message 701: by Serena (new) - rated it 4 stars

Serena "Nico, what's wrong - really? You've faced a cyclops before. They...mimic people." Jason saw that Nico was sickly pale instead of his usual just plain pale.

message 702: by [deleted user] (new)

"This was different, Jason."

message 703: by [deleted user] (new)

Jason walked over to him and looked at him closely.
"Are you sure you're okay?"

message 704: by [deleted user] (new)

"I don't know, Jas," Nico finally decided to say. He was feeling out of sorts and really wanted to see Rachel.

message 705: by [deleted user] (new)

He walked away from the gathering circle of bystanders, breathing heavily. Jason watched him carefully, half expecting him to fall over any second.

message 706: by [deleted user] (new)

There was way too much for him to think about. He needed Annabeth. She was always good at helping him solve problems.

message 707: by [deleted user] (new)

Once he left, there were a chorus of screams behind him.

message 708: by Serena (new) - rated it 4 stars

Serena (Regarding Sarah's message : Philia, as goddess of friendship and having sites of forgotten gods - I would like as Greek mythology had a lot of gods and goddesses of seas, wells, rivers, springs, lakes, and much more a god of the ocean of fear - the Black Sea, the inhospitable " Melanaigis" which means Dark Aegis - aegis is not only the weapon of Athena /Zeus but a goatish/stormy word - I hope to see other "forgotten gods " soon http://www.theoi.com/ is a favoured site of Rick and I hope you also find it useful in making your gods /goddesses )

message 709: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 01, 2013 07:18PM) (new)

(Cool :) We can have them visit these forgotten gods/goddesses in a quest of some sort. Maybe being guided by Philia to find the friend that makes the sacrifice of prophecy? Not sure though spitting out ideas)

message 710: by Serena (new) - rated it 4 stars

Serena (Could be...I like that idea! We are creating a lot of not very friend like feelings with Nemesis so Sarah might have Philia do something to help them)

message 711: by [deleted user] (new)

(That would be funny. I like it!!)

message 712: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (glad u guys r ok with the idea)

message 713: by [deleted user] (new)

(Awesome research! :))

Isabella (All Da Ladies Luv Leo) Thomas (I got braces today. I look cute in them! Braces nake beautifull faces!!)

Nico jerked his head towards the screams and saw amother monster bite Clarrise's hand. (not off)

message 715: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (okay well by the end of today, please have an idea for your god/godess so percy and annabeth can find the Temple of the Forgotten. Just know their name, power, symbol, and some background and don't forget to include why they were forgotten. We will develop each one better later. Do you guys like my idea for Philia or should I get a new one?)

message 716: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 02, 2013 08:39AM) (new)

(ditto :) Do we research a real god/goddess or make one up?)

message 717: by Serena (new) - rated it 4 stars

Serena (you can do a bit of both, no doubt; the name should mean something in Greek, and not be a well known trait of the gods and goddesses already of Olympus)

Sarah ღ (Sarah did u get my message?)

Sarah ღ (already done :))

message 720: by [deleted user] (new)

(I'll try and get around to that today, but im busy all day so i might not be able to get it up there. but i shall try!!!)

Sarah ღ (thx Sarah and no i didnt make her up :P sadly im not that creative :( and ya i thought she was pretty cool and she even has a roman counterpart (luna))

message 722: by [deleted user] (new)

message 723: by [deleted user] (new)

(Doing mine now...)

Isabella (All Da Ladies Luv Leo) Thomas (how about Julikiana the godess of the forbidden? Or Frtander the god of punishments? or Tayungagala the godess of cold? or finally Undner the god of poison? PS. All of these made up and if you want you can make the background sories or I could. I'm a very creative verson)

message 725: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah ( I think we should have a Forgotten Council of 12, here us what we have got so far. I am adding two more of my own tomorrow, please submit ideas so we can get this going on Monday:
Julikiana the godess of the forbidden? Or Frtander the god of punishments? or Tayungagala the godess of cold? or finally Undner the god of poison?
(submitted by Isabella)
My goddess is Metallon, goddess of bronze (Roman form Allicyrpus). She is a daughter of Hephaestus and she was born when he combined copper and tin while his wife Aglaia (read somewhere they got married) was helping him tend the fire that melted the two metals down. Metallon is "metal" in Greek (since bronze is a metal) and Allicyrpus is from alligare (alloy) and Cyprus (the metal used to make bronze) in Latin is where her name comes from. She is a forgotten goddess because Greeks turned to iron instead of bronze, making her not popular. She can work with regular bronze and celestial bronze, she has Hephaestus's and Aglaia's (Grace of Splendor) traits so she can make different things out of metal but she only makes weapons/bronze things for those who have a good intention for it. She has anything she made out of bronze at her disposal for defense. Flaws: she can't touch iron or anything rusty because it's opposite of bronze and since she is the goddess of two things put together to make one, she has split personalities. Sometimes she's benevolent and kind and sometimes she's vengeful. Bronze is made of 2/3 copper and 1/3 tin so her vengeful side is more prominent.. She has coppery, bronzish hair and fiery-black eyes (but her appearance changes like fire changes). Her symbol is a coin with one half bronze and the other gold with the inscription to i̱ mía apó tis enó̱seis (the one from compounds). Is this too much info?

Name: Enochi which is Geek for Guilt
Power(s): Makes people feel remorseful
Symbol: A dog, because feel remorse when they do something bad (you know, the little dogs with the big, I'm sorry eyes in pictures...)
Background: She is the forgotten goddess of Guilt, daughter of Hades and Persephone.
Why they are a forgotten god/goddess: More and more people stopped feeling guilty for the things they did, and the things they did just got worse.
(submitted by Nicole)
Name : Melanaigis
Power(s) : can still the Black Sea, or cause storms upon it; can change his shape.
Symbol : a black goat
Background : the son of Pontus and Thalassa
Why are they a forgotten god/goddess : Poseidon being god of the sea and overshadowing him.
(submitted by Rena)
Name: Selene

Power(s): Mainly the moon but also the night, ocean tides, magic, childbirth, dew, lunacy, nursing and the months. So by extension, her domain encompasses everything the moon can be connected to.

Symbol: Crescent, raised cloak, bull, rooster, dog and torch

Background:She is called the daughter of Hyperion, the Titan lord of light, watching and the east by his wife and sister Theia, Titaness of sight, tracing and the shining blue light of heaven (aethre). Theia was also known by the names of Euryphaessa and Aethra. This makes Selene the sister of Helios (the sun) and Eos (the dawn).

Why they are a forgotten god/goddess: Not sure, shes not completly forgotten but shes not thought of too much

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selene

Her Roman Counter part: Luna

Love life and Children:

Her great love was Endymion, a shepherd/prince or the king of Elis depending on which version you read. One day while pulling the moon across the sky, she spotted Endymion and fell in love. She asked Zeus to grant him immortality, and Zeus put him into eternal sleep so he may never grow old or die. Together they had fifty daughters called the Menae. They ruled over each of the fifty months that separates each Olympic games.
To Zeus she bore three daughters. Pandeia a goddess of youth who was sometimes associated with the brightness of the sun or the full moon. Ersa, goddess of the dew and the nymph/goddess Nemeia. Furthermore the Nemean lion was said to be fathered by Zeus as well.
She also had an encounter with the great nature god Pan, who deceived her by wrapping himself in sheepskin and offered her a ride on his back. While they were airborne, he raped her.
With her brother Helios she was said to be the mother of the four Horae, goddesses of the seasons.
Lastly, Selene was said to have had one mortal child, a son named Mousaios who was a poet.

And crap I deleted my message.... Can someone copy and paste my information about Philia? That is, if you guys like her)

Isabella (All Da Ladies Luv Leo) Thomas I like Julikiana or Metallon.

message 727: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow that's a lot...

message 728: by [deleted user] (new)

WOWWWWW :) This is going to be awesome!

message 729: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah Here is another one that I really like....but i made her up so she isnt really that creative:

Evelyn
Goddess of Temptation and deception
Symbol is the Apple
Background: She was born when a Siren and tempted one of the gods (unknown) to have an affair with them. Evelyn was born, and became even more powerful than a Siren. Instead of it being an illusion, she can make a physical, real, thing of what you want, but it will usually end up becoming deadly.
Why she is forgotten: The Council banned her when she had an incident with Hermes. She was in love with him, and he broke her heart for someone else. Outraged, she tempted him with the possibility of becoming mighty and powerful, something not offered to a simple messenger god. He was allured in by her terrible power, and the temptation turned into a snake and bit him, the poison injuring him and keeping him unhealthy for a few months. She joined the council of the Forgotten, hoping to get her revenge on Hermes and the rest of the gods. She is one of their most useful weapons.

Sarah (thx to Rena for resending me this)
Mine is the goddess of courage, friendship, and kindness. Her name is Philia, which is modern Greek for friendship. Her symbol is A vinca blossom, which grow some places in Greece. She was forgotten because for a long period of time, humans grew selfish and cowardly and forgot to be kind and corageous.

message 731: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow guys!! This is some awesome stuff!!!

message 732: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (thx. erin, u want to do one? ;) )

Isabella (All Da Ladies Luv Leo) Thomas Sarah wrote: "(thx to Rena for resending me this)

Aren't they supposed to be evil?

message 734: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (nope)

message 736: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah they are just forgotten because they did one thing wrong, or humans lost some of their values. Like, Calypso, for example, is an outcast, but she is nice.

message 737: by [deleted user] (new)

Sarah wrote: "(thx. erin, u want to do one? ;) )"

Ya! but I'm trying to multi-task and do homework and stuff at the same time so it might take a while

message 738: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (ok well I am going to get back to the story now!)

message 739: by [deleted user] (new)

Clarisse did not scream when the monster bit her. She only narrowed her eyes in a way that you said "you'll be sorry you ever came out of Tartarus".

(how many more gods/goddesses do we need?)

message 740: by [deleted user] (new)

"Not so tough now, huh?"

message 741: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah The monster screamed in response.

message 742: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (uh, what should happen now?)

message 743: by [deleted user] (new)

(maybe the Camp gets Iris messaged from the Council of the Forgotten showing Percy and Annabeth in great danger and we can pick up Percabeth's adventure from there?)

message 744: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (okay random question, can anyone find Jason and Piper's first kiss? Or a romantic moment?)

message 745: by [deleted user] (new)

(first kiss (the made up one) in HOO is the dream that Piper has right before she meets Aphrodite and get's transported to that cafe with the turquoise dress on)

message 746: by [deleted user] (new)

(We never see the first "real" Piper and Jason kiss, it happens in the months between SoN and LH)

message 747: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (darn it! But they do kiss, i found it in MoA)

message 748: by Sarah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sarah (okay, here comes Jason and Piper)
"Jason, I just feel so helpless," Piper complained.

message 749: by [deleted user] (new)

"Your hurt, Pipes. You can't risk your life anymore. Your too important," Jason said calmly.

message 750: by [deleted user] (new)

(This is off topic, but can i still send you my god/goddess person, Sarah?)
