LOL! :-) Good to know! There WILL be a quiz here in Finland in July and everyone who passes it will get chocolate and cake. ;-)

Fun post, they mix well those two
I wonder if we can poke them into co-writing something

I don't know if even that could cheer me up.
After seeing/hearing the numbers, I thought that maybe I'm too old to learn even just some words of a new language...

Don't worry, dear. While I was reading Michael Nava's The Death of Friends today there were these lines that made me smile (somewhere around 75% through):
"That's not true," I said, quickly. "You had me followed up there."
She looked at me as if I was speaking Finnish. "What are you talking about?"
So, apparently you aren't the only one thinking that Finnish is a challenging language to learn and to understand. ;-)

Yay, I'm fortunately not allergic to virtual chocolate :D

Why, are you allergic to real chocolate?!?

Why, are you allergic to real chocolate?!?"
Yes :-(
I stop breathing
I miss chocolate

Thanks, at least it's fairly easy to avoid getting chocolate by accident, my mom has the same allergy with tomatoes

That's also bad, and more tricky to avoid.

Oh, no!
I'm allergic to walnuts, but I don't like them anyway. :D
I just bought Holly Lisle's How to Create a Language Clinic. So, I will be creating a language for my sci-fi novella All For Pazu. A friend of mine recommended this last night as a way to help world building.
Eek. I'm terrible at other languages, learning them, that is. However, creating one, this looks really easy? I hope so. I want this novella to do really well, and to be the best that it can be.

Thanks! I might need it!
Thanks! I might need it!

That sounds like fun. Good luck with it!
I'll let you guys know how it goes. I think it'll be a little hard/more interesting only because I've already written the novella, and I've already got names for my main characters, so I've got to work those names into the language, or make the language work around those names. :-P
I feel awful about this, but because of my deadline this week, I was not able to take part in any of the Pride promotions Carina set up.
However, here's where the party was...and there may still be some interesting conversation and goodies!

Looks like it was a fantastic effort on the part of some great readers and bloggers.
It killed me to have to miss out.

Looking good, Josh!
Thank you for posting the link, dear Hambel!
It's always so lovely to discover one of Josh's snippets — and every time equally torturing. Sweet, sweet torture. ;-)

Josh's an awful tease, right?

@Hambel: Thanks for the link! That was a nice surprise tonight.:-)
Squee! I like this. I'm not sure I've read anything yet with this type of idea, at least not in MM anyway. :-)

No probs. I was so chuffed to see it that I just had to share :D

Me too, me too! I was so charmed by that book. I experienced it first as an audiobook, and it was so much fun.

A lot of the charm (writing it) was the setting. But I think I have a good replacement setting for it. ;-)

Thank you, Sammie. With the exception of switching a couple of projects around, I think this turned out to be a pretty good schedule for me -- and hopefully for readers.
And it is an undeniable pleasure to be working on stories that I planned for so long. These are all novels I really have been looking forward to.

I loved the setting in TGWYS, simply perfect! i'm patiently very curious now about the new setting :-)

Very summery. Mmmm. I dream of January...(Summer for me.)

Given the discussion we've been having on Mexican Heat, I was interested to see Josh refer to another co-writing experiment!

http://www.prismbookalliance.com/2014......"
Well, more of a collaboration really, isn't it? In Stranger Things there's artwork to accompany the story, which is wonderful! but that's not co-writing, at least not my understanding of co-writing. An awesome project nonetheless, and great interview.

I didn't mean his collaboration with Catherine. In the interview, Josh said:
"A friend and I tried to write something together last year. We got a few chapters in and realized it just wasn’t going to happen, so I have my chapters and prologue. I love the concept and I loved my prologue, but I don’t really know what to do with it."
