She laughed without humor. "Yeah? So important I'm in here while you are out there risking your life!"
Jason sat down beside her. "I'm not going to die.""How do you KNOW?" she suddenly shouted.
Tears were streaming down her face. "Jason," she choked.
"I mean it, Piper McLean. Even death will never do us part," Jason said solemnly like a promise. He leaned in really close so even if he whispered, she would hear every word.
"Jason," she croaked again.
"Why do you like me?" She whispered. "Reyna would be so much better for you."
"Reyna is a great praetor, but I'm not looking for another person like me. I want someone different, funny, kind, adventurous, dangerous," he said smiling, remembering when Piper told him she was a dangerous girl.
"But she's so pretty, Piper said.
"Piper," he said firmly. "YOU are gorgeous. I don't care if she's pretty. You're the one I care about.
"Then stay." She begged him. "Please, Jason, stay."
Jason looked her in the eye. "Pipes, they need me out there."
"And I need you here," she cried.
"And I need you here," she cried.
"Piper-""I'll follow you out there," she threatened.
"Your leg-"
"I will DRAG myself," she said.
Jason looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"Jason," she said firmly. "You're not going anywhere!"
"I don't care about me, Jason. That isn't what I am worried about!"
"No!" She grabbed his arm. "Then I'm coming with you!"
Jason was getting a little exasperated and Piper could tell. "Sorry, Jas," she whispered.
"You want me to come with you to the battlefield," Piper spoke in charm speak.

"Alrigh-" He shook his head. "No! No Piper," he said.
"That won't work. You can't charmspeak me into letting you come!!"
"You aren't going to 'let' me do anything!" Piper cried.
"Piper," he says, clapping a hand over her mouth. "We're making a scene. Please just stay here."

"Please Piper," Jason pleaded. Suddenly, he slipped his hand off her mouth and kissed her. "Please," he whispered against her lips. Piper's will melted.

"Okay." She sighs in defeat. (wouldnt it be funny if he is about to die and she saves him? And then she could be like, "lucky I saved your butt,")

And is greeted by a monsters face. "Why, hello ugly," he said.
In response, the monster roared in his face.
He drew out his coin and flipped it. "I hope you aren't allergic to Tartus," he said.
The monster tilted its head to the side as if asking him what he was talking about.
Then, Jason sprung forward and and struck the monster in the side of it's body. It screeched and lunged at Jason, but he was faster. He leaped on top of the hideous thing and grabbed ahold of its scales.
The monster was confused. Obviously it didn't have good peripherals.
Then, it gained its senses and fought back. Jason held on for his life. The monster started towards the building that held Piper."Oh no, ugly." Jason growled. "You aren't touching my girlfriend."
(BACK!)tHE MONSTER ROARED
In one fast motion, the beast twisted, knocking Jason off its back. Jason fell and landed hard on his shoulder. Claws reached towards his neck and he fought desperately to keep them away from him, but the pain was making his vision blurry.
He finally passed out and as the monster closed in, Tolers yelled, charging, and striked the beast between its necks
It roared and hit Tolers.HE went flying, and reached back for Jason, who was desperately trying to get away.
(Sorry, Toilers)Toilers managed to reach Jason in time and, thanks to Clarisse's teachings, managed to protect them both.

For about two seconds. Then, Jason felt himself being lifted by the monster."I'm sorry, Piper," he whispered.
But death never came. Something knocked into him and he went flying. He opened his eyes and saw Piper.
Piper.
"you can't get away from me that easy," she teased.
Toilers got angry and hacked more violently after the deamon rasped out "Toilets"
