After everything that has happened between them and the loss of Jem, I would have liked her to have given us a little of their relationship instead of her jumping into Will dying and her finding Jem. I would have also liked for her to explore Jem and Tessa's relationship. Their love stories were just so beautiful I will she would have showcased that. I'm only asking because I loved Will and Jem evenly, and so I was curious if your frustration was because you'd been pulling for Will the whole time and got gypped. I know that Jem fans felt that they got gypped because it ended without them reading (view spoiler)[any real time with her getting to be with Jem (hide spoiler)].

And then it makes me wonder if people like Stacia and I who loved that the three of them were a perfect triangle of love, not loving one more than the other, thought the ending was perfect....

Me, personally, I loved them both. I just didn't like how the epilogue was done. If she was going to give us a (view spoiler)[Jem and Tessa teaser it should have been done in a novella as an actual story so they got time together and not literally right after seeing Tessa and Will hook up finally. I just felt like it was poor taste the way she did it. (hide spoiler)] Do I make sense? lol

Makes total sense. I absolutely see your point. I guess the reason why I asked was because I do understand why you feel that way. (view spoiler)[I feel like I should too, because while I loved that they all loved each other equally, and I loved both Will and Jem, I thought (and was happy with) she would end up with Will. But the way she wrote the story way surpassed my expectations. I thought she'd just 'choose' and that would be the end, because that's how most books like this go. The way I said 'the one she chose (I thought Will) would end up immortal, the other a Silent Brother, and they'd live happily ever after'. The ending surprised me because I thought it was so perfect. That she gets to have a bit of happiness with the both of them in her long long long life. It was the perfect mixture of sad and happy. I was smiling and crying at the same time. Like, we saw how beautiful her life with Will was and how she loved him till the end. And now she gets to have the same with Jem, until he too dies and leaves her. Beautifully bittersweet (hide spoiler)].

So I guess that's why I was asking, because I feel like I SHOULD feel that way too, but I didn't.

(view spoiler)[The one major issue I had with the ending was that after Will died Tessa left her children and grandchildren because she didn't want to watch them die. I am not sure that was in her character to do that. Could someone really leave their children knowing they would die and you would have to watch? Yeah, I thought about that too Marcella. Especially (view spoiler)[because it was BEFORE any of them died. I mean, in the Iron Druid chronicles he's 2000 years old, or more, and he stayed with his kids for a long time. It was after many of his family were dying and he wasn't growing older that he realized he couldn't take it anymore and left. But Tess took off after Will, and I know watching him die was hard but LOTS of people bury their spouses and stick around for their kids. It just seemed... premature, I guess. I'm sure being immortal you'd reach a point where you couldn't watch your loved ones die anymore, but she was still in a normal life span... (hide spoiler)] Am I making sense?

Just poppin to say a quick hi. I have been reading all of your posts. Glad you are feeling better Lori.

I am reading for a local book love and this book is going to break my heart. It is about Hemingway and his first wife Hadley. He ultimately had 4 wives, so it is clear where this story is going! She was 8 years older than him and desparately in love with him, ultimatley he cheated on her (I am not at that point in the story though). Supposedly when he was dying he was recorded to say, that he would have rathered have died than fall in love with anyone else besides Hadley. Which, is both heartbreaking and disingenuous at the same time. So I am just reading about their very passionate love ..... and waiting for the destruction of it.

Yay! Troubleshooters is an amazing series. I'm mourning the fact that i'm done with the series and nothing is in the works.

I finished and it's such a fun series and very well written. Then I jumped right into and I knew Nick had a little secret :)
