Patricia Briggs
a) The Last Werewolf ~ This book just sticks with me. Definitely more horror than PNR, but theres a nice underlying romantic thread.
b) A Discovery of Witches ~ Long, but very good.
c) Angelfall ~ I LOVED this book and I picked it based on your high rating of Daughter of Smoke & Bone.
d) Dragon Bound ~ Strong willed, feisty heroine meets uber alpha male Hero. Pretty much can't go wrong.


4. Lorelei James/Amy Lane
a) Long Hard Ride ~ You don't seem to be a big fan of erotica, but look what I found on your TBR, a perfect fit. IMO, this is true erotica, but the subsequent novels are more Erotic Romance.
b) Fifty Shades of Grey ~ Don't worry about all the crazy hype surrounding this series, just sit back and enjoy it :)
c) Naked in Death ~ I know this does not quite fit but had to put this somewhere in my recs and the author's last name starts with "J" ;)
d) Passion ~ Let's add some serious heat to that HR we both love so much.

Cowgirl Up and Ride by Lorelei James (although is book 3 in the series you can read it as a standalone and I think is better than the first two)

1. Jill Shalvis/Pamela Clare
1. The Rocky Road to Romance by Janet Evanovich is a sweet, humorous love story. Just wait until you see what the hero has to buy because he got a dog.
2. Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie (although you can't go wrong with any of her books). I was surprised she wasn't on your TBR. All her books have quirky characters, but this one is more of a mystery than most so I thought you might like it best.
3. Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. Total alpha-male dragon who hunts down a thief and falls in love. Great story.

4. Second Sight by Amanda Quick. This starts the Arcane series, and JAK in all her incarnations is my favorite author.
5. On the Edge by Ilona Andrews has a very close knit family and Rose's relationship with her younger brothers was one of my favorite parts.
6. A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. Great start to a new series. I love the Valkyries.
7. The Marriage Test by Betina Krah. I like the way Julia had made a plan for herself and that she was strong and independent.

8. Summon the Keeper by Tanya Huff. I love the humor in this book (such as Hell talking to itself) and all the different guests that drop by.
9. Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks. Great start to a great series. Lily is a cop who has null magic (can detect the presence of magic) and when she meets her latest murder suspect, Rule (a werewolf) she runs into trouble.
10. Sealed with a Curse by Cecy Robson. The sisters in this book have slightly twisted powers, which I found intriguing.
11. It Takes a Witch by Heather Blake. A paranormal mystery where magic is done by crafters of different types.

12. Deadly Descendant by Jenna Black. The beginning is confusing as Nikki doesn't know what is going on so neither do we, but the world is an interesting take on the descendants of ancient gods.
13. Every Demon Has His Day by Cara Lockwood. I really liked the idea that all demons are based on one of the seven deadly sins.

TBR: Seduction and Snacks - Initial S. I didn't connect with the humor in this one, but MANY people have. You might consider giving this one a try.
New: The Mane Event - Shelly Laurenston is one of my favorite authors. She's always good for a laugh and this remains one of my favorite series to date. :)

2. Lisa Kleypas/Gail Carriger:
TBR: Romancing Mister Bridgerton - This is my favorite book from the Bridgerton series. Julia Quinn is one of my favorite historical authors.
New: Simply Sexual - Initial K. This is a pretty hot series from Kate Pearce. Warning, it contains m/m/f action.

New: Dark Lover - One of the first books I think of when I hear Paranormal Fantasy.
