Page Numbers, Just About Page Numbers...
I read this edition of CandideI did also read the introductions, information about Voltaire, the endnotes and the footnotes. I was less interested and did not read the information about the parodies/imitations (about 2 pages).
I am completely agreeable with whatever the moderators say about this book, but it will show up on my shelves as read with 176 pages. I have not currently counted it in the tower team challenge as the book Candide is listed at 31,700 words on ARBookfinder.
Here is some more information about the edition I read: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/candi....
My question is does it qualify for the Tower Teams Challenge, or not?

Shifty Business by Olivia Hardin. According to Amazon this book is 17..."According to smashwords.come = 53,840 word = 215.36 pages Approved.
Kate S, the original word count of Candide, by Voltaire = 36,260 words = 145 pages (which is what WorldCat also says for this edition). With the additions mentioned on B&N, I'm inclined to approved this book for page count of 176.Approved.

Thanks for the reminder, though.

Not a big deal, just noticed she had responded to some other posts after that, so I wanted to give it a bump. :)

Whoa. I have actually found five different word counts for that book. Some that fall in the range and some that don't. The most I've ever had was three for a book. Still, I'll approve it.

Hi.I'm going to finish
today. It has 403 pages, but the font is teeny tiny, so I'm thinking it might qualify as a chunkster. I've looked on AR and WorldCat but can't find a word count. Another member of our team has read this as well. Will you check your sources and see if it might be doable as a chunkster?
Thanks!
Rhonda wrote: "
"Yes, Rhonda, at approximately 152,000 words, it would count as a "chunkster." Approved.
Can I get approval for this one:
. It says 162 but I have someone planning this for one of our first book hunt tasks and don't want to have it discounted too late.
@Vicky - sorry for the delay.Regarding Pretty When They Collide, I was hoping to find a word count and I could not.
I am going to default to the print edition by CreateSpace at 136 pages. Unfortuantely, this book is NOT APPROVED

Approved.
Can someone confirm
? Amazon estimates that the pages are 110 while all romance ebooks states that 41,097 as the word count, which would roughly put it above 160. Thanks,
Hina
Hina wrote: "Can someone confirm..."We will accept the word count (41,097 words) from All Romance ebooks.
APPROVED

APPROVED"Awesome Thanks!
Hina wrote: "Can I ask about one more?..."Based on the descriptions, it does appear that
and
are the same book. I was able to find Judging Jayden on Smashwords and is 52,020 words. APPROVED
A Place in Time is listed as 150 pages on Goodreads and Amazon. Smashwords has it listed at 42,580 words. I figure it's good, but just wanted to get an "official" approval in case anyone else comes across it in the update! :)

APPROVED
ermhmmm i have a problem. i was gonna read
but there are some editions listed as having less then 160 pages. I know i have an actual copy of the book somewhere but sadly i can't find it to check the number of pages.. so i may or may not have made a totally legal dl of the book which is the one i'm going to use. So can i get a ruling? :|

Not approved.
no biggie. i'll read it later i guess. And it would have totally fooled me if my e-reader didn't list it as 50 pages. Even though it usually has a different page count then the books usually have, i thought 50 was a bit low lolbut thanks =)
I was about to start Coraline but thought I'd check here first... my copy is 185 pages, but I flicked through and counted 11 pictures that take up one page each. This still puts it over the minimum page count but since I was only really planning to read it for the October challenge, I'd like to make sure if it is long enough first. Thanks to anyone who can confirm if this or not :)
Jess wrote: "I was about to start Coraline but thought I'd check here first... "Yes, Jess,
has been approved. Thanks for checking!
I am going on holiday next week but will be back in time to update on the last day.But as we are reading and need the actual pages I have a few books I would like the approved pagecount for.
WitchLove by Emma Mills. According to Amazon it is 343 pages.
Tales of Aradia: The Last Witch Volume 1 by L.A. Jones.Again according to Amazon it is 269 pages. In Goodreads it differs from 146 to 368 - I would like to know your take on it.
Well, Jane...
= 71,460 words = 285.84 pages (Smashwords)Let me see what Countess Paige can find on the other one.
Hi CP! Can I have approval for
? Smashword has it listed as 82,710 words which should translate to roughly 330 pages..
Countess Paige:The Aunt Sally Team, by Flick Merauld
Death By Sarcasm, by Dani Amore
Engulfed, by Kathleen Cosgrove
For the event 1 october read-a-thon, I needed page number for this book,
? Its a kindle format, but I have found two different page numbers, so I am not sure which one to use...or just go with the paperback page count.
Lisa Kay wrote: "Countess Paige:The Aunt Sally Team, by Flick Merauld

*bump*
Sorry, Barb, Countess Paige is away until next week. However, I think I will approved Death by Sarcasm and Engulfed. Can you wait on The Aunt Sally Team?
