LMAO! I totally forgot too! I think we may need to do that after experiment in terror... or after the viking book.

I really need to read I Hunt Killers. I know how much you love it and I've been eyeing it at the bookstore.

Were you guys Will fans?

I'm only asking because I loved Will and Jem evenly, and so I was curious if your frustration was because you'd been pulling for Will the whole time and got gypped. I know that Jem fans felt that they got gypped because it ended without them reading (view spoiler).

And then it makes me wonder if people like Stacia and I who loved that the three of them were a perfect triangle of love, not loving one more than the other, thought the ending was perfect....

Yes, that would be awesome! She's already writing The Bane Chronicles. Why not other fan faves, especially since the ID series is finished.

I am guessing that The Bane Chronicles is about Magnus? Maybe if enough fans ask her she will write the novellas.

Makes total sense. I absolutely see your point. I guess the reason why I asked was because I do understand why you feel that way. (view spoiler).

So I guess that's why I was asking, because I feel like I SHOULD feel that way too, but I didn't.

Lori (lorimcd) My addled brain can't keep up with this thread today.

On the Clockwork/TMI thread, will someone please put the recommended reading order of those books? That way, I have it in one place to refer to.

Really, really sick. Doc says walking pneumonia... lovely. Breathing treatments on top of everything else. NOT a happy camper.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments Finished Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2) by Suzanne Wright and I liked it well enough.

Starting Mind Fuck (The Administration, #1) by Manna Francis and White Walls (Asylum, #2) by Lauren Hammond

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I'm reading Off Sides (Off Series, #1) by Sawyer Bennett and it's going ok. I've been in a funk this week so I haven't been reading much.

message 129: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I need to read the Phoenix Pack books. It sounds like many people really like it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments The books are cheesy in parts but still a pretty decent PNR (bordering erotica) offering when comparing to other similar series.

message 131: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments Good to know, Stacia. I always assume PNR books will be cheesy so it's really the matter of how much cheese. LOL I need to move it up my list. I love books about shifters, packs, animalistic mentality so I'm looking forward to reading it.

message 132: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Thank you all for your kind health wishes... I'm starting to feel better - at least enough to read. Ha! I know I'm sick when I don't even want to read.

Thank you for the TMI/Clockwork order, too. I'm 2/3 through City of Bones and I don't feel lost like I did with Clockwork Angel. I watched the trailer on IMDB, too - looks like fun.

message 133: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I'm reading Bound and Determined by Shelley Bradley , who I think it's supposed to be 'funny' erotica. The love scenes have been hot but I've rolled my eyes like a million times.

Glad you are feeling better Lori and that you are back to reading.

message 135: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments DG -- you roll your eyes? :D

Just poppin to say a quick hi. I have been reading all of your posts. Glad you are feeling better Lori.

I am reading The Paris Wife by Paula McLain for a local book love and this book is going to break my heart. It is about Hemingway and his first wife Hadley. He ultimately had 4 wives, so it is clear where this story is going! She was 8 years older than him and desparately in love with him, ultimatley he cheated on her (I am not at that point in the story though). Supposedly when he was dying he was recorded to say, that he would have rathered have died than fall in love with anyone else besides Hadley. Which, is both heartbreaking and disingenuous at the same time. So I am just reading about their very passionate love ..... and waiting for the destruction of it.

There is! There is just a huge build up to it: Gone Too Far (Troubleshooters, #6) by Suzanne Brockmann and they re-appear in lots of books and again as the main characters in Hot Pursuit (Troubleshooters, #15) by Suzanne Brockmann and in some shorts ....

Robyn Rosenberg (bazsmommy) I am reading Take This Regret

message 147: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Yay! Troubleshooters is an amazing series. I'm mourning the fact that i'm done with the series and nothing is in the works.

I finished Spark (Elemental, #2) by Brigid Kemmerer and it's such a fun series and very well written. Then I jumped right into Breathless (Elemental, #2.5) by Brigid Kemmerer and I knew Nick had a little secret :)

I'm so excited to start Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) by Karina Halle tomorrow with everyone.

message 149: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments You should NOT skip 4. It is the best one or one of the best in the series. :)

message 150: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I finished Off Sides (Off Series, #1) by Sawyer Bennett which turned out to be such a surprising little gem. I really liked it for a New Adult book. I might pick up the next book real soon.
